Why not just run a hose out to under the rear fender and have it empty into a baby bottle. Joey Dunlops first bike had that I think (it was a 250cc BSA)
I was thinking of putting a ratcheting lock on my filters so that they could never come off. Then I would cut a hole in the bottom of the filter and make an access port where I could put replaceable cartridge filters.
I think there is merit to the piece added to the access cover but has anyone measered the variations of the lengths of different make filters? I would imagine there could be some drastic differences there.
US $25,600.00 and reserve not met. The reserve has even been lowered.
Well we know what the answer to the poll is.
Almost 8,000 people watching the auction now.
I always wondered where it goes to when it goes away? Maybe to some diesel tractor somewhere? Belfasts brain maybe (I know there is something rattling in there).
I was visiting Valley Moto Guzzi in Chilliwack this afternoon and I was shown a service bulletin from Guzzi stating that all the new Guzzi's (except the ones with hydraulic lifters) require 10W60 100% synthetic oil. It was also indicated that all the new Aprilias require it as well.
I couldn't believe the price of the oil in the catalogue. Over 20 dollars Canadian (18 USD or 14 EURO) per litre.
I am considering the synthetic for my MGS because it does run very hot. I don't know if I'll use it on my other bikes but if global warming is for real we'll need some oils that are capable of handling the high heat.
Valley Moto Guzzi did buy 2 barrels of AGIP 100% Synthetic 4T Racing Oil so their price for oil is 16.95 CDN (about 14.60 USD or 11.00 EURO). I may just convert my fleet at that price.
Must have come out when I was away flying. I will give a look tonight when I get home.
It does look like a Gilera but Benelli had some 4's as did quite a few others.
Those crash protectors will help and the cylinder head guards are great but to have the best protection you would need sliders on the rear axle and solid - not folding - footpegs plus good bar end protection. None of this will save the bike in a highside or major crash but with all the kit then a simple lowside or parking lot tip--over may leave you with little or no damage at all.
I'll talk to my friend who makes the hard plastic sliders for racebikes (they are ridiculously easy to make) about making a set the I'll post some pictures here and see if anyone is interested. They are not expensive either but to buy them from a bike shop they mark them up 200%.
Cheers

The American biker movement had its roots in World War II (Hells Angels started from a group of bomber pilots).
It seems that the German biker movement had its roots in WWII as well!!
Isn't that because one cylinder fires before the other one does?
Thanks to the less than 100 RWHP I can ride agressively and not get 50 speeding tickets for driving excessively!!
The size of the plate in this girls lip indicates the size of her dowry!
In men isn't it their show size? ..... or is that the size their .... oh darn, I forget now!
Anyways, who is going to measure the compression on those lip seals?
Possibly bad gasoline or water contamination (although I doubt that). Don't lug your bike at low revs if it feels like this. Try fresh gas soon!
About the greasing part! I doubt anyone here on this forum knows anything about that!
