So when you change back to the v11, is that still worth the ride, or does the stelvio it all better? @jihem, I heard they have a different map in the 8v griso, but I'm not shure.
  2. all showas are to short. no option. And if they come in then need a lot more adaptation then the ohlins. If you have a bike with new type marzochi, 43mm forks, only thing to change is the mudgard, can't call that adaptation. The work on older bikes is only because you go to a bigger spindle. So have reworked a marzochi, but in the end weren't that satisfied, or bought a ohlins. And then what costs this mod? more then you think.

well there are accessories from guzzi available, hard cases looking like the ones from the norge. The silencer makes enough deep tones, to keep it as is.
  4. well, you can even fix lights
  5. I think thats a lot of cutting/welding. Best thing would maybe be to move the swingarm-pivot forward, and extend the swingarm.
  6. but then you should have a high beam?

well the silencer doesn't bother me. The bike makes enough sound. Social and enough deep tones. On pictes it looked huge to me, in real life, it fits the picture. What I would do, is dismount the two things left and right from the engine. Nice designer touch, can I live without

Well today was perfect bike day, sun, 12 degrees, and the Stelvio was waiting for me. When standing with the bike it's huge. And when you get in in your hand it feels heavy. But the moment you sit on it, all that is gone. It feels all in the right place, and comfy. I started to drive through a small village, where they had all sorts of things in the road to make you drive slow. That was a good test, since we have that everywhere. Well the long suspesion is a big plus here, it doesn't make a difference a fews bups in the road. And the small curves they let you make, fine with the Stelvio, it's very light flickable. A moment when I too the wrong direction and wanted to turn, was a next test, the radius it can do is very small, and I could do it with no foot on the road. A road made from small stones, well stones weren't felt. Then outside town, local roads, easy and light to dirve, just fun. Between cars, the upright high position is a big plus, they see you and you can see over most cars. I adjusted the screen to lowest position, in the high position wind was just on my helmet. I heard from a Dutch Stelvio owner, that he mounted a Norge screen, that fits too. And is bigger. Well and the engine, it does what it should do any moment, but compared to my 1225 it is dull. But for normal road use, the 4v stelvio will do fine. The gearbox is a bit less soft than my v11 box, but the bike nearly had 200km done when I got her. All shifts were precise. Some tests talk about a huge hole in the midrange, I dind't have problems with that, the only noticed weirness was at 3000, driving behind a truck, then it has a bit on/off feeling. Like the lambda comes in and goes out, or something like it. When I brought het back and landed on the Daytona, first thought was, what idiot placed the footrests so high, and why is the clipons so low? It toook some time to get used to my daytona, and then I made a trip of another 100km because the sun was there. Will I buy one? Maybe, It looks like a bike that you can do very easy long distance driving with, and since I'm not 20 anymore, the comfort counts too. I think it's way better bike then any tonti based Guzzi. Maybe the best Guzzi until now.

Isn't it? I read in some guzzi press info that they changed 512 parts in the engine. Then you might think it's the same. Hey dude it's a twin from mandello, yes they make them for 40 years now. I bet there isn't a part identical, besides standard bolts. I see they found it back: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/upload/20928...lvio%20test.pdf
  12. Well there is copyright on this work. And I think finding this servicemanual on internet isn't that hard. Because others have put it on the web before. And then there are people burning it on cd's and selling it on ebay. Look I don't have a v11 but have a technical interest. So I do have the v11 manual too. The bike I have, I bought the original servicemanual for at the dealer.

tommorow I have a testdrive on one, we'll see :-)
  14. Well, I've seen the inside when the spring broke, looked fine on first sight, but hadden't time to do a very good examination. No dramas anyway, and it shifts very light and good.

    well they are english
  16. Connector from left handlebarswitch loose(under tank)(? ALL other light things working?
  17. I know the guy who build that, he sells body kits, for much less than the G&B stuff.
  18. well, you will notice 4 lbs less on the front wheel. Mine was 3 lbs lighter than stock v11.
  19. then you need this one: but shipping would be to expensive.
  20. I think they give copper pieces when threated bad.
  21. well some will be taken in pieces because there are a lot of things older ones can be made better with. But the rest will stay for long and as long as they exist, there are people having questions. Look at all v7 and early tonti's still around. Well how old are they?
  22. yes it's all the technical the same as the first series, with red frame.
  23. yes that can be related with mounting new lights, maybe they make a short circuit somewhere. 20 $ for a few fuses? they cost cents each.
  24. nothing else, only paint & carbon & single clutch. suspension is identical like the rest.
  25. Jon, the furia is a G&B supertwin with other clothes on. And that one won't go with the 6 speed. If you want to use your frame, it needs close inspection, most times the forks are gone, the frame is damaged too. The G&B kit that is pictured here, still needs all bits that you otherwise will need too, minus the fairing. Put in pictures what you have now.
