  1. On anima guzzista I found a picture of the cam, nothing hydraulic here:
  2. Well, it was a very pleasant meeting. All things needed for that were there. Good weather, nice people, nice place. Thanks to Jaap and Antonio. I was unfortunate to have some battery laoding problems, so I cound't do the tour, but did my own instead. I made a gallery, and uploaded my 3 pictures, others can add there http://www.v11lemans.com/gallery/categories.php?cat_id=34
  3. the hydraulic valves thing isn't in the italian version of the website. But it has a single disk clutch:-)
  4. have fun
  5. well ists the rounded modern look. Maybe a market for other valvecovers with cooling fins? Note that they are mounted like bmw does :-)
  6. pictures: http://www.guzzisti.it/page_builder.php?fi...riso8v_body.htm
  7. well, chopping the frame plates does not gain that much weight. And to compensate, you need to make the subframe stronger. Racecoo did have a modified frame there. I did make a custom subframe there, with crossbracing. This is where the swingarm is mounted on the bike and to have a strong point makes a lot of sense. look here for my frame: http://www.fastguzzi.nl/v12/engine2.jpg http://www.fastguzzi.nl/v12/frame11.jpg http://www.fastguzzi.nl/v12/frame10.jpg I have the short gearbox, so it's a little differerent. Since the long swingarm, rear suspension realy is working
  8. not only rumors, I have the presspaper from guzzi at the introduction last year, the original text: But you know italians, a bit enthousiastic. And the engine was nearly a prototype then. GRISO 8 V: The power of the eagle The Griso 8 V is the outcome of some of the most challenging work carried out by Moto Guzzi for its new generation machines. With its graceful lines, the Griso 8 V has opened the way to a new, absolute sense of “sports” that is created by the power and technology of the innovative engine. Although designed along traditional lines, the new engine is a celebration of the logic behind the 90 degree V concept. It features a single overhead camshaft that operates the four valves on each cylinder with noiseless timing chains. This is quite an evolution to the already tuned 1200 cc engine that now puts out 110 CV at 9,500 rpm with maximum torque of 11 kgm. The power delivery is silky smooth and on the open road the bike’s true sports character shines along with the countless technical innovations and the new sense of style. Although the exclusive exhaust system with twin coiled pipes has been seen before, it now truly reflects the greater power of these machines. From the looks point of view, the Griso 8 V has undergone customising that includes particular stylistic details like the new saddle and streamlined side panels as well as equipment levels of the highest possible level. Even the most discerning of palates will appreciate the front end with its Brembo P4/34 radial caliper brakes that act on wave floating discs measuring Ø 320mm. They will also be able to count on Showa upside-down forks that have had 43 layers of carbon nitride treatment. Sitting astride the bike, the rider can immediately sense the sports riding position that the new setup between handlebars, saddle and footpegs provides. These are all new components and were specially designed to make the rider feel completely in control. The two-seater saddle creates a wonderful backwards view and there seems to be a tail like on a single seater. In fact there is in fact more than enough room for a passenger to sit in great comfort. Powerful, elegant and exclusive, the Griso 8V will beyond doubt become a cult item among true enthusiasts of elite motorbikes.
  9. press conference tomorrow in milan, but the bikes were there today:
  10. well the bigbore is 106x73 giving 1300cc. ducati aircooled 1100 are 98 x 71.5 ducati 1098 104x64 max hp @ 9750 morini corsaro 1200 107x 66 max hp@8500 My daytona does 115 hp@8000rm at the wheel, also must be 125 at the crank. Torque is 106 nm@6750 My bike does not have a high power c kit cam but a milder one so there is power everywhere. Other similar 1225 bikes have 125hp at the wheel. and yes, the 1225 is a 100x78 engine, so stroke is stock.
  11. well pushrods llike in the daytona, it does have an inhead cam like daytona & BMW, that is driven by chain. The pushrods in the daytona are no rev limiting factor.
  12. well you have to make the air in and out efficient enough to have that power at 9500. My daytona has peak at 8000. And the guzzilla doesn't have it much higher. It could be that they use a real big bore like the guareschi "bigbore", and short stroke. A duc 1098 does have it's peak at 9800 I think, short stroke, big bore.
  13. pierre , I see there 110 hp, and technical specs from the 850 griso. The rest is the press anouncement, see that before.
  14. so what idle rpm do you have? Before you find your solution, turn it up to 1200. That will save your heart.
  15. I don't see whats so bad about the review. They conclude its'not a sporty bike, but:
  16. this week in mandello the one they giveaway:
  17. Hi I never had, one to fit, but measuring from outside to the center would do I suppose?
  18. well, now I read this, and looks interesting. So who sends its v11 engine to johnson, to see if he can get a cool running 120 hp out of it?
  19. most important is, when they give one away, production must be starting. Last year in mandello, the 1200 sport wasn't even in production, time flies.
  20. your seals were new when you got the bike, when I got it one side was leaking a little, so I let ohlins replace the seals.
  21. Søren, You didnt see that Roberto posted the same ? You don't read what others write:-) But in the pressrelease, whats new, they will show the 4v @ the GMG, we did know that. And the first from the productionline is given away under the gmg visitors, But I 'm in Sibbe then.
  22. some people seem to have problems with ohlins seals, others don't. But why? One thing I can think of is cleaning. Keep the things clean. The v11 mudgard does not protect the parts it should. Better get a aprilia rsv mudgard, that fits.
  23. Yes it's supercorsa 180, I like them very much, not that I'm that fast but they give a lot of confidence (that I need). I know they glue to the road like hell. I never have had them doing strange things, allways under control. The front is nice pointy, steers quick. Only downside is taht the profile on the sides isn't there so you have no good wearing indicator. They should have made the small holes that slicks have. I heard the diablo supercorsa should even be better.
  24. the motogadget classic is much more classic cafe racer look:
