  1. they might be to big. send then to me, I'll solve that
  2. You don't want to know that :-) Germany and swiss are the highest risk, but on the other side, driving to mandello GMG, I have hardly seen any police, and when they don't see you, they won't get you. If you see police, just keep revs low.
  3. They are Italian you know.
  4. Alex, you spend your time on wrong things, this engine is mentioned before, even the mgs I think with this engine. But the papa of guaro told me he changed a lot in the engine http://www.bigbore.it/ IF you go to my website, and visit all links on the linkpage, you have all important things seen.
  5. First race won, tomorrow the next one, US guys, go and see, and take some pictures!
  6. They are made in couple, not sold seperate. That has a reason. I think some italian matches couples that fit best toghther. Hard to do in a one off.
  7. other way to check: take a 12v bulb, connect between ground somewhere and the wire from the point to the coil, now if the key is on, turn the engine on the crank, the light should be on when points are open, and off point closed. try both points, should give same results.
  8. when I read the post, the left cylinder header stayed cold, and the left coil was hot. When connected to 12v dc the whole time, that's when the points don't open, the coil will get hot, and die in the end. When connected to 12v, with 3.3 ohmns resistance gives 12/3.3 = 3.6 amps. That will generate heat. So points aren't opening. Or the capacitor is faulty. The schematics are very simple: one side of the coil is connected to the +12v of the battery. The other side of the coil is contacted to one side of the points, when point is closed, it is connected to ground( = -12v). When point closed, there flows a current through the coil ( 3.6 amps), at the moment the point opens, there isn't current flow, but the capacitator that is connected over the point contacts, togehter with the coil inductance generate the spark.

    M G Trckbike?

Well, I've been offered mgs01 plastics by someone who makes them, but then it would just be a mgs01 wannabe. And I would have to explain: no it isn't an mgs01.

    M G Trckbike?

the easy way is to get a mgs01, the hard way is to build one yourself. Like mine:

    New Quota?

    some more pictures: http://www.simonellimoto.it/page.php?id=25&Submit=Invia
  12. all cali hubs will fit.
  13. well someone realy reads these manuals.:-) from the 2001 le mans manual: >While assembling the tires follow the arrow showing the proper direction of rotation. If you question the manual , allways get the italian one, that is mostly correct. The arrows should be like michelin tells you.
  14. well, if someone needs fork parts, I have a set 2001 le mans 40mm forks, slightly bent, but good to take parts of. For shipping + 20 euro, I send them.
  15. Well, Pete, I'll be there if timing makes it possible. You can visit my shed too:-), not so far from TLM is a moto guzzi museum. http://www.guzzipalace.nl Make a list, another good source for Nuovo falcone is Barbara Escher I think. http://www.escher.de/ . But if you have a complete list, you can send it to teo L before you go there. here is a list: http://www.devce.demon.co.uk/falcone/parts.htm
  16. somewhere on the gearbox, maybe behind starter engine, I don't know where they put it that years.
  17. I do it different, I measure between swingarm and porkchops.
  18. I like the idea, but it's to big for me, my current watch is only 32mm and 5 thick. I see that all selfwinding watches are thick. My Seiko does its job now for 15 years. I can't find a replacement.
  19. gearboxes starting from CF011500 and CL011200 are helical cut.
  20. well the italian supertwins class isn't on tv in italy? So I don't think the races from the classes where the mgs01 will be in daytona, it's an amateur race, not important for tv.
  21. well, needed is a big word, it won't hurt. First v11 sport had them too, leter v11 have other stenghtening pieces. What is the problem getting engine back? you do it with gearbox or gearbox first?
  22. I suppose it will be like last year, the ahrma serie formula twins or/and BATTLE OF TWINS, here are the rules: http://www.ahrma.org/rulebook/2007_ahrma_handbook.pdf
  23. what I can't get: he lived in the neighbourhood, then as a motorcyclist you spot these sort of circumstances. Even when you pass by car. I record these things in my head. But maybe not everyone's head does this.
  24. I see I have made a mistake, the dutch britten nr9, did win in daytona, after the team worked allnight to get the bike back toghether. Dutchman Lex van Dijk was the pilot.
  25. I've seen the britten 2 times in Assen with the britten team. Amazing in it's time. And still is. One britten is still in the netherlands, and has been driven in the bott, but most of the time had so much problems that it never ended a race. They have been to daytona with that bike, but had a lot of problems there too. I think it's in the showroom of the company that owns the bike. I had the videotape, with the britten story, I lended it to someone years ago, it never came back.
