  1. How about this .... the wheel is turning clockwise when looking from the right hand side. Therefore the housing is trying to rotate in the opposite direction (counter-clockwise) to impart a clockwise rotation upon the wheel so the reaction rod would be enduring an extension force in order to hold it steady. Braking forces would then be imparting a compression force upon the reaction rod. You can sleep soundly tonight knowing you are not stretching your reaction rod every time you operate the rear brake.
  2. Hmmmmmm ..... maybe you had best not trade pictures of your girlfriend ....
  3. I sense a thread coming up called "Let's Hear Your Guzzi !!" ..........
  4. Did you look at the M-Unit Roy? I was curious to hear what you think of its capabilities.
  5. I was more interested in their http://motogadget.com/en/electrics/electronic-control-box-m-unit/m-unit/m-unit-digit-tastersteuerung-u-sicherung.html It looks like it would be a nice set-up for a custom bike project (maybe my Centauro back-burner project).
  6. Looks like Jaap can have that extra Grolsch this weekend!!
  7. I'm in .....!!
  8. Has anyone any experience with Motogadget guages and electrics? I have been going through the website and they have a lot of interesting stuff to upgrade gauges and electrics!! http://motogadget.com/en/ I think Kiwi Roy would find it very interesting.
  9. The stop drilling is for plastic ....
  10. A Tonti frame or a replica Tonti frame. It could be unique to this bike.
  11. Just curious as to why there are suggestions of using fiberglass on a plastic fairing? Perhaps I am mistaken about the composition of the fairing. It looks like plastic. If it is not plastic then please disregard my suggestions.
  12. Unfortunately a proper repair would first involve stop drilling the crack with a 3/32 drill just at the tip of the crack - otherwise it may just keep on going. Then buy a plastic weld kit and if you have a dremel then route out a slight channel along the crack - both sides are best - and fill the crack with plastic weld. Then you can sand and paint. Plastic weld usually ends up being stronger than the original plastic so you may find it cracks somewhere else if you can't find where the stress came from causing the first crack. If you don't want to take the time to fix it completely now then I strongly suggest you at least stop drill the crack or it will get bigger. You can maybe fill the drill hole and cover with a green pen for temporary relief. It will mean shooting your Eagle ...
  13. My credit card fits in my pocket .... that's the only way I know how to travel.
  14. Retro LeMans 1450 by Radical Guzzi ...... if this is the new LeMans then sign me up!!!!!!! http://racingcafe.blogspot.it/2014/04/moto-guzzi-retro-le-mans-1450-by.html
  15. No .... Brombo ...... really! Make sure that nothing with paint is under the master cylinder .... I've heard they tend to puke out all the fluid overnight. One local racer got refused entry to the track by tech inspection. They saw the cheap M/C and punted him back to the pits.
  16. Are you trying to sell something?
  17. Ducati is going to build a diesel motor. Check out this limk - Diesel Multistrada I reckon we can expect a Hybrid Stelvio soon!
  18. The MGS-01 has asymmetrical headers but the Dr John is equal length.
  19. Notice that if you go 2 to 1 then you need considerable volume to exit the gases. The MGS-01 comes with a 2 to 1 but Guareschi Moto found that there is a lot more horsepower to be had going 2 to 1 to 2. I can see from the dyno charts that it does suffer at the high rpm's.
  20. Suggesting we should leave our bikes alone and live with all the deficiencies?
  21. Here you go .... pop the cab off for summer use and back on for the rainy season!
