WTF?) “You’ve got the wrong oil!” “You mentioned your god!” “Your friends talk too much!” “You ride a hog!” “I’ll buy you a beer if I don’t kill you first.” “Hey I don’t even ride!” “Hey I hate your shirts!” What’s wrong with these guys? Well the problem’s well known Just exactly like last year It’s Parked Motorcycle Syndrome. So what do we do for this seasonal ill? Do we ban? Do we cancel? Do we change? I bought a brand new slipper clutch from a Ducati shop in Italy a few months back. It arrived 5 days later by post - in a plain cardboard box with no customs declaration. I was not charged any duty. Who would have thought the combination of fast shipping from Italy and no duty would be possible? I would never expect either one by itself .....

My friend has shortened the stock bars and then made bar tip adapters to add Aprilia Dorsoduro hand guards. It makes a significant change. I'll try and get a photo for you.

It would but you wouldnt have the 6 speed box. Ciao Nor would you have the steeper fork angle of the early V11's. I've always thought that the V11 motor was meant for the Centauro's handling and style and the V10 motor better suited the V11's style and handling. Perhaps I'll look for another V11 - switch motors and have the best of three world's! HA! The wheelies with the V10 motor - I can see the purist's cringing already!

I would suspect that your faulty tachometer was misreading RPM's - not controlling them. There is nothing in the tachometer that can send a signal to the ECU to change rev limits unless your bike has a singularly unique system that no one is aware of at this time. If so - I hope you kept the original tach - Marelli may want to pay big money for the chance to examine it's systems!!

Have a look at the dyno runs HERE and you will see that max HP is normally achieved at or just shy of maximum rpm.

You mean max torque - power is different and it peaks at the top of the rev limits ....

My bike leans considerably on the sidestand and I would probably have a difference of over 1 litre oil if I measured that way. The correct method is holding the bike vertical - your method would only work if his bike leaned at exactly the same angle as yours.

You must have less than half the required amount of oil in your motor. The oil must be checked when the bike is vertical.
