This statement and owning 10 MG's somehow seem at odds to me Ciao I am always at odds to that statement and I have only 4 Guzzi's ..... 4 Ducati's, a Cagiva, a Laverda 750 SFC, a BMW R90 (in parts), a BSA Sloper (in parts), 2 Puchs, a Honda mini-bike and a KZ 750B twin vintage racer project. I am at odds with a lot of things ......

Hey Puch had some hot machines, I had a 175 cc motocrosser that was untouchable by others in the day and they built a twin carb 250cc moto cross bike that produced 50+ hp. So with a little tweeking....hmmm I am rebuilding a 175 MX now and when I'm done a 125 MX. I'll post some pictures .... waaaaay cooler than some BMW. Docc ...... I doubt that any spawn of mine would be moping around ....... but that's no reason to NOT trash talk him. Spare the rod ..... spoil the child, I say!!!

That's nuthin' ..... my illegitimate son (whom I've never met and I'm not really sure where he lives even) put his Puch on the dyno and got 268 hp. Not bad for a moped!

His curfew is 10:30 so he never has to worry about being out late ....!! -
Nicely done .... very tidy. I see that this is the same Rosso Mandello that was listed on eBay recently. What's the status now?

I know ..... fecking sad! I still have tickets ... they will be valid if there is a tour in March. -
I'm not sure but I think that is young Dave. I didn't even think of that when I posted but I'll have to check. I'll send him a message .... Hopefully he'll understand my French. Sent from my electronic device!

They are both works of art ... and Falappa was a crazy fast racer ..... but I still like the looks of the Magni just a little bit more ....!!

HAWKWIND

That sounds magnanimous but unfortunately it seems that Nik is still suing Hawkwind and the tour has been postponed until spring. Bugger ....! Sent from my electronic device! -
I think most of the bikes that lose in WSS and WSB would be seriously good sportbikes by that yardstick. Sent from my electronic device!

Hmmmmm ....... I suppose I could point out to you the fact that an MGS-01 did rather well beating much more recent models of Ducati at Daytona and in Italy and probably many other places ...... but that's not what I meant. I was talking about looks .... and I like the looks of an 888. But I like the looks of the Magni Guzzi even more. In the hands of a talented rider such a Mr. Guareschi even a lowly V7 can make more powerful bikes look lame if you are referring to racing and not looks! Sent from my electronic device!

When you take the tank off ... if you have removed the top from your airbox then make sure the heat shield glued to the bottom of the tank is not drooping down and covering the intake to the airbox. Just a thought ....

I saw that one too! What a nice bike ... makes an 888 Ducati look lame!

I found this cleanable oil filter from PC Racing. I have heard good things about this type of filter and I like that it has its own magnetic pick-up as well but I am not familiar with this brand. I have access to an ultra-sonic cleaner which is the best device for cleaning this type of filter. Any information and/or feedback would be greatly appreciated. http://www.pcracingusa.com/Moto-Guzzi-PCS4C-PCS4B_p_36.html Video reviews http://youtu.be/6w22wzKJhRU http://youtu.be/99JrthDPPhA Cheaper on ebay .... with free shipping within USA. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/PC-Racing-FLO-Polished-Reusable-Oil-Filter-Moto-Guzzi-MGS-01-Corsa-2005-2007-/330965977621?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d0f1c0a15&vxp=mtr&_uhb=1

Anyone buy a fender eliminator recently?
helicopterjim R.I.P. replied to mznyc's topic in Technical Topics
That looks like the same shell for a light from an early LED tail light - fender eliminator kit. The original ones didn't have signal lights integrated nor were they very bright. In fact they have such poor lighting I would deem them hazardous for daytime driving. I would be interested in this one if you could give me some assurance that it is bright enough to be seen well in daylight. -
..... and for those of you who find the frog truly annoying .....!!!! http://youtu.be/DcxW3zvUyGU

Pretty cool! No GMG? We'll put on our own party!
helicopterjim R.I.P. replied to mznyc's topic in 24/7 V11
That was actually organized by 3 local clubs and was not a spontaneous event. They had been planning this since June. It was their good fortune that the factory opened for them. Quote from Alis Agostini ... daughter of the late Duilio Agostini: . -

Interesting story from Wikipedia about the 'spherical rod end bearing' being developed in WWII ... I know of some pre-war aircraft that use joints that we would refer to as tie-rod ends with a spherical connection nestled in a socket. The spherical bearing allows the stress to be more in line with the action of the rod. One pre-war helicopter I looked at had tie-rod bearings for the pitch links controlling the angle of the rotor blades. I cringed thinking of the feedback forces on that system ....!! In aviation heim joints or rose joints are usually called spherical bearings. -
Best way to break in new rings is to warm the bike up .... drive it at full throttle through the gears (ooops .... where can I do that?) .... until almost topped out ..... then let it coast down to a stop and repeat. Two runs should be enough. A dyno works well for not getting tickets ....!!
