I would go along with that.... Open air box + works cross over & Titaniums pulls hard from low revs, sounds mellow & gets a harder edge 5000 upwards. Sounds impressive! Nige,

A damn shame..... I won't forget seeing that wildcard ride he had waaaayy back..... Long hair flowing and bike pressed beyond its limits... 'Committed' didn't cover it...... Condolences to family & friends. Nige.

This is my take on the sorry business! http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11893 Nige.

To my mind that just sounds & performs like he took the cans off. Sounds flat rather than crisp and doesn't seem to pull. More work needed! Nige.

Bezel Diameter is 70mm TBH It is neat enough to to mount in place of the entire instrument binnacle It is well finished & comes with a pre installed mounting bracket. It has the tacho function & all the idiot lights included, ( dependant on model ) Nige.
-
Yep...... Only those hold my attention more effectively! Nige.
-
Yep.....I see you are paying attention! It is a really neat little device. Gotta plan a neat mounting & surround to suit. Nige. Costs? Well, depends on model & whether you get lucky on ebay! IIRC list is from about £65 to £150 odd. Not cheap but good quality & plenty of functions. Nige.

I have tried it every way I can conceive of......Cable itself not an issue...Pristine... Even a new angle drive unit wired together..... Still didn't work above 5 miles Gave up in disgust at such pansy-assed under-engineering!! Bought one of these...... A really neat little thing it is! http://www.acewell-meter.com/c0_1.php?bid=11&pid=3 I doubt I am going to get around to fitting it for a while..... House renovations still priority I'll update when I have tried it..... Nige.

The V10 10 spring unit I have fitted is a belter of a unit...Highly recommended. As regards alignment...I used a spare clutch centre. Nige.

Looks like we got a 3/4 size fugly can...... Twice!! The rest of it looks pretty cool though.... I agree it would be sharper with a black frame. Nige.

Beauty is always a personal thing....... I think it looks stunning..... I wouldn't term it beautiful per se, but certainly characterful & purposeful. Nige. -
Keep it clean & polished by all means, but I don't think lacquer is a good idea TBH. Firstly, you may get a reaction with the carbon & secondly at working temperatures most lacquers would probably crack, if not from the upper temperature then as is cools to ambient. A few cycles like that would probably see it crazing. Nige.

OK I have had the exploding angle drive scenario and replaced with a new unit. The blasted speedo still bounces like Sam Fox's jugs used to and then quits in short order. Re-assemble & repeat every 5miles.... Getting seriously POed with it.... Has anyone tried anything like this? http://www.trailtechproducts.co.uk/store/erol.html Nige.

Nice though it is...It is a bit of a charlatan...... It apes the graphics of the earlier generation...... The real deal is the V7S or 750-S3 Nige. ...and talking of charlatans! Here is my Scura too!
-
I don't like to be a pariah, but...... Put a clutch replacement high on the priority list, if as likely, it is the original Scura unit. I replaced mine with a V10 ten spring twin plate... Barely perceptable loss of eagerness on acceleration........Acres more peace of mind! Nige.
-
Sounds good, Pete.... I am sure all Scuristi are interested to hear how well you get on & also of any mods you find effective! Nige.

Stealthissimo! I really like the look of that..... 916ish from the front view....but with more balls...On steroids! Nige. -
Perhaps it is not a leak? Your wheel may have a beauty spot! Nige.

If you want a fairing, why not just get a LeMans? That is the solution with least work involved. Personally, I didn't care for it though & made a 1980 LeMans 2 fairing fit. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...ost&id=6288 Nige.

As I have said before, it is not the fact that the unit fails in itself. All things mechanical have a finite life. The concern is the dramatic & catastrophic failure mode that is worth avoiding. Nige.

OOOOOooooh.... Shiny bits! The large component in the foreground looks particularly interesting. Milled from solid by the look? Nige. -
Difficult to tell you via this medium..... As far as I know though...... Spelt phonetically..... Jillaira How does that sound? Here is my old 'new' Saturno Nige.

Mine weren't when I did mine. They were barely nipped up Nige.

Pleased you have managed to redeem the situation! Nige.
