  1. Dave, At the leverl it is now, is all the oil under it? or how much goes under it?
  2. ordering new Marvic wheels may take some time: http://www3.varesenews.it/varese/articolo.php?id=98899
  3. well these were the parts, so I could take them to the shop to get the right banjos. mounted it looks like this:
  4. Thats the second one this weekend, the other was a german guy from another forum I visit often. I have exchanged few mails with him, he was very passionate about what he was doing, don't now what to say more now. My condolences to his friends and relatives.
  5. I don't know the sidestand problem. I have a v11 sidestand on my bike. With V sump. Yes it only mounts on the big screw, but that one holds it for 4 years now. And to get an oilcooler on my bike, I just got some parts in, look at the picture. And moto Spezial is still making parts, only not supplying all aftermarket and Guzziparts from others anymore. THe owner stripped it down to a one person operation.
  6. price is here identical to the 750 breva, so take the normal, not discounted breva 750 price as guide. But take a 1000s, and paint it white, then you have a bigblock v7 classic, not?
  7. Mandello has a single plate clutch, so makes more noise.
  8. Every part of the mgs01 is extreme expensive. to get an idea, look here: http://oemmotorparts.com two posibilities: my austrian friend that made the mgs01 replica sells body sets with subframes. That was made for centauro frame so will fit on v11 frame. The other is Guzzibun who let make replica bodywork for racing with his mgs01 by Gyles. But I'm not shure it will fit a v11. In both cases a tank has to be made, the thing you see is a cover only. But that tank could be pretty rough, you don't see it.
  9. Hi pete, I did drive the stelvio, and the engine is nice, but when I look at the technical things, the huge intake, and other evolutions from the old 4v, there should be more to get. So, or the cams are wrong, or something else is. I drove home my own 4v after the stelvio, and that one is much stronger. Even with standard v11 exhaustsystem. Only thing I don't get, is why they gave it such a small bore. Or there is easy more there so they can grow to 100mm or more, to get the 1400cc engine what we sometimes read about. And 1400 @ guzzi means 1351cc. If a > 100 bore fits in then they get it.
  10. well, I called the help in a dutch and german forum, so now we are at 20 %
  11. you just can take the rod out, thats easy, it will drop out if you don't watch it. You can unsrew the 3 screws on the cylinder at the back of the gearbox.
  12. Victor, That is something from an italian oberdan bezzi. lots of it here, all dreams. http://www.animaguzzista.com/page_builder....esign_body.HTML
  13. no these are baby wheels, look at tire sizes. Make it big? well isn't that what the 1000s was? Or get a bellagio, put on new seat and v7 tank.
  14. might be more like 75-80 kg from what I remember, without gearbox
  15. So pete you start modding before driving the bike? Tell us what you think about the engine.
  16. well you seem to take it light. Who are the dancing people in the video? If it was me, I would like to know if a failure inside the engine was the fault. And if so what?
  17. welding the blue forged ones is a problem?
  18. look here: http://cgi.ebay.it/MAS-12S-MOTO-GUZZI-RACE...1QQcmdZViewItem there is lots of info available on anima guzzista about the bike, and http://www.mandelloracing.com/ http://www.mandelloracing.com/ITA07/Foto-T...S12/page_01.htm
  19. like this, is original on early types I think?
  20. Well BMW put huge amounts of money into this. Even BMW's boss was there I heard. So the walking over the finish line must have given some BMW technicians a heart attack. But it gave them 30 seconds free attention. Well and if Piaggio would compete there, it would be with Aprilia. Maybe with the new superbike they do it. For last year they even build a complete new 4v head. That might flow into production bikes, first like the hp2, maybe more in the end.
  21. I see in the standings that Guaro was in the race, until the 19th hour where electrical problems killed the suzuki. They were at place 15 team page: http://www.nolimits44.com Look at the suit: And the bmw was pushed over the finish, maybe to little petrol?
  22. looks like the spring is gone, no need to take the gearbox out, just remover starterengine, oil out, and then remove the small cover there. Now if the spring is broken, there is a set with a new pawl arm that is going to solve it forever. But the search function will show you enough thats writen about it here
  23. she has some shaving to do I think.
  24. so mine is doing 9000rpm in 6th gear, with v11 le mans gearing that makes 162 mph (261km/h), that sounds pretty fast. My own calculations were lower
