  1. If you don't get the PCIII map with it I'll send you mine. You'll need it to start dyno testing. It is significantly different than other maps.
  2. I think it is a Gori-Bimm Regolarita 50 (subtle difference).
  3. Almost forgot!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to this thread! Thanks BFG. Jim
  4. It is 12:57 am and the MotoGP boys hit the track in 3 minutes. This is going to be great!
  5. As I mentioned earlier you won't notice this when riding! Enjoy the ride! Jim
  6. No!!! Here is a photo of "my little friend" just for you and Ryan!!
  7. I did wheelies!!!!
  8. It was sunny this morning then a high thin overcast this afternoon and up to 18 degrees C. I got in a one hour ride locally and even a few wheelies. Lots of fun!!
  9. I believe it will be about 1500 to 1600 depending on extra's but my price was a little lower due to a group rate.
  10. I guess i lose a point here. My initial information labels it as a Gerosa with a Minarelli engine. Now I search more and find that initially Gerosa made their own engines, then mid 60's switched to Minarelli engines then for the last 2 years of production they used Zundapp engines. This model being a 1974 and 1975 being their last year od production - well, it is a Gerosa Zundapp. I guess I owe a point to grossohc for misleading him and the quiz point goes to Ryan. Sorry guys.
  11. I met him down in Australia when he brought one of the Honda 6's out for its first run. It was at Eastern Creek and he had Jim Redman to ride it. What a noise it made. I believe his deal with Honda was he was given an engine to work with plus a chassis to copy. He could make six copies and one was to be given to Honda. There were problems with the crankcase pressurising and blowing oil but the couple of laps it made were worth the whole weekend (that and unwittingly meeting Pete Roper - although he probably doesn't remember as he was trying to stuff parts back into a hole in a Guzzi racebike). I'll try and get some pictures up later.
  12. The distributor asks that you take their measurement chart and be measured by a regular tailor. Their computer program will adapt those measurements to the sitting position as on a motorcycle . I was a little leery but when I first tried them on the fit was incredible. When I ride my bike with them i don't feel any binding or discomfort. They truly fit like a glove and it is so easy to move around on the bike. They are a little uncomfortable standing straight up but I don't plan to wear them to the Governors Ball!!
  13. My PSI leathers. Logo closeup. Back. Armour over padding for wrists, elbows ... .... and shoulders. Contrasting lower legs (the in thing!)
  14. You are in the wrong limousine!!
  15. I had some good pinking on my bike once but my wife won't let me take those kind of girls for a ride anymore!!
  16. if you are going to wheely a Guzzi try and start the wheely leaning just a little to the left as it will tend to roll gently to the right. Once you get used to it it will be no problem. Seriously you will only notice the engine torque reaction at rest when you 'blip' the throttle. Once you are rolling you will not notice the tq reaction or the shaft drive at all. The shaft drive will have little effect except for rear braking and that is negligible. You may notice the driveline 'snatch' is more noticeable as well but that is normal Guzzi!
  17. Two sentiments I highly agree with. I have started wearing a spine protector for most riding now. I have two. One actually can be worn outside a light jacket but I prefer it inside but over my shirt. The other is a raceing version with better lateral play that I use under my leathers.
  18. They are a Czech company. I don't know who deals them in America. Try their website. PSI I'll try to get a photo of mine tomorrow.
  19. This is Bill Doll's bike and I like it!!
  20. I just got a custom set from PSI and they are so well made and nice fitting. I am astounded at the quality. They even did the Guzzi logo across the front and you can hardly tell where the zipper cuts through the logo. I'll try and get some photo's. They are very breathable as well.
  21. I have them. They are adjustable although a bit limited. They will shorten or lengthen the distance from brake lever to footrest (same for shifter) and they will lower the pegs about 3/4 of an inch. (or raise them the same). The tip of the shifter and brake lever are also slightly adjustable as well. I like them best for the way the bike shifts. Much more positive with almost never a false neutral. I also prefer solid pegs for tipovers and crashes but many do not agree.
  22. There you go. Find an old Norton or Triumph and some baling wire and off you go!
