  1. Ben, it looks so much better in natural light. For me, I would live with it for a while because there are some nice colour matches when it is outside. The grey fender bit matches the seat, the front fender bit matches the tailpiece and the fairing matches the pipes. I think you need a black frame now as the red frame and porkchops get a little busy but that is my opinion. With a black frame the porkchops would balance the tank a little better and then you may just have a winner. I think you are doing well! Cheers! Jim
  2. Ummm .....you are in Scotland you know.
  3. Any guesses as to what this will sell for? IN THE BOX 900SS Edit! Price in US dollars!
  4. Only if he lets me ride his Ducati as well!!
  5. I hope he really does mean his sister and doesn't have some ulterior motive in mind!!
  6. The angle between the valves on that motor is one of the narrowest I've ever seen for a 2 valve motor!! The power of that motor must combine torque and horsepower to exceed even the Buell engine!! I would much enjoy seeing that bike on a racetrack!!
  7. One more reason to fear Armageddon! Fire and Brimstone!!!
  8. I'm not sure but I think Ryan is implying that "micro accurate" wrist torque is the same as hand tightening while at the same time you agree with Gary Cheeks statement about not hand tightening and not to use UFI filters.
  9. If you look at the graph of the hockey stick you will notice that the main part of the stick is flat and the short piece on the end is angled upwards. In the real world Mother Nature would fix this problem by giving the planet Earth a penalty for high sticking. After cooling down in the penalty box for a period of time then Earth could resume play!
  10. In other words it has sheeps-foot? Sheep's-foot` n. 1. A printer's tool consisting of a metal bar formed into a hammer head at one end and a claw at the other, - used as a lever and hammer. goat's foot - short-stemmed South African plant with bluish flowers
  11. Need more sponsors!! Cigarettes are out. How about liquor and sex sponsorship? These could be the umbrella girls for the Shanghai GP!!
  12. That's not a hockey stick!!! This is a hockey stick!!!
  13. Another poll maybe? Antonio!! Pass me that bottle of wine!!
  14. Perhaps it is more Mexican than Italian?
  15. Well said and I am looking forward to the pics. I don't know about riding yet because we have more rain forecast (although one day of fair weather maybe). I think I'll go get a bike ready to ride for a day! It's about time!!
  16. Pete. It is infinitessimally more interesting. I believe it could be the start of a new thread even.
  17. What time is it? It is time for this!!!
  18. Jaap gives 8,120,000 hits so just remember who God is on this forum.
  19. Pitt was mechanical, the other three lowsided. Top speed of the Ducati was significantly more than the other bikes and power on the straightaway was definitely a factor. Rossi knew he needed to have a 10 to 15 bikelenght advantage over Stoner to beat him to the finish line. He passed a few times but couldn't make it stick and then Stoner turns in his fastest lap on the last lap leaving Rossi withno choice but to watch. Here are the top 6 max speeds on the main straigtaway (of which the finish line is well down the straight). 27 Casey STONER AUS........Ducati Marlboro Team DUCATI........324.7 Qualifying Practice 65 Loris CAPIROSSI ITA......Ducati Marlboro Team DUCATI.........323.5 Qualifying Practice 66 Alex HOFMANN GER.........Pramac d'Antin DUCATI.................322.6 Qualifying Practice 4 Alex BARROS BRA.............Pramac d'Antin DUCATI.................319.5 Qualifying Practice 26 Dani PEDROSA SPA.........Repsol Honda Team HONDA...........317.9 Free Practice Nr. 3 21 John HOPKINS USA..........Rizla Suzuki MotoGP SUZUKI..........313.1 Qualifying Practice
  20. Here is a quote from Rossi;
  21. What a great race. Those two rode so well and so fast. I wasn't sure he could put the move on at the end because the other fellow was so consistent and kept bumping up the lap times. In the end he couldn't - said his tires were sliding from the pace. The best and fastest guy won and won well!! What a great race!! PS No issues with fuel.
  22. I don't know if they are related but there are concerns that the Ducati may not have enough fuel to go the full race.
  23. I thought the raw meat was bad enough!! Whatever could Belfast be up to now? Perhaps he is merely preparing for a trip to Australia ...
