  1. If he sends me a set I'll try them out for him. I did not know he has cams available. What information do you have?
  2. Yup!! After she bought a bar and became an alcoholic, gravity took hold on those lovelies and brought them down to earth. A sad, sad thing it was indeed!!
  3. Heli-Hooters!! She was a sporting girl!!
  4. I'll let him know. Here's the closeup!
  5. Spend 6 monthes in Oz and 6 monthes up here. I see no other solution.
  6. Nasty. I hope it is just an extremely well done safety video but unfortunately this type of accident happens. I do have one of the best helicopter/hooter pictures that I must scan and post here. I'll wait until my wife goes to work.
  7. The numbers are meaningless to compare unless done on the same dyno. The shape of your curves are looking great though. Long flat torque curve and steadily climbing hp curve. I think your bike looks to be well sorted at first glance!
  8. Yesterday a few of us got the idea to ride the Duffy Lake road today. Well, ride we did! Four of us (friskycutter, Cory, Vivian and I) left Chilliwack at 0600 and headed to North Vancouver to meet Bill (on his Ducati). I rode my Ducati as well but the other 3 were on Guzzi's. Lots of traffic and lots of 20km/hr before we got through Vancouver. Weather was a little cool but to be expected early in the morning. Van to Squamish was OK for traffic but lots of construction. Squamish to Whistler was no better and frisky had a little drama when a road grader chucked a rock out in front of him and it caught his front tire then came up and broke off his side stand - broken casting! Past Whistler the traffic was very light and the weather was good but still a little cool. When we got past Mt Currie there was actually more traffic - lots of Alberta licence plates and quite a few motorhomes. No real challenge though and the first set of switchbacks were consumed and enjoyed immensely!! The weather was getting warmer and the scenery was great! I have to say that the pavement on the first half past Mt Currie was - well, ummmh - more intact than I have ever seen it. Lots of dips, bumps, cracks (sealed) and everything else you could ever want to test your suspension but there were no open potholes or stretches of crumbling pavement. There were no corners with loose gravel nor was any to be found on the straightaways!! I have to say it was the most enjoyable ride I have ever had on this road!!! The weather warmed up considerably by the time we got to Lillooet and it stayed warm all the way to Lytton and down the canyon to Hope where it quite suddenly turned cool again. No matter as we were in Revenue Collecting Motorised Patrol country (RCMP). We were fortunate in not having any encounters with them at all!! Frisky had to get creative in finding ways to keep his bike upright when we stopped without scratching the paint on his bike (no sidestand!!). I wonder if he deserves a bodge point for this one? We stopped in Hope on the way back just as one of the helicopters I fly was coming in to land. We decided to go for the group foto of the wop bikes beside the machine with the biggest wops!! We all came to the consensus that next time we will start from Chilliwack and go east and up the Fraser canyon then start the Duffy Lake road at Lillooet and ride to Mt Currie then turn around and ride back. Enough of the Vancouver traffic and Sea to Sky construction!! Perhaps we'll mix in the road from Spences Bridge to Merritt and then on to Princeton and then back to Hope. All in all it was a good day!!
  9. Are you mad because you dropped your bike?
  10. Maybe that's what the guy in the Wall vs Bike video was experiencing. Presumably he thought she was also a nurse ....
  11. Watch this video and then provide the caption for what the guy on the bike was thinking!! Wall vs Bike P.S. The hot chick/hot car video is worth watching too but if you provide captions for that Jaap will be working overtime censoring!!
  12. Marco is right. The best is to deal directly and the shipping time is quite fast! P.S. Welcome to the forum Marco!!
  13. I believe it is a 'de-stroker' motor!
  14. The weather looks fantastic at the IoM!! Better than here in BC.
  15. So that's where the expression "she's two axe handles and a plug of chewing tobacco wide at the beam" comes from!!
  16. I am not in favour of stainless steel because they do not have the tensile strength of plain steel and are a real b$^^@r to drill out. If you use stainless be very careful with your torques!! I use regular steel hardware but I clean them with brake cleaner and then spray them with clearcoat paint. They look super with a bit of a sheen to them and they don't corrode. Perhaps if they corrode someday I'll simply replace them (they are cheap).
  17. Time to start emailing MG in Italy.
  18. Here is a link to a series of Piaggio scooter calendar girls. vespa club des savoie Ignore the ones with John Wayne and Gary Cooper!!
  19. ... or I could put a sidecar on my Sloper. No. That would not work. She would make me the monkey!!
  20. A friend of mine went through yesterday on a brand new GS 1200. He said there was one to two feet of snow in a few places but spotty and nothing to hold you back. He had a great trip and loves his 33 litre tank!!
  21. Talked to Gord today. It seems all Guzzi dealers are now Aprilia dealers. They just don't know for sure if they are either. Also Gord says they can not get the Aprilia dirtbikes (ie 450V twins) which they could market very well here. Only street bikes for the new importers!!
  22. Note to Canadian customers. Parts Canada has no more 160's but Full Bore has 2 left!! Lots of 170's and 180's for those with the wider rims!! Don't know about 190's. The application asked where did you find out about this deal. I responded with V11lemans.com forum.
  23. Myself and friskycutter did the deal for the free front tire today. Number 68 and 67 gone! I don't know if I'll use them on the Centauro or V11. Maybe I'll sell them for full price to the idiot with the old ZX6 who is whinging about tire prices. He is such an idiot!
  24. Bugger! I'll be away for my Mom's 80th birthday. Think she'll mind if I have a change of plans?
