Hmmm..Perhaps that may be an option. I always prefer to see the things first though, if possible. Nige.

Very nice looking.... ....but a USA distributor won't do me much good on my little rock in the Irish Sea. Nige.

Thanks for the link, Tim. That puts a seal on it.... I think a set of Mistrals is in the sights! Nige.

Thanks for the 'heads up', Paul! I'll keep my eye on that. Nige.

No. (Besides, if you get in there, you'll just block it up solid and neither it nor you will breathe at all.) But seriously no – it's only a decorative end piece. You would have to cut your way in. With the carbon looky-likey sleeve, if you take the end off, it's a real pig to get back on into the sleeve because of the angle of the end pipe. Cheers for the info..... That sounds like the voice of experience........I'll not bother then! Nige

I saw screws on the back of the Lafranconi carbon cans on my Scura..... Does this mean I can get in there & let it breathe a little freer? Nige.

On a related topic.... What is the current thinking on MolySlip in the bevel box / transmission? Or even the old Slick50......Is that still available? Nige.

Yep..... It doesn't look like the part numbers are there at first.... Just click on a number! Nige.

Thanks to the 'Janet & John' walk-through. It Works.....WooHoo! Very much appreciate your time & patience, J. Yes, I do think it would be useful as part of the FAQ. Thanks again to all, especially to J. Regards, Nige.

Wow.... Right...That looks comprehensive enough..... I'll give it a whirl & let you know. Thanks very much for your trouble! Nige.

Thanks for that link...... but I'm afraid my Italian isn't really up to it either! At least it does look like a workshop manual though. Nige.

Thanks for the link but...... Nah...I downloaded it...Frigged around with it.... Can't get anything useful out of it.... Must need a Phd in websites, I suppose! Jaap's CD he sent me arrived smashed! Still struggling here! Any other flashes of inspiration or links, please? Nige.

My Scura seems well set up for me at 147lbs...I suspect the previous owner may have been of similar build. I don't know what the settings are but am loath to change them. In thirty years of riding I have never owned or ridden anything that comes close.....I started out being objective and was just blown away by it.....Secure, comfortable, compliant & precise.... Nige.

Hmmmn. Not the best of starts to ownership!

Hmmm, I have been hearing this only from people outside the USA. I had my dealer check parts numbers for the RM and the Scura....came up the same. A call into MGNA also showed the same part numbers for the clutch units on these bikes. This would indicate the same clutch for both units. Could someone have Agostini check the part numbers for these bikes? I suppose it may be possible that a part my be 'improved' but still keep the same part number? Nige. -

Well, I have faith that John's recommendations are going to minimise the problem anyway... I am just relieved that the bike isn't about to explode on me! Nige -
Yes, but they don't have to stop for traffic lights. Nige

Having done a couple of laps of the Island (about 160miles), I have to say that the suspension IS the finest I have ever had in 30 years of riding! I am reluctant now, to adjust anything in case I bugger it up! I think I will start with the seat mod. & see where that gets me. Thanks for all the feedback so far.... Nige.

Thanks for the re-assurance John... That all does make sense. What is your recommended SAE rating for the gear oil, please? Nige. -

Without a dB meter I would say..... Volume wise we are talking double that of a typical Ducati dry clutch. Nige. -

Sorry Al, I'm a bit confused by all that.... Mine is a 2002 Scura. It is quiet when the engine is cold. It rattles when engaged in neutral when it is warm. VERY LOUDLY..Like I said earlier like a heavy machine gun. You have to shout to make yourself heard over it. Surely that can't be right? What is the remedy? Nige. -

Well, I bought it from the dealer who supplied it new & serviced it. Like I say only 5,500miles. He is surprised by this & has offered to sort it out. It is OK when cold but gets noisier quite quickly. It works fine. By the time I had ridden the 30miles home, it was so noisy you had to shout over it to make yourself heard! When you mention flywheel problems...What exactly? Is it safe to keep using it? Nige. -

Aye,..... ..but it would have been nice to get it into my garage for the first time, without having to ring up for a warranty claim! Nige.
