  1. greg, you never get 2 times the same color from guzzi. You know that :D A friend who wanted to buy a new grey cover for his v11 engine got every time a different shade of gray. Same partnumber
  2. the strangest thing are the handlebars, these were the sort I had on my first suzuki gs500 in 1979. Called "clip ons" these were the "real" sport items.
  3. About the ecu, if the corsa has a lambda, then the ecu from the ti pipes won't work. But maybe the pc is enough to get a nice bike without evu swap.
  4. what is the ecu change for? They can be programmed, If you have the right equipment. Ecu change on itself is done in 10 minutes, if the bolts don't give a problem.
  5. I told it here several times: guzzi sold most of the overstock to hmb-guzzi in germany, ask there. They have kept a small amout I suppose, but if a few guys before wanted red, then you are out of luck.
  6. if it's not the first time then 4 hours or less are possible, but if you are new in this take 8 hours as guide
  7. first read this, and then complain in one of the 5 other topics about this, if you still need that. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12741
  8. look for a shop who does this for cars and trucks.
  9. Joe, It's not that simple. For us as customers, it's not easy to see what part of the service an importer gives is from him, or restricted or dictated by the factory. If fi you are not satisfied with the spare parts delivery, is it because the importer doesn't order/has stock, or the factory doesn't deliver. IF an importer only orders once a month the spare parts in the factory, can you blame mandello for not sending the pats quick?
  10. Dan 2-3 month isn't to long, better= faily quick, just order them, every day you wait is a day more before you get them.
  11. I would't go for a 6", a 5,5 is wide enough
  12. I can't follow this move Antonio. Did you look what these wheels cost as a ducati item? You wanted not to expensive wheels. These aren't so cheap. And if they would make a special run, doesn't cut the price either.
  13. well, I think you won't get much response. It needed something like 90 norge owners( from anima guzzista.it) to get a small response. Maybe your dealer can get them to pay something? If you need engine parts, hmb-guzzi in germany has all v11 remaining parts from the factory.
  14. A front picture would be nice too, look at the angle the header pices are, and where the silencers are. Maybe someone has been making calculations and found this to be optimal?
  15. Antonio, I do know that, but special wheels are always expensive. Look what the list price is of ordinary v11 wheels. The ones you don't want and are low tech. Then more high tech wheels, not made in great production runs, can't be cheap. I think the braking wheels are priced right, only they don't heave ready to fit wheels. Because we dont have a bike where they can sell a few thousand wheels for.
  16. Hi Jasper, The bst carbon is double the pvm price. I think you could have the made, I once informed, and then they said they would make a fitting wheel. But no cush drive. G&B are sold out I heard. Site isn't updated in years. A cush isn't simple to fit in an existing wheel. The forces around the hub aren't small, and you don't want something to fail there. Th braking price is nice, but depends on what it costs to have them made ready.
  17. one that has it's front wheel broken, with no serious damage? I think there must be more wrong. My le mans had nothing wrong with it's wheel, but had it's frame bend.
  18. That was one thing, that was broken with the new software version. Forgot about it, will fix it. Edit: looked into it, most works now.
  19. So Antonio, what did you expect? A pair for 1000 euro of what? Cheapest option is the braking one, but need machining and have no cushdrive
  20. I see you didn't follow the wheel treads, that have been here for years. In short: - magnesium is lighter than aluminium, but it has a habbit of getting weaker by time if corrosive environment is there. Like air. So they need to be painted very good. Most magnesium isn't road legal because of that. Or not guaranteed to last long. - Most PVM wheels are now forged alu, forging makes material stronger, and so with less material you have same strenght. They even have forged magnesium. - Marvic does offer forged wheels too, but not in the piuma series. PVM was a good german supplier, but now it seems they have lost interest in selling wheels a bit, because they have big orders from a bavarian motorcycle company. Marvic is italian, and seems to deliver like you expect from italians. Looks like PVM is slightly more expensive, but well you have to campare the same product to be fair. Shipping from somewhere in europe should be roughly the same.
  21. to be clear, my wheels are going nowhere :-) And I don't want the Marvics
  22. Well then you get the mgs01 cush drive. Point stays, it's magnesium. If you have no problem with that, this is an option. Now to find a place to buy them. Maybe Guareschi moto is an option, they are dealer, and the only ones that realy use these wheels. It's a little strange that wheels from italy should go to the usa and be cheaper when they are back here? maybe a group buy, if the ones who talk about wheels for ages really are ready to buy?
  23. I think all those links are in the links section above, and if not feel free to add them. Doc, 2000 version only is with the manual cd, that could be dowloaded from different places.
  24. here other italian forks: http://cgi.ebay.nl/Marzocchi-Superbike-For...1QQcmdZViewItem
  25. I see a lot of people using http://www.flickr.com And they are happy
