  1. Hello Belfast! Nice to hear from you. Best wishes! Jim
  2. This isn't the polemic I was expecting .....
  3. Breaking news!! Ben gets role in television commercial!!!! See Ben here (in white sweater) as he performs for the television world!! Ben on TV
  4. There seems to be a distant roar and it is getting louder. Could it be that the vision I had of a great polemic is becoming nearer to reality? I shall festoon myself with accoutrements and prepare for battle!
  5. I sense another polemic cometh our way!
  6. I think I saw a variation of that one that said "Nuke the Gay Unborn Baby Whales!"" I used to have one that said "USE THE CRUISE!!
  7. My Centauro has the air sensor mounted on the steering head just behind the headlamp so that it gets fresh air but is not in the way of anything. They are quite fragile so make sure wherever you put it that it gets fresh air and can not be knocked about easily.
  8. HEY!!! Myself and the ground crew met him last weekend way up here in Canada!! He was in Prince George (which is north even if you are a Canadian) for a publicity stunt at a car dealership but we happened to be in a club the night before doing a corrosion check on a vertical brass pole when Butterbean shows up to help us with the inspection. He was having a lot of fun and so were we. We started telling Canadian redneck stories and we almost had him coming out with us the next day to try heli-logging but when he found out that we were joking about it "mostly bein' whisky drinkin' an story tellin' " he decided the car dealership was the place to be. He seemed like a down to earth guy though even if we couldn't get him to punch the dumb guy on our crew (I tried to tell him it would be just like clubbing seals and he said "Clubbing? I like clubbing!!" .. and then asked for directions to the nearest nightclub.).
  9. Sorry you feel that way. Some seem to think of TX as stimulating a topic, some seem to think of him as provoking a topic.
  10. STEVE!!! Where's that picture of the yellow Guzzi chopper in Vancouver?
  11. Wow. Appreciate that very much. That is a great link. I'm still away from home so i have some time to build up my data before I deal with ICBC. Funny thing is I just got that extra roadstar for the first time and so far they have been extremely helpful. They have said I can rent a car no charge until I get another vehicle and so on. I do have all the receipts from the day I bought the truck so that is more ammo. I have a line on another truck already from a friend at an impound lot. I might have a deal to upgrade about 3 years and with a diesel for almost no extra money. We'll see how I make out with ICBC. Thanks Van Jim
  12. If they do it will be interesting to see what the bore and stroke will be. The race bike has a bore bigger than the stroke which is the exact opposite of almost any Harley and Buell. Yamaha is threatening to bring out the M6 - a 600 with more borrowed from the M1 than the R6. Rumours of USD 100,000 brings back memories of the R7.
  13. You are the only real celebrity in my book Pete!! Well, you and TX!!
  14. ANTONIO!! Someones calling you!!
  15. I spoke a gentleman at the Piaggio booth at the bike show and he told me that Piaggio will be based out of Toronto with a separate warehouse for Aprilia, Guzzi and scooters (although all connected). They want to have a strong parts supply and to have a system whereby even a Piaggio/Vespa/Aprilia dealer will have access to Guzzi parts and vice versa. It all sounds great if it works. I have his business card (he's a vice president) so I'll be hounding him to keep his word. I'm going to send him a link to this forum so he can see how we see things. Hope that Jota/Guzzi guy comes west so we can check out his bikes!!
  16. I wish Ryan had submitted that photo for the calendar. Maybe next year ....? Maybe Bike of the Month ...?
  17. A race between a motorcycle, a sports car, and a fighter jet. Why not? It's a Race!
  18. I like the Swedish women's curling team. They even have their own heavy medal video!! Hearts on Fire
  19. Thanks Ryan. I think TX needed that!
  20. I can't get it to work for me as I am away from home and on a very slow internet connection. However it seems to me, by your comments, that this is similar to the Virtual Bartender. For this one I suggest you start out with asking for beer, kiss, pillow fight, etc.
  21. I like the Spartaco very much and I think it is a very complete package but it is too true cruiser for me. I would like to build a Guzzi like this one pictured below. It was photographed at the Boxmeer event sometime ago but I don't know any other details. To me it is more 'in your face' aggressive whilst still remaining a Guzzi and nothing but a Guzzi! It looks like it would be even more fun with a supercharger!!
  22. If you havn't already found out there is a new Guzzi dealer in Calgary. Revoluzione, the Ducati and Aprilia dealer is now a Guzzi dealer as well. I can not say how much better they will be but when I spoke to them at the Vancouver bike show they were very enthusiastic about Guzzi's. Wait until Steve G see that you have a Jota.
  23. MS13? I wanted to go but I wasn't invited!! 24. A seal hunt by modern definitions is meant to be a sustainable harvest of a renewable resource. The objective of a sustainable harvest is to maintain a relatively large and constant population size while killing a set number of animals each year.
  25. It happened between Abbotsford and Chilliwack. Talking to a few people they say ICBC will start off by looking in Buy and Sell and then offering me the lowest price they find. I have been advised to research sales in Buy and Sell and a few dealerships to counter with the best prices I can find. It was a 1998 Ford F250 with 185,000 km so the mileage is high but I bought it new and can show all the options and accessories so I think I might have to work at this one a bit. I'll let you know how it works out. Since you mention replacement insurance I asked an agent a couple of years ago why they ask for a declared value when insuring a bike. She said that if the bike is stolen they will either find a similar bike and buy it for you ar give you declared value - whichever is cheaper. I asked her who decides if a replacement bike is truly equal and she said that that would have to be negotiated with ICBC. It sounds like it will never be easy but ever since I have figured on valueing my Guzzi a bit high because they are not going to find a replacement very easily. I only hope what she said is true.
