A friend went similar route ... free flow exhaust and ditched the carbs for some conventional carbs. He had a few weeks of tuning nightmares but then found an old school tuner (as was suggested to him at the start by myself and others ....) and suddenly he had a bike that woke right up and was fun to ride!! Before the mods it wasn't much of a match for the V11 but now it is as responsive and holds its own on the open road. in the corners ......? .... not so much.
Slightly off topic .... but here is a nice article about the gentlemen who put a Convert motor back into a Fiat 600 ... and raced it ...!!

I put my Bub pipes on today so I could polish the old set! There's not much to them but other than being too loud they are the best sounding pipes I've heard in a long time! Sent from FRED (Fricking Ridiculous Electronic Device)
Good thing I'm not having a beer as I read this .... otherwise I'd be mopping up the keyboard!
I have had Brooklyn Breweries Imperial Dark Chocolate Stout ..... quite a nice beer but at 10% it's not a session beer!
Pictures might help ...... with something to indicate dimensions. You could possibly get some pieces from a stock pipe but the can is long on them and the section leading into the can is shorter than most aftermarket systems.
Good luck ...!!
Yeah ... I know what you mean about that fellow. He didn't know a lot about the bike but was very eager to talk about it ...
Hope to meet you someday!!
I hate powder coat when there is a chance of stone chips. I'll have to check for the name but there is a paint meant for car frames that is very, very durable!
