  1. You can mount that the any spine frame guzzi: daytona, centauro, sport 1100, v11. Don't need a 4v bike, but then you won't have the power. And for reading german, they have translation services on internet, http://translate.google.com
  2. The only thing they sell now, as kits do nothing with the frame, so you keep the v11 frame with its geometry. I suppose you can still buy all parts to build a supertwin, including frame, only to get it legal on the road is a problem now.
  3. Well its still here: http://www.qdexhaust.it/ex_box/Moto%20Guzzi/V11 They manufacture them
  4. The tank/tail set is easy to mount, and makes a v11 really different. Only every time I see his pricing... The complete bike as shown is to much bling. Could be the colors. He must have a lot of these paioli forks left over.
  5. well, the Tesla does well, and Clarckson should have learnt a bit more about electric cars before. The big plus from electric cars is, that a petrol car has about 30% fuel efficiency, where electric can go to 80%. That electric is still expensive and underdeveloped, is because the multinationals don't put money in it.
  6. gifts to the eu are free I think, but it can be that customs have a range from things they regard as a gift, and might open packages to see what it is. I've had packages they opened. If they think it's a fraud, it will cost $$
  7. this is the best option to get them, as exchange rate from UK is very nice: http://www.biketorqueracing.co.uk/chassis_...t_clip_ons.aspx But now I don't know if you send them back, what happens, I suppose best thing is to take the loss and pay customs. I suppose you have to pay vat and import tax. It's always a surprise when you order in the usa. So if it ain't extreme cheap, I don't do it anymore. But your Ohlins is in Thessaloniki!
  8. to clearify, only the forward extensions for the footpegs are needed, not the big aluminium plates that attach to the frame. All things centauro fit.
  9. I've seen a bench test, it has 117 hp at the rear wheel. I don't think there are to many buyers for it, for that price.
  10. well this is the first time I read that it wil be marketet through guzzi dealer network. That is untrue, or there are such numbers unsold grisos that they have to. But what about warranty? It is so much untested. I noticed a light used griso at Millepercento for 5000 euro, very cheap.
  11. In Italy the call 1151 cc an 1200. So needed for 1400 is only 1351, right? assuming the same stroke(81,2), 1351cc needs a bore of 102.95mm instead of the 95 it is now. That means that the cilinderwall needs to shrink 4mm. So I found this picture, is there 4mm left at the red arrow? Ok could me made different.
  12. the difference is easy, the external ones have a screwed on tank top arround the filler cap, the internal ones haven't that.
  13. I'm not shure what you realy want to know, but gearboxhousing from v10 and sport 1100i is the same. But the gear ratios aren't. gearbox from v11 is completly different, but would fit in a v10 too, if exchanged with swingarm and complete cardan and reardrive. See http://www.fastguzzi.nl/howto/6speed.htm
  14. So and why wouldn't it be a great bike for Helen?
  15. and stelvio is the best to drive, not looking
  16. It suits you Since I'm older then Jaap, I got one too.
  17. I was tempted, but in cafe racer style the traditional forks fit too. And if usd, only öhlins :-) The ohlins from aprilia fit right in, with triple clamps. Guzzi used Aprilia bearings in the steering head, so these forks fit. To start with I will keep the originals. The rest, time will tell.
  18. Well I got a 1200 sport, and have been doing some photoshopping. Only tank/seat is changed. But easyer with photoshop than in real life.
  19. Ralph, who is the first girl?
  20. Here one of the mysteries of western econonics, A product where something is added, is cheaper, than one without. Am I glad I don't eat animals.
  21. well if they do it, Piaggio can leave the usa. And all japanese and chineese have the market. Not only bikes but all scooters too I suppose.
  22. That sucks. But well from just dropping, even hard, the frame won't be damaged. But a good mechanic should spot all points of damage. And even if they are not so into gzzis, if they make a list, they can get prices with it. The brake pedal is the biggest problem, they seem not available from factory, but as long as there isn't a new one, get it welded.
  23. The guys from Topgear did a test: They drove a Prius arround the track as fast as it could, several rounds. And behind that was following at the same speed a bmw M3. The bmw used less gas. I suppose city/suburban trafic will make the most difference with a hybrid.
  24. I searched how to make manicotti. From what I read, it is the same as I make pancakes.
  25. dark places where you come? Nice try, but proportions are wrong. Tank is to long, and original seat/ mudgard doesn't look good either. this one still looks better, and imagine this in Lm1 style, red, with the small fairing, flat black exhausts in duc 900ss style, I think thy are called Conti pipes.
