Ahhhh! You want to get rid of the emissions shit?? I would have to look at my bike to guide you but all I can say is ditch whatever looks unnessesary and cap off the rest. How's that for the simple version? -

Dear Slowpoke Don't mess with the buttons on the PC III. They are only temporary. If you still have problems after a dyno session than you should only adjust the graph they gave you and only in small increments. I f you haven't been on the dyno then either go on one or find a graph that matches your set-up exactly. Good luck mate!!

Pull the tank off and get rid of the little valve that prevents fuel from leaking if the bike falls over - we know you will never let that happen! You will find that there is no more venting or suction when you open the gas cap! If you need more details just ask!

Francesco!!! You and I must ride my MGS-01 when I get it - yes - I don't know when but I am sure they are scared of when I do have it!!! We will show them how it is done - no? P.S. I was riding my Rossi today withh a group of riders and one was on a Tenni. Great bike!!!!!

Am looking for all my 'fat dollars'. Looked under my CANADIAN passport and only found some 'skinny Canadian dollars'. Hope they are good enough. No worries. most of the trip is company expenses so I'm sure I can afford a couple of days on my own. Cheers! -
Also forgot to mention that the SuperTwin looks like an awesome bike and if I ever am in Texas I'd love to mix it up with ya!! I havn't raced for twenty years but then Jim Redman came back in his fifties and won at Daytona so maybe I'll still have something left in me. I never was any good at the sprint races but when I went endurance racing I had a blast and our team was reasonably succesful. We figured that finishing the 24 hours at Nelson Ledges was a victory in itself and our third place finish made it even sweeter. But that was another era......

Still havn't heard from anyone who has done it themselves!!!! Go ahead and try running a bike at 100 percent for twelve hours. Is YOUR bike ready for it???? I am still impressed with any team that can even finish an endurance race. So unless you have been there and can show me otherwise, the MGS-01 in its first race was phenominal!!!

All Canadian bikes come with California specs as do all US bikes I believe. The flat spot on my Rosso Mandello was so annoying (4000 to 5000 rpm) that I ahd to change something before I had 5000 km on the bike. I couldn't ride in in that rpm range at all. Now 4500 to 5000 rpm is my favourite range because it all starts happening there. I don't think the European bikes have much of a flat spot if any.

No - that is available to all Moto Guzzi dealers. The unit I saw is similar to the system Fuelinjectedmoto of Australia uses. It will 'reburn' the memory of the module to a complete new curve. It is available to 'some ' Aprilia dealers. I presume it would work best with a dyno and a gas analyser. I saw it at a Guzzi/Aprilia dealer in Sydney, Australia and it was mostly used to convert any bikes that were shipped with California specs (ie very lean midrange and corresponding flat spot). The Australians conform to the European specs and get very upset with the Cal spec bikes. It is also used to set up the bike when certain Aprilia factory performance parts are installed. It is also used for Moto Guzzi problems but the dealer said they don't use it as much. They don't have many problems with the Guzzi's when set to European specs.

It is true that some problems may occur with the PC III but there are several user submitted profiles on the Power Commander website that usually fix them. A dyno would be helpful but it is only required if you go farther and add stuff like headwork or raised compression. I wish all Moto Guzzi dealers had the equipment the Aprilia dealers have access to. It will reprogram the stock ECU box and saves adding extra's like the PC III.

The price of the MGS-01 Corsa is expected to be about 20,000 euro's or 24,000 US dollars. I don't know the price for the street version but I have heard it will be about 17,000 euros.

Most businesses are closed but yes I can rent at Agostini's and the Moto Guzzi museum will be open but the factory closed. Hotels are open but usually quite full. I have reservations in a couple of places and the rest of my trip is business and all arranged. -

Thankyou Orson. I spoke to an Italian friend the other day who gave the same advice. He gave me directions to some obscure mountain passes that shouldn't be too busy. -
BULLSHIT is right Thankyou Francesco. I dare anyone to go try a 12 hour endurance race and see how hard it is. I raced endurance when I was 25 years old and it was incredibly hard work. Any team that can finish an endurance race has shown they have, among many things, an incredibly tough bike. Any team that can change a complete gearbox in 16 minutes is incredible! When I get my MGS-01 (when, not if) I shall invite Francesco to come race with me.

PC III is adefinite must but you may also appreceiate the benefites of a Mistral or Stucchi crossover. The Mistral boosts midrange like you wouldn't belieive and the Stucchi is great for top end. Fast by Ferracci has some great downloads for the PC III for these combinations. Enjoy the sound and the power.

I cannot access the image you posted. Does it involve a flashlight and tape? Perhaps the gear shift can be incorporated into the left boot and brake pedal in the right boot. That brings forth possibilities for gloves but then what could be located in the seat of the pants?

I am travelling through northern Italy in August. I am renting a Moto Guzzi in Mandello del Lario and would like suggestions on places to ride in the immediate area. I am only there for 2 days.
