  1. Ok then you 1-2 mm is way to little. Or the forks are like shit, or your weight is like a baby. When you stand next to the bike, bike rightup, not on sidestand, push with your hand downwards on the back of the tank, front and back should go down the same amount.
  2. taking a bike on the track gives even more fun than posing with it. Even if you are a lousy driver like me. Here Papa Guareschi in Assen. More pictures on my site & the story on Anima Guzzista
  3. I still don't get it, are we talking sag with bike, or just the leg without anything attached to it, alone?
  4. measuring voltage across the pins of a fuse means little to nothing. It's depending on the internal impedance of your meter what you read. So please measure amperes only. If it's resistance only, then you will measure resistance with all fuses in place, and the battery disconnected, measuring across the battery terminals cables. So the meter connected instead of the battery. So you made me go to the shed, get my Fluke 87 multimeter, a very expensive one. I happen to own a v11 ecu, and have now measured any wire against pin 17. The lowest resistance I could find was 16 K ohm, what, if a ground is connected to it would give 0.00075 amps current. But since the thing is full with electronics, it will work different with a voltage attached. That's why I tell you to only measure current between fuse terminals.
  5. There you have on front the timing sensor, and a bit back with one wire on it, the oilpressure switch, the one that lights your oil light. So your regulator is surely 100% ok? if you disconnect that one? measuring voltages acros a fuse doesn't tell much. But amps do. who you say 0.072 amps across fuse one, that means 12/0.072= 166 ohms resistance. So when you pull the ecu and measure between pin 17 and any other pin, do you have a resistance like that?
  6. those ugly hondas aren't competetion to an italian lady.
  7. the original red frame with this metalic red tank, won't that bite??
  8. ohlins has the same fit as orignal, so what fits the marzochi will do for Ohlins. Same lazy sizes.:-), but its a sports tourer after all.
  9. the rossopuro ones are moving you in a racing position, low handlebars will do. I think they are to high.
  10. brake and clutch operate exactly the same way, the cylnder from the clutch looks like a brake cylinder, and is made by grimeca. The dark clutch fluid shouldn't bother you, as long as the clutch operates normal.
  11. I must say, it looks pretty easy going. I remember being next to my bike on the dyno, and that felt more like standing next to an airplane before takeoff.
  12. biertje!
  13. I suppose your valves arew set american way, better go to euro specs with that. Further, I don't know how well adjusted everything is, that could make a difference too. I had a scura, same year, that didn't ping, and it never had. Find a dealer who cares, or a good tuuningcentre that has seen FI guzzi's before.
  14. you can connect it to one inlet maniforld, it will make things more smooth from what I heard. Easy to try. I had a scura that had it, but never tried without.
  15. moto spezial makes a cover for it.
  16. wireing should not be difficult, ask to get the original instruments and whats left of the fairing with it. Than you can change it back to original.
  17. I didn't ask the guy about these tips, but they are the ends of older guzzi exausts, like the ones on t3 or lm1/2. I think he is english, but had a french looking license plate. Jasper, I like the open look too, a lot, but the bike loves open air intake, not the K&N filters. And sound is another thing, it's just as noisy from intake as from open exausts. I don't want to have to explain the police why the original exhaust and airbox don't fit anymore... Sexy design, means there has to be a hooter at each side?
  18. Yes, the idea is to scan 3d the tail, and add an airbox to it in the computer, than mill it out of wood, and use that as a mold. So the whole thing is one big airbox. http://www.studio-id.nl
  19. That's a sad story. And reminds me again how small the edge is between fun and misery. I hope you recover without any leftover problems.
  20. congrats pete, have fun. this what I don't get, what the hell do you depend on revieuws? If I'm interested, I go and ask to ride on it. The only way to know. What others think is bullshit.
  21. I was there, wrote something for anima guzzista, so you can read it here
  22. most v11 colors are mulitlayer, can't be made with one layer. It starts with metalic gray, on top of that comes a transparent coat with the right color. On top of that a clear coat to protect. But cars are painted like this sometimes too, so it's no rocket science.
  23. You used the analog output that simulates a smallband lambda?
  24. If a manufacturer wishes to use a year code in the Vehicle Identification Number, ISO 3779 recommends that the first position of the Vehicle Identifier Section (10th position of the VIN) is used for that purpose. The recommended key for this code is given in the table below. Besides the three letters that are not allowed in the VIN itself (I, O and Q), the letter U and the zero (0) are not used for the year code. Note that the year code may be the calendar year in which a vehicle is built, or a model or type year allocated by the manufacturer. 2000 = Y 2003 = 3 2004 = 4 2005 = 5 http://home01.wxs.nl/~fransang/vinsystem.html
  25. looks mounted on the headlight, but if it will go arround the dash? you have to try to see if it fits.
