  1. OK. Clue. Name relavant to political climate in Italy at the time!!
  2. Egads! I have missed a lot whilst I was away! Not much I can contribute except that the Irish might be related to Zulu's. They had their knobkerries and they just may have cracked as many English skulls as the shillelagh!!
  3. Sorry for the wait. I've been away flying again. Well, like I say close but not quite what my source says. So close even but I cannot say more. Later .....!
  4. I like that rule. Yeah I did meet Brian. Good fellow. I'll try and take you up on that one and I hope you can make it over for our ride. I've got a line on accomodation already that should be reasonable. Spouses are welcome too even if they just want to spend the day socialising while the other half goes riding!
  5. Interesting as the seller is a Moto Guzzi and scooter dealer in Toronto. I have also heard that the quality of the jackets is good!
  6. I prefer Aviation Gasoline. It is 100 octane (equivalent to about 92 or 93) and is formulated to sit in a fuel tank for long periods of time. Many general aviation aircraft sit for monthes and monthes and never have problems with fuel unless contaminated from an external source. Jim
  7. There is this seller on ebay that has some nice jackets but they are not exactly the same. I know some of the jackets are factory and some are not. Check out his other sales as well. ebay jacket
  8. For anyone who is not concerned with accuracy we have this instead!
  9. He must have been a fantastic guy. Today he would build the sweetest sounding Guzzi's of all time!!
  10. No it's not so bad as you think Antonio. They both want to buy the new Norge and I can see some benefit in this. When I ride to the wine regions of Canada with my friends then Vivian can carry many more bottles of wine in her Norge luggage. This is good. When I ride with Bruce he can carry extra food and beer in his luggage. this is also good. I will only need to carry my credit card and this is how motorcycling should be. Thank you for your concern Antonio!!
  11. I have another friend who is also buying a Norge and is selling his LeMans. Power Commander Ferrachi intake Mistral crossovers and Mistral carbon fiber mufflers 11:1 Ferrachi pistons Technic fabric saddle bags(expandable from 30 to 40 liters) PM me or email helicopterjim hotmail.com or Contact Bruce at (604)858-9858 or (604)793-5357 (cell)
  12. How sweet it is!! I am glad to see Alex Hoffman performing so well too. Barros and Capirossi - what a lot of experience there! Casey and Alex are teamed well!
  13. Brilliant. One guy suspected but didn't want to believe. They are so shallow - not like us bikers!!
  14. Getting pretty warm here but I can't say more without giving strong clues. I also apologise for the poor quality caricature of the bike. The only real photoi can find is of even poorer quality.
  15. Something must be working for us because I looked on the link Dave posted and checked one of them to see what Helen has been doing on other forums and I found the same post as here but it had a link in it to who knows what. Maybe she likes us ... Here is her profile. 16. Well I can't say that anyone has the right answer yet especially Mr. Forrest's answer. He must have missed the clue in one of the other quizzes.
  17. My favourite also. I shall strike it of the list of quiz making material but keep it for quiz solving. My favourite Guzzi racer is the 500cc Bicylindrica but unfortunately the oldest Guzzi racer I have seen in the flesh is from the 70's. Hope to have a good quiz for you soon! Jim

  19. For the record, my thoughts on forming an official club are rather negative as I don't really feel we need one. All the trappings that come with it such as presidents, treasurers, treasuries, liability insurance and so on are not my cup of tea. I will not stand in the way of anyone wanting to form a club either. I will support a club but only as a rider and a supplier of ideas. On that note I do hope we can gather a crowd for a good late spring ride. Cheers. Jim
  20. Well. Is that a real person talking? Maybe there really is a place called google!! Somewhere over the rainbow .... There doesn't even seem to be any hidden links in this one. What gives? Maybe she really does need to be "wanted". I suppose someone will oblige her by moving it. Any guesses where?
  21. Gallinella (hen in Italian) was meant to compliment the Galletto (cockerel) and to provide an alternative to both scooters and motorcycles being in between the two with larger wheels than a scooter and a smaller motor than a motorcycle. If only Serge were still around to provide us with more insight.
  22. After yesterdays hat trick by Guzzirider I could use one to bring back my self esteem!! It's either that or I progress to quiz topics involving this beast!
  23. Name, model, year. No abbreviations.
  24. When will someone put a supercharger on a Griso? To me it is just begging to be blown (a very manly trait - as the Griso is a very manly bike!!).
