  1. It is not a Laverda but since I promised clues the first clue is you are onto the right country.
  2. I think anyone who wants to do it should be automatically disqualified!! ..... and that should go for politics too!
  3. Have the Shriners been notified? Three of their bikes are missing!!
  4. I am surprised that martin and Guy havn't shown much presence here. Maybe their glut of quiz points has kept them satiated.
  5. No. You will have to wait until tomorrow.
  6. No lap times yet but I'm still looking. I did find this. Nice to see the factory acknowledge racing!! They seem to have remembered "Race on Sunday, Sell on Monday"! It is also interesting that they still advertise the MGS for sale. The local shop has been told that anyone can still order one from the factory if they don't mind a few monthes wait!!
  7. That is an insane course!! I have driven a car oround the MW 200 and that was nothing much compared to this. I expect the fellow who puts supermotard suspension on his GSXR will be the king!! Some of the yard fences looked like armco and then there were the concrete walls at the end of a straight with a sharp 1st gear left. Even big balls wouldn't help there. I half expected it to cut through the yard of Sean O'Toole's byre and have the finish line by a cemetary. I wish we could put together a raod course here. The Rider lLake area has a great test track I use often but the mentality of people around would never allow it. I'll be cross posting this on the local sportbike forum for the guys who complain our local track is too tight and bumpy.
  8. As per post in the other tappet thread, I'll ask big Gord.
  9. Chris. I'll be seeing big Gord this afternoon. I'll ask him what he thinks of the symptoms.
  10. No times four again. Hints coming tomorrow!!
  11. No times four. I'll give them another day and then drop a couple of hints, Jaap!!
  12. I'll give it a try. Jim WG thread (no pics yet).
  13. Because they usually talk to me like this!! Problem: "Left inside main tire almost needs replacement." Solution: "Almost replaced left inside main tire." Problem: "Test flight OK, except autoland very rough." Solution: "Autoland not installed on this aircraft." Problem #1: "#2 Propeller seeping fluid." Solution #1: "#2 Propeller seepage normal." Problem #2: "#1, #3, and #4 propellers lack normal seepage." Solution #2 "Seepage added." Problem: "Something loose in cockpit." Solution: "Something tightened in cockpit." Problem: "Evidence of hydraulic leak on right main landing gear." Solution: "Evidence removed." Problem: "DME volume unbelievably loud." Solution: "Volume set to more believable level." Problem: "Dead bugs on windshield." Solution: "Live bugs on order." Problem: "Autopilot in altitude hold mode produces a 200 fpm descent." Solution: "Cannot reproduce problem on ground." Problem: "IFF inoperative." Solution: "IFF inoperative in OFF mode." Problem: "Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick." Solution: "That's what they're there for." Problem: "Number three engine missing." Solution: "Engine found on right wing after brief search."
  14. That is so cute!!
  15. Test flights completed!! Flux valve needs to be adjusted 6 degrees to negative and charging voltage needs to be increased by 1.2 volts. Power check is +1.5% for the gas producer and +35 degrees for the EGT. Beer foamed up about 1.3 inches at Mikes and Natalies breasts verified the vibration checks (darn - I like it when they verify the vibration is too high). Protests are flying about at Daytona and results are termed provisional as the AMA seems to have screwed up big time with the pace car. Buell not a factor .... Now it is time to go to the Guzzi shop. My day will soon be complete!!
  16. The vibration checks are all completed for the 214 now but the auto revs still need adjusting. We also installed a new flux valve (there really is a flux valve) and that checks out so far but next is a visit to the compass rose. Then its collective in the armpit at ought feet to make the windows shake and the beer foam at Friendly Mikes Pub next to the hangar!!
