  1. Who's going to hold the lighter?
  2. Well I hope that I can say you've brought some good "Craic"to the forum but I'm only a heathen "Canajun eh" so I hope I have not blown it with some bad spelling or such. I have only spent time in Warrenpoint and vicinity so I am no expert but anywhere I did go the feeling was great - as in GOOD CRAIC! I look forward to returning!
  3. I don't have any kids and I don't care if I am forgiven. If I can meet the third criterion I'm outta here!
  4. Feck me. That is one nice complete looking package. The power must be brutal if I am reading the specs correctly (146 Nm at 5,500 rpm and 99,0 KW (134,6 CV) at 7,100 rpm). The 1420 cc might be a small part of it. It doesn't mention if it has gained any weight though. i expect it did with the water cooling but with that power who cares.
  5. I couldn't have said it better myself. I also know both Dealers and have friends at both. I appreciate your "fence sitting". I also appreciate the good points of both and recognize the flaws as well. Perhaps a recent visit from Canadian Scooter Corp with regards to the parts issues may show some change in the right direction but it has a long way to go. I would have to think long and hard about how I would make my next Guzzi purchase!!
  6. Now all breast can be Double D's!!!
  7. I have been a racist since I first watched a movie of Ago and Mike racing at the IOM. Racism is a lovely religion when you really think about it!
  8. I think I meant they don't have any American holidays. Can't quite remember because there was wine involved when I wrote it. Then again they probably have Santa Claus. He comes from Atlanta I think.
  9. Doh1 I have to say I knew that but screwed up. I have the same story about the glider. There was a movie made where they did use a glider and although the movie was different from the real story the glider design was close to the original. My friends father escaped by hiding in a storm drain in an exercise yard. When they did roll call they had a wax bust with shoulders that they hung a coat on (2 of them) and a fellow inmate held this up to make the extra 'bodies'for the appel! Then at night it was over the fence and slowly head back to Holland posing as conscripted labourers.
  10. I will look into the thermostat. Thanks Paul Jim
  11. But what about the brakes?
  12. Does this work every time?
  13. One of my best friends when I was a young man had a good friend of Dutch descent. I didn't know until much later that his father was one of the successful escapes from Colditz Castle. This is where the baddest of the bad (Ahem- like Douglas Bader - of one leg fame -he is so bad! - shitty goalie that he was = not!) were interred. He actually made it from East Germany to Holland and survived the war. He was also an incredibly good man - don't know how to put it into words but he was so proud of anything us young lads did that was forward thinking. Anyways - TV is cool and I will always love it but reality is so much cooler than anything else!!
  14. I am not 100% sure but I think Ireland does nothing with respect to USA unless they need something. However I am one who loves to be proven wrong. Perhaps Belfast will straighten out this dilemma!
  15. You can have all the Molson Canadian you want. Can't help you with the other stuff! Ryan? Steve? Am I right?
  16. Hey! The word is that they are going to be proactive on the problems!! All is well and I WILL get my Stelvio someday! My V11 is being sorted for the sensor problem today and Gord wants to sell Guzzis. They are looking at getting some pseudo Army/ Guzzi jackets in that may or may not be cool. If they are cool - I want one! This is the jacket I want! Guzzi Bomber
  17. I used the wiring loom from a Ducati 749. I needed to adapt a couple of connectors but it worked well. I also used the Aprilia Leonardo headlamp and a Centauro oil cooler. I don't know if there will be issues with the cooler as it is about 15% smaller in area but i don't expect race speeds when on the road.
  18. How about this? Reminiscent of Ghost Busters in the commentary but I have a bottle that I bought in Newport Beach signed by Dan himself. I have not tried it yet but if it is made in Newfoundland it will likely be potent if anything!! Crystal Head Vodka
  19. I think that is one of the movies (16 mm) that I watched at a local motorcycle club meeting when I was 15 years old (the other one was about Ago vs Mike the Bike at the IOM). I wanted a cafe racer so bad after that that I made some clubman bars for my old Honda 90 C200. The next year I had a Suzuki X6 Hustler with pipes and such. I did my road licence test with that bike even though it was bump start only (got bad marks for starting the bike and doing a wheelie/stoppie in the acceleration/deceleration test). After two seasons and 4 top end rebuilds I got a Laverda SFC (still have it), went racing at Mosport, Shannonville, St. Jovite, Nelson Ledges and it has been a wonderful life!! They really don't make movies like that anymore, or race like that even. It was a fun time. Thanks Ryan Jim
  20. Not in my manual!
  21. I see that this is not at all related to the other thread which deals with corrupted signals from the sensors but instead an interrupted signal as in loss of signal. Aside from the phase sensor then a broken wire or damaged sensor would then cause the ECU to go to an average value and produce a limp home mode. Now I wonder if this is an across the board average value or only an average value for the interrupted signal? The interpretation indicates only for the sensor that is interrupted so it may not change much if it is only the ambient air temperature sensor or even the oil temperature sensor. However a loss of TPS signal would probably default to a value that would definitely make the bike limp badly. Next thought. If a loss of signal from say the ambient air temperature provides an average value that doesn't change the ECU function drastically then how would you know that there was a fault if you did not pay too much attention to how your bike is running?
  22. Well at least most of my guesses were French! Motocecoche?
  23. Now ya tell me!!!!
