I think Antonio has great taste in clothes and bikes! Cheers!!

There have been a lot of sexy bikes come from Italy. Which bike do you think is the sexiest? Feel free to add photo's and try to limit your suggestions to one or two bikes. In a week or so I'll go through the list and then we'll have a poll to see which one is the sexiest of them all!

Do you think Vale, Marco , Dani, Loris and all the other 250 stars are happy with the new rules? I dont know if the non 250 challengers will like the new setup but then it isn't always the most popular rider who wins. Fastest has a bit to do with it as well. PS Where's Max when you need him?

Eh! For all it's worth i just watched some video from the MotGP.com website and it showed the honda and Ducati 800cc MotoGP bikes for next year. the biggest thing i could see about the Honda was that it seems to be designed physically (on the outside) like a 250 GP bike. Does this mean they want Cani pedrosa as their premier rider and does this mean they are deliberately trying to torpedo Nicky? If you want to learn more then just look here.

How to go from hero to zero in 3 dyno runs

Just to relieve the tension my V11 has never had the oil light flicker or illuminate as I performed any one of the many wheelies my bike likes to do but I am truly considering 3 "sloppage trays" for my V10. V11 and V12. I think the MGS is the one I most wish to protect! -
Mention this at Valley Moto Guzzi in Chilliwack and I doubt they will say nonsense!!

Time I got a stumper*

The seat and fairing look to be 1980's as do the silencers on the exhaust but I can see that the engine is air-cooled and the brakes are drum type - both of wich are not typical of the 80's. Are you sure this is original as built by the manufacturer or has it been updated over the years with more modern bodywork? -
I know exactly what you mean! I went for a ride yesterday morn on my Centauro as I actually had a day off flying (most of a day). I was grinning like crazy! I don't know if mine has a Will Creedon chip or what but the top end rush blows the doors off my V11. I was out riding with the aircraft engineer for my helicopter. He was riding his Victory Vegas. He ate me on roll-ons but when the Centauro got the steam up he was only a blur in the mirrors. We stopped at Dukes Pub just east of Chilliwack by hwy 1 and had a bite for lunch. There were about 45 Harleys parked there and it was interesting how they made fun of the Victory (I like it - it has Brembo brakes) but no one said anything bad about the Centauro. When we left I just had to give them a taste of the Centauro hitting 9000 rpm (indicated) with the la Franconi pipes making all the Harley riders think some nascar piece of junk had just roared by. I really grinned a lot yesterday! PS What kind of bar kit is that and how much did it cost? I have V11 pegs on my Centauro so the stock bars fit just right but if I put the forward controls on I would probably want the pullback of the bars you have installed.

it must have been very exciting for you to see 4 Italians in the top 3 positions!!!

Your initial post contains only a picture of the bike but asks no questions. The title specifies "model only". I take this to mean that manufacturer, capacity or any other such stuff does not apply to getting the correct answer for this quiz. Only the model will suffice as I see it. Is it the road racing model? -
There seems to be a forum in Germany but I don't know if it will help you much. Try here. There is also a website. Try here.

My online translator says this but I I don't think it will help you John!! I am a little confused with "it has added then the Faustus" and a little concerned with "They work on the costs of the pilots and therefore drug the market". Most all pilots I know are drunks but they don't want to have anything to do with drugs except shipping them over the border by helicopter but we all thought this was a secret. Now it looks like someone in Italy is onto us!! Maybe it is this Faustus!! Cheers Jim PS I watched the qualifying and it was almost as exciting as a race. Loris finally put down a superb lap on qualifiers (Bridgestone qualifiers have been a little shy of Michelins edge at qualifying) but the best part is Loris and Sete both put down lots of fast, consistent laps on race tires that have got Rossi, Hayden and the rest of the Michelin crowd a little worried.

Yup! That's what I meant! It seems to work on my MGS! It handles very well!

How to go from hero to zero in 3 dyno runs
helicopterjim R.I.P. replied to a topic in Technical Topics
This would not apply on the dyno as the bike itself does not accelerate. I have had Guzzi's on the dyno a few times and no ill effects. -
Put it back in your bung! Now!! I don't ever want to see it again!! It's not normal!! .... unless it's your exhaust pipe. Then it's not too far from normal. Relax ... then the bung will go in easily .... I hope.

I don,t know what size your rear wheel is but you have already answered the critical part of the question. If you have the 5.5 inch wide wheel then you will notice a big improvement switching to a 170. If you have the 4.5 inch rear wheel then you had best go to a 160 if you want the bike more 'flickable' as the 180 on that rim will make it steer like a tractor (ask friskycutter). The next step is to spend several thousands to change the frame geometry and lenghten the swingarm and reduce the weight by 80 pounds. That should make it slightly more flickable!

If you can find a tinsmith or old fashioned machinist who does proper silver soldering you will be just fine. If the surface is prepped right it will never leak or come loose. You will still need to purge the tank of fumes but that is easily done with the exhaust pipe of your V11.

Check the brushes in the magneto. Bill may have lost them going around one of those 'sweepers'! -

Whisky
helicopterjim R.I.P. replied to macguzzi's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
I don't know if Bob Marley liked whisky but it seems his band may have had a penchant for it, albeit in a rather blasphemous fashion!!
