  1. this topic was in wrong place, so here a new chance
  2. Ok Antonio: Stucchi Luigi http://www.stucchiluigi.it
  3. Cristel, ignore Antonio. He is Italian, and thinks he knows better what is on your silencer. It is Lafranconi, not lanfranconi. For the sound, making holes somewhere in the stock silencers can be done, but only brings noise. Another possiblity is to use the Stucci crossover instead of the stock one, that makes the bike run a bit better and make some more noise. Other silences do the trick too, making it serious louder, and depending if you like that and the police in sweden, you can do that. Or make 3 holes from 20 mm in the airbox lid, you will notice that, and can glue that back if you don't Regaring your Japan fobia, you know Öhlins is owned by Yamaha?
  4. that's an interesting picture, I suppose you cleanes it before the picture, do you have a picture of the things you took out? I suppose the ring inside the alu outside was heavily corroded?
  5. Yes I told them to get paypal for people from the other side of the ocean. If it's a real trouble I can use my paypal for it I think. Only that will generate extra costs.
  6. In Mandello, the Mandello Racing Team has build the racebike with the watercooled 4V engine. They have put huge ammounts of money in the bike. But now the end of all personal finances is there. They did soem supertwins races, but have to stop with that if no other funding is found. The Anima Guzzisti website is collecting money for them. Look at this link( english a bit down the page), and please transfer some money. You even can win the posibility the try the MAS12 on a racetrack. Some reports about the bike are to be found on the anima guzzista website. click here to get more info: http://www.guzzisti.it/page_builder.php?fi...-12_sponsor.htm some info on the bike: http://www.guzzisti.it/page_builder.php?fi...oRacingTeam.htm
  7. 1 hp=1 ps 1 HorsePower= 1 PferdeStarke Only differece is if you have it in din, sae or other notation din = Deutsche Industie Norm sae = Society of Automotive Engineers
  8. wambiker, The picture explains all. The steel in the alu eye is so rusted, that it grows thicker, and can't turn anymore. A little oil on there once in a while would have saved it. It may not look like it , but it's a rotation point. Every time I see a british bike it's rusted, the climate must be much worse than in holland.
  9. Murray, Pvm wheels are build from the rim and spokes and an empty center. Depending on the bike they have a different insert in them. Ok this is making things a bit simple, but to give the idea. So I suppose they have a 4.5 rim for 250 bikes, combining this with the guzzi hub should be possible. But if you are serious, you send them a mail. Gale doesn't do guzzi wheels. Believe me, I have looked at ALL options.
  10. this has been discused before, but short: -G&B has no cush drive and I think they don't make them anymore. -magnesium isn't reliable for road use. -you can't compare weights from the folder. -the mgs01 wheels are only available at your guzzi dealer, but prepare to double the PVM price. -if you still want magnesium, you also can consider Marvic piuma, they now have a set for the v11, 1990 euro, www.marvic.it
  11. another idea, drive by http://www.hopmotorsport.nl/ they don't have a set, but all colors available. The set on the picture looks to have not so much parts. I see HOP has griso sets availble.
  12. so why is that, because of the price? Some people can afford it, and don't have a problem with the price. I can't, but have no problem with the ones who can. If the price is right, doesn't make a difference. What we will see are copys of the bodywork, fitting to other bikes. I have seen a 999 with this bodywork.
  13. well the front might be not that much lighter, but a big part of the saving is in the rim, that is where the gyroscopic counts. When you have the whole rotating mass, the tyre and ddisks make up a big part of it. But there are no lighter tyres, unless you like em without rubber on them. My pvm was 1.5 kg lighter than the v11 stock wheel. weighted as mounted with disk and spacers. The latest generation japanese sportbikes has just as light wheels, only they won't fit less easy, and rear is a real problem mounting. The rsv front won't be that hard to mount, disk mouting is the same, only check center to center distance between disks.
  14. I read on the duc website the you get 3 years warranty and maintenance with it. But I suppose most will be in the living room of the owners, so that won't cost them much.
  15. There was the same rs monster at the clubrace here, wasn't as fast as the mgs01 with guareschi. But the rider might be the difference. the other duke makes me want a 4 cyl bike:-) But they priced it out of my reach, so I don't have to think about it. It's the ultimate poser bike. No mv ago will hold up to that looks. The fairing and tail wil be copyed fast for all other ducs. They even let ohlins make forks with the gas filled system for it. That won't be the real superbike forks, that would be to expensive.
  16. this is michelle smith, weird fetish you have. Or is there another ms?
  17. No, OZ doesn't have a cush drive. I see cheapest pvm is 2199$ for guzzi who dares to drive with magnesium, can also have Marvic, they make the piuma range now for the v11 and mgs01. Guareschi has them, and they have a cush drive. I guess the v11 and mgs01 wheels are identical, so you will need the mgs01 cush drive parts with it. V11 front € 690,00 rear € 1270,00 www.marvic.it
  18. what you really notice is the front wheel. A lot. I have a longer swingarm, so my rear suspension is actualy working:-) But I didn't notice the rear wheel difference. PVM wheels are expensive, depending also on where on the world you are. In euros I tink 2200. With shopping around you can save, but the cush drive makes it more expensive, than advertized prices.
  19. I solved it. Was comming from security patches after the hack.
  20. stock, rear is 18 kg, that is as you take the wheel of the bike, so complete with brakedisk. This was a 5.5inch wheel. Advertized weighs from aftermarket wheels are of no use, The weigh without all the stuff you need in the center. And my PVM has a cush drive build in that weighs too.
  21. you loose 5kg 1.5 front and 3.5 rear. this was my weighing with PVM
  22. I tried to tell it polite :-)
  23. I suppose visiting htm in achen will reveal the real contents of your engine.
  24. Ok, I think I understand, we know 3 positions of the forks, 1: wheel in the air, maximimum extension 2. wheel on the ground, no driver on the bike 3. wheel on the ground driver on the bike. 1-2 gives static sag 1-3 gives laden sag. Now the stiction is the difference when I come to the measured position in situation 3, when the forks come from extended versus compresed spings. Is this last value what we are talking about now?
  25. the basic starts with having the right spings, combined with preload. front and rear I think something like 30 mm sag should be ok. Where rear is measured beween rearwheel axcle, and a framepart above it. Over here, in the öhlins manuals you get a discerption about what should be done. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1427 Compression and rebound valve settings are of no use if the springs don't fit. Best thing to do is to go to an experienced race suspension shop. They have done it a zillion times, and springs are not expensive. It's the most well spend money you can put in your bike.
