  1. The breaking wheels are cheap. I have not found any weight number. I know that they can be made fitting in a guzzi, but without cush drive. If your connection could bring breaking to make a series direct fitting wheels there is a market. For that price the brake disks are included! here is the example
  2. In the pictures all scews are marked, even the idle screws. the official text: TECHNICAL NOTE No. 007-2007 22-06-2007 MODEL: Breva 850/1100 Griso 850/1100 Norge 850/1200, 1200 Sport SUBJECT: Throttle body seals Dear Dealer, we hereby would like to inform you that, from today onwards, the warranty claims relating to the replacement of throttle body on the a.m. models will no longer be valid in case an alteration of adjuster screws (sealed with yellow paint - see attached picture) is found. We would like to point out that any alteration of the throttle body does not entail any advantage to bike dynamics. Throttle body correct balancing can be made only by Magneti Marelli, namely the Manufacturer of this part. Air flow is adjusted by a special tool called flow-meter, which is used to set air flow per time unit. This is the reason why, if the screws used to maintain this balance are tampered with, it is no longer possible to restore throttle body correct setting, and throttle bodies have thus to be compulsorily replaced. Best regards. Moto Guzzi S.p.A. Technical Service
  3. to add to petes story, they tell in the letter, that the tb's are syced at marrelli on a flow bench, and no way you can do it better. And because you have no flow bench, and guzzi either, if they are adjusted, there is nothing that can be done to repair. And so they will not replace them as warranty item. But it's only for the new range. My idea it that adjusting has not only to do with flow is a body on the bench, but also with the engine sucking on it. Try to misadjust valves and see how the balance is. Or the other way arround: the tb's are ok, so adjust the valves until you have a balance on the intake.
  4. well, I don't know what they replaced in the gearbox, but there is a difference between the gear-ratio betwen the models with veglis tacho and the later ones with black tacho. So maybe they put in wrong parts, and if thet is, it would be solved with the black tacho, or exchanging the gears for the right ones.
  5. I have a set Ohlins front forrks, the same that were mounted on the last v11 series, cafe sport and rossa corsa. They are unused. They just slip in. The mudgard mount is different, but the mudgards from scura/cafe sport/rosso corsa fir or fromthe apilia rsv mille. You might need a new wheel spindle if you have an older bike, spindle from 999 duc fits pertect, cots 60 euro at the duc dealer. Forks are 1000 euro plus shipping. All mounting in this tread: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1201
  6. Thats bad news, and makes me realize how lucky I'm that there never was a rock on my way in all my motoryears. I see the normal damage most have. Nothing unreparable. Only the rossopuro thing didn't help a lot.
  7. well to refine: -there are enough pictures of the proto to show it's no photoshop. -Goffredo writes it's an old proto, from the time the breva was desiged to show how to make a more sporty bike on the same basis. - I know Goffredo has more connections close to the factory, so might know more, but can't tell all. I don't know what the problem with the chrome is, these are attached pieces, when there is an fairing, that can attach to the tank just there, look norge or r1200s
  8. Mike, that's not an exerience I would like. But I owned an scura too. That bike is so stable, even without a steering damper in normal conditions there should't be any problem. After the first v11 sport, guzzi made the v11 le mans, and all never bikes like the scura longer and slower steering. So I think on your bike must be someting wrong. Wheel bearings, defective steering damper, lots of things, that I can't see from here. You were riding alone? But this way is no fun, I suggest find a proper shop that can look at the bike. What is your weight? You can drop the forks 1/2 an inch, but without that it should be stable.
  9. Well if you read Goffredos post better you would know what the bike was made for. Four years ago. But maybe in six weeks we know more. This bike is not going like this in production, it's a bit dated design.
  10. just look carefull when moving the shifter, it can be a bolt came lose, or can't move freely because there is something on it's way.
  11. well the 9500 was given last year at the introduction in milan. Now we know it only needs 7500 rpm to reach 110hp
  12. the same Alessio tells us: The distribution camshaft in head light and is refined, could calmly - engineer Alessio Sissi says to us, in charge of this plan - exceed the limit of 8.500 turns tax from the limiter. and for the debate if to call it 4v or 8v: Griso 1200 8V, this the correct denomination of the motion. In Guzzi house they call it only “Quattrovalvole familily”, like the number of the valves for cylinder.
  13. All spine were sold as chrome moly steel. Since they have less frame, it should be better quality steel. Modern steel might be better than the old days, so no wories about griso/ breva steel. The mgs01 is a spine too, with even less frame, some people are able to get very fast with that. If Guaro can live with it, it's good enough for me.
  14. what does brg have to do with guzzi? Yes they had green on racebakes in the past. But very different. And not the metalic as seen now, on for instance the millepercento bikes.
  15. The spines up to somewhere in the v11 sport series had the brace. So does mine. What happened from the v11lemans up, is the bracing at the gearbox rear, with the two bars reaching to the engine, and cross bracing behind gearbox. I did add the crossbracing behind the gearbox when I was busy there. The alu frame plates are not so weak. It can be that other bikes are more stiff, I don't care, for me it's ok like it is now. Extending the swingarm made a big difference in how rear suspension works. With help of the dynotec adjusted Ohlins there.
  16. All spine frames( daytonav11) are the same, with small dimension mods, like steeringhead angle, and from the le mans a longer part behind the steering head.
  17. well the first griso proto had the daytona engine, these heads need space. But the breva frame is used in most bikes. And gets the 8v engine too. So that fits in. Griso gas tank size is smaller with 8v engine. And did you see the weight for the old griso is 227 kg nad the 8v 222 kg? How do the weigh? The clutch is filled with helium?
  18. The silencer looks great. The text from the website translates as follows: There is the thing that even this muffler connects upward and be ね that is formation of. I borrowed the thing that was contributed in the Guzzi site which there are the photographs of 2 sheets of ※. Although this thinks that be a remarkable scoop there was not a イマイチ echo It can not be how although it is readily fashionable 容 and ー? 《主語なし》Installation 1200/4 valves of glee Soviet of the top a remarkable price with/ it will run structure because it looks fairly light. Is the naming 1200TTR? 19. well, I do have a new set Ohlins forks for sale....
  20. Two things I can think of: 1. front engine cover has to be old style with alternator in front, I don't know if the crank has to changed for that. 2. the two chain tunnels might be where the spine frame is, i don't know how close it is there, might be no problem. 3. get me such an engine, I will build it in a daytona RS, so we know
  21. well, we once had this picture, http://www.mgcn.nl/dameijer/Moto-Guzzi-Monza-1
  22. well, a to powerfull bike can be tuned for max torque over wide range. And for power/weight advantage, count with your own weight with the bike, and see if a light or a powerfull heavy bike has an advantage
  23. what sort of power is allowed with what weight?. Detuning, depends on how much. Easy is intake/auxhaust restrictions, otherwise centauro cams:-)
  24. dyno results are hard to compare, circumstances vary to much. Murrays MGS does 131 sae. When the result is displayed in din hp, then you even have 134hp. My understanding is that there are 2 series cams in the mgs, the earlier and the later series. Their both bikes have the 4300 rpm dip. Mine has less power, partly because the cam is not as racy, partly because the chanels in the heads as less wide in mine. My engine was build in 1995! But I don't have the dip in torque. Because the dyno station I was had a bad working rpm pickup, I don't have a nice torque curve to show.
  25. for the interested, in this topic more head pictures http://www.guzzisti.it/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24377
