well , it is a Norge without fairing. So touring should be its middle name.

it's not an easy question, what to do with the big 3. Let them die because they doen't fit they current carmarket, and they have been sleeping to long? The bad thing are the layoffs, but will putting extreme money in them, make it profitable companys again? Theire current program has big cars, people won't buy anymore in the numbers needed to survive. People aren't buying cars at all. Or at least so much less the whole car industry, is producing way to much. It's in europe too. Here they face the same problems on a (until now) smaller scale. But it can be we lag behind, and the big hit will follow here. Our local truck company, DAF, does sell maybe half from what they sold a year ago.

He must have short legs.

I think half of the German Autobahn lenght has speedlimits, 100, 120 or 130 kmh. And the debate if not all germany should have limits starts each time new politicians have the power. Unil now the carcompanys have blocked it. And for germans it's a bit like the freedom to wear guns. Freedom to drive as fast as your BMW/merc/ etc can take you.

Cafe racer headlight

traditionaly indicators should be mounted in the bolts that hold the headlight. -
I have Daytona nonstop GTX boots, are absolut watertight, comfortable, and very well made. For track use I have Sidi raceboots, not made for walking with all hardwere on them.

The v11 sport one? -
Ok thats showa, but it it worth to have new triple clamps with all things around that, new brake calipers. Only for a Showa?
-
Maybe I missed it, but there aren't öhlins forks for the hypermotard from ducati. The S version only has a ohlins rear.

When you took your clutch off, were the bolts that mounted it on the crank tight, or easy to loose? I have the idea that when they come a bit loose, it will go wrong. And what happens then, I know I had such a bike :-( -
and these duc items aren't cheap

Your le mans has 54 mm in the clamps, the aprilia has 53mm top, 56mm bottom. And it is 40mm shorter. So neede at least, new triple clamps, new handlebars. And in all cases a new mudgard. Because its so much shorther the bike will be more on it's nose. Other option is the ohlins like in the cafe sport/rossa corsa. And I do have one for sale :-) http://www.fastguzzi.nl/sale/ these just slip in, needed is a new axle and mudgard. The rest fits.

I see you rate the topic as meaningfull and respectfull. I didn't weigh each post, but reading accoss it I did see the old gun debate, and the rest looked to me like nothing new to the theme. And closing it, was to close it before it got out the lines. Not because of one special post.

well today it had to be done. first picture, its halfway out second picture, I wonder why they put in such a small bearing, instead of a sealed bigger one. third picture, to get it nice in, I heated the alu around it, and added an inner race from another bearing on the wheel spindle, the spindle makes it go straight in. And well, thats were the hammer was for. But wondering about how it comes that the grease doesn't stay there, I think the inner race doesn't need a hole. That only lets the grease out. When driving the reardrive gets hot, just like the bearing grease. Then that gets fluid, and the hole lets it out. So it have to look for a grease that does like heat.
-
thanks Pete, but I think this tool I got today at work should be able to do it. I do remember discussions, but it was some time ago so freshen things up a bit.
-
The inner ring from the right hand reardrive bearing wasn't looking so fresh. So I went to the shop and got the needle bearing, INA HK2516-2rs and the inner ring IR20x25x18 The last one is out of the INA catalog, but the chineese are helpfull, and make it. http://www.ikosh.net/gunzhen-zhoucheng/LRT...02518-3945.html The inner ring is the expensive part, so German parts are cheaper then Chineese. :-) On the right the old inner ring. The new one doesn't have a hole, so the grease stays maybe a bit more where it should. Next is the task to get the old one out, hopefully without taking the whole thing in pieces. To be continued

http://press.motoguzzi.it/press.asp?idpadre=0 and in the press anouncement for the eicma, the 850 norge still is there: http://press.motoguzzi.it/press/file/EICMA...S%20-%20ITA.pdf It looks that the griso or breva 850 are gone if you read this, but wait, at the press part there is 09 griso: http://press.motoguzzi.it/press.asp?idpadre=387 there the 850, 1100, and 8v are all. and the breva 850 is still there: http://press.motoguzzi.it/press.asp?idpadre=383 So it looks, the 850 are still there if you want one. Even if it's not in the pricelist you can buy them because they have enough left.
-
I've seen them still in some documents.
-
still some mgs01 in shops left, and I thaink they build some 100, not so little, compared to the daytona RS what was a regular road bike and only was made 300x.
-
the one at the museum has non standard forks, but that is how they maybe planned to sell it, that was to expensive and ordered golden tubes in the marzocchi. But for the ones who want the real thing, I do have a pair of these for sale.
-
So election is over. And the topic isn't about it anymore, so I close it.
-
well for me, if I bought a new one, and they asked what wheels, wouldn't want the wire wheels, they belong to classic looking bikes, not the griso's masculine look.
-
But the Stelvio TT is nothing else then the Stelvio with full options. Only the rear rim is new, but that could be solved otherwise. Nice to see how easy that same model can draw new attention with other color and some bits.

the most safe bet is a clutch from a normal v11, with 2 plates. -
