  1. Frosty, I don't get it: you first tell us what number you can get, Marcelllo gives a list so you can see that it is a racing, So I think it's all answserd. But ow you can't find the number? Well it should be on the steeringhead. right side And left a metal badge with the number too. On the papers the number is too.
  2. racing has gray painted engine and gray wheels. You get the terminioni exhaust with it? The ecu has a green "RACING" on it. The one I have here does.
  3. Brian, The engine was never intended to be used as a stressed part. Ok it works. The spine itself is very weak. Try this with bike on stand, remove the 2 front engine/frame bolts, and move a bit with the front wheel left to right, notice the place where you just took the bolts out. The steeringhead swingam connection should be inflexible. And with the lower rails there is added strenght to the swingarm mounting. The >2002 has added strenght there too. Even without the bars to the engine there is a gain because of the extra cross bars.
  4. they were Dynotec race wheels.
  5. All spines have a 40cm long swingarm, from daytona to the last v11. All v11 swingarms have same measurments. NO extra stifner. My daytona has a much more extreme geometry, feels quick steering but never out of control. It might be a combination of things, that make the first v11 stock not as good handeling as it could have been. What made a bad press to start with, and the new owners aprilia "solved" it. So made the frame 5 inch longer, a lazy headangle to name two. They did some good things, the front engine triangle is stiffer, and the mounting between engine and gearbox/swingarm is a good one too. But if you bother, why don't make a set lower frame rails, like a tonti. It's pretty easy, not sexy but I think it works, for all spines. You can find an example on Stan Friduss sport 1100. http://www.guzzitech.com/racers/stan5.JPG

    New entry

Hi Marcello, v10 is welcome here too, we even have some mgs01 owners here.
  8. found you a wheel picture axcle is 104.6mm between the bearings, and total lenght= 133.4mm
  9. looks things are going wrong here. I bet on a missing or to short spacer in the wheel. here is a picture how it should look: http://www.angelfire.com/weird2/v11/gb/v11/css/31.pdf and here is a spindle with centerspacer, and bearings mounted ( I knew I once posted that, and with this you can see all posted attachments: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/displimg.php ) So the spacer is going trough one bearing, resting to the other. The bearings are flush mounted at the disk front, yours are much more inside. I think you could have saved yourself buying the triple if you measured the parts you have and posted clear pictures.
  10. The kit is made for the v11 sport headlight, that's different
  11. Guzzi seems to make a faired griso with faster engine later this year. There is rumour about 4v heads, no overhead cams.
  12. just extend the linkage arm, I did that and it is as short as any jap bike, no negatives until now, ok one: I have to be a bit more subtle to get in in free.
  13. Guy, congratulations, always fun to have a new toy.
  14. hand tight is best, be very carefull it you realy want to do this with a torque wrench. Its a nasty place to get broken bolts out. Don't ask me how I know.
  15. I made a new lever, so the shifting is shorther. It feels fine, just need to get used to the short clicks. It doesn't need to much force. This is just a proto, will make one from alu.
  16. In italy someone has taken the swingarm and gearbox rear from the mgs and is building it on a v11 http://www.maximotor.it
  17. is the same, moto spezial makes them, so get it from the source.
  18. so what forks are we talking about, marzocchi, WP? Brake calipers normaly don't need any washers. And the wheel is supposed to be center. That means the wheel should be in the forks so that the brake discs are center in the calipers. Just look in the calipers from top, center disk should be in line with the caliper center.
  19. For all who can't transfer money to europe, they have a paypal account now, look on the website. http://www.guzzisti.it/page_builder.php?fi...-12_sponsor.htm
  20. Bruno scola has a new shop, here one picture, look for the rest: http://www.scolabruno.com/news.html
  21. well, the same engine as the mt01, is used by Over racing. from japan. The owner, Kensi Sato has this as a project. He tries to get it as fast to be allowed to get it qualified for the 8 hours suzuka race. Now it's 120 hp 157Nm , 209 kg. In Assen it didnt qualify in 2004 for the Sound of Thunder, to slow.
  22. when we are talking Soccer, look at the dutch team. dutch team
  23. The sound from that thing with open exhaust is great. How low can you go?
  24. luck was on your side this time.
  25. nogbad, they are all tubeless. the ones with the extra n and so on behind then are tyres that have been made for first mounting on specfied bikes. Like a blackbird that has very high speed, and weight.
