OK, That didn't take to long. All I have left at this point is a clear windscreen. If others are interested, I will put together a list and order some more.I had hoped to get a better deal, but as Docc stated on his swingarm, shipping from the old country ain't cheap. I'll check back! andy

Sorry, that last post is not correct . The V11 Sport/ naked V11s have a different headlight. Still available #03740540 and yes you are within pennys on the price. The LeMans info is true ....It now uses the Breva headlamp andy
-
Unfortunatly, youo can't buy replacement parts for the headlight assembly, you have to replace the complete headlight unit. The 2nd unfortunate problem is that moto Guzzi, in its FINITE wisdom has superceded the old V11sport/ LeMans/etc...with the new headlight on the Breva. It might take a little bit of fiddling to fit properly. The part # is 01740567 which has been ssd to 32740510 about 200.00 andy

It could be a different drive gear on the main shaft andy

So what would ya'll (i just had to do that:D) say to some delrin bushishings for the reaction rod? Any ideas on the type of design? What I'm making is a delrin bushing,30mm dia to press fit into the old bushing hole. B - the bushing will be 32 mm in width which is the same as the steel insert in the stock bushing...C - a 10mm hole through the center for the mounting bolt. I don't think this will put any unusual load on the gearbox mounting...the other end just mounts to the frame... lemme know!!
-
Anyone had any problems with the Reaction Rod? This is the rod that bolts to the top of the rear dif and to the frame. I just took mine off and noticed that the bushings are shot!!! I thought I noticed some crude around the hole and it was rubber. I can press the steel insert all the way out with my finger. For some reason it looks like it has been heated. I cant imagine the rear dif transmitting enough heat to melt the bushings! Anyway, something you guys might want to keep on eye on. later.... Andy

The type of riding you do will have the biggest impact on fuel mileage. I just returned from an 850m run in one day.I ran at 5000 rpm or better the whole way and averaged 41mpg.I don't qoute speeds cause I know my speedo is of by 5mph at 40mph so who knows how far off it is in the upper ranges? My worst is 32 mpg on the back roads. Like Docc says, rowing the gearbox is music to my ears!!! andy

Anyone out have the factory setup procedure for the fuel injection for the late model LeMans? Values for the tps switch? Was hoping to be able to check it before I head out for about 2000miles! thanks

Glad you tried serviceing the Guzzi yourself.Lots of satisfaction in knowing the job was done and with the added bit of care an owner will provide but some dealers are lacking. A note of caution. I believe I read that you drained the rearend housing and then refilled to the top. If so, I think your going to have a very messy mess on your rear tire and the back of your Guzzi. The rear end will blow out all the oil it doesn't like till it reaches the almost proper level. Don't ask me how I know .....-)))

Only guessing here but most of the other electric controls are from Ducati. When I replaced the front main seal on my Le Mans, I noticed that the electrics behind and above the front engine cover have Ducati on them. I think the "big three" in Italy a in bed with each other-). I wonder what goes on behind closed doors?-))))

I seem to have developed an oil leak behind the cover on the front of the motor.Looks like a stator coil behind the cover. I would assume that there is a crankshaft seal behind it of some sort? How diffcult might this be to replace and what is involved? I always seem to get in trouble when I assume something, especially with motors....any guidence or help is always welcome! thanks

Nothing to do with tip over valves ...where in the vol state are you? I'm in Nashville. maybe we need to ride?
-
got it. The dipstick measures the same. Now to put a low and high mark on it. Many Thanks
-
I need a little help. I bought my 02 LeMans used. The PO installed the oil dipstick with the temp gage on it. There are no markings on it.Did the stock dipstick have graduations for high and low oil level, and if so, could someone tell me what they are. As measured from the bottom of the stick to the low mark and high mark.inches or mm's would be great! Thanks
-
I have the MG stand also. It works great on the right side of the bike. Won't work on the other side of my LeMans. Not enogh room for my hand and the handle to get by the cans ...stock or the Gianelles ( oops)

That is the headlight adjustment access hole. Don't know why they didn't make a plug for it.Probably add fifty bucks to list price to do it!! andy
-
Well that wasn"t the place. I think it had an english version so I'll keep looking! andy

While searching Guzzi links, I found a offset steering bearing kit for the V11 bikes. If any one happens across such a thing please send a post so I can find it again. Computer crashes and I lost the book marks. It was a European site for sure. Thanks andy

I searched through past posts and did not see anything on this. What kind of lube is anyone using for the driveshaft and hub splines. Thanks andy

Hi all. I'm trying to find out how important the piece of metal that shields the lamp in the headlight really is. As I tried to snug it up the plastic mounting boss cracked so I took it out. The plastic reflector seems to be coming off in a couple of spots. Does anyone make a metal reflector that will do the job? Any type of headlight conversions?lemme know thanks andy york (newbie) 02 Le Mans 85 FJ 1300R
