  1. well, you can call it a christmas present. I got a pair new Italian Sonus Faber loudspeakers. Very beautifull finished with leather and black gloss.
  2. mike, looks like youre happy with it. How long before you start modifing it:-)
  3. The piston isn't looking that big, so a very long stroke? Picture from the crank?
  4. I think road riding will be improved. Talking from own experience.
  5. well, this is no surprise. The real reason can be that it's to difficult to get a new model euro3 certified for a small manufacturer. And no euro 3 is no go,in not to long for all new bikes. I heard in swiss, the current line is not realy certified at this moment. And since Ghezzi is gone, no new models have been introduced.
  6. I don't like it. Doesn't flow with bike shapes.
  7. Well i've been looking into high end speakers a time ago, I found a set advertised as if it was in london. They were to cheap. I did a google search on the advertizment text and found same text and pictures on an american website, 3 month earlier. I mailed the ebay guy about it, and got a reply, posted with a yahoo webmail account. In the emailheader was the IPaddress from the sender, I could trace it back to romania. I contacted the highest bidder to warn him, and send a mail to ebay about it. Ebay canceled his account. I kept an eye on B&W speakers in ebay, and found that each week there was an offer from someone just registered, claiming to live in london. From the text it was obvious each time that there was something wrong. I must say, there seem to be alot of fraud hi-fi offers on ebay. Sometimes they have a feedback history, with only 1 dollar buys. Or they set it to private. I have bought stuff from ebay, and only once didn't get it, only a buy of 20 euro, the guy seems to lame to send it. I have no problem sending money to people I don't know, but before I exchange some emails, so I get an idea who i'm talking to.
  8. Hubert, I had it before with british ebay sellers that they absolutly don't want to send it over the water. Seems to be something very wong with the british post :-) The ones in england that send worldwide I noticed were fake sellers from Romania. I see that often with hifi stuff.
  9. was this the seller from Aylesbury? he has a not to bad feedback.
  10. Hubert, You can offer him western union money transfer, quick and easy.
  11. It looks like it interfaces to winflopro, and VDSTS products they sell too. So no datalogging! Why they ask so much money extra for it?
  12. So can you scan it for me?
  13. these are aluminium things, don't look like holding a whole bike. Maybe they work, I don't trust it.
  14. yes replicas are build by sebastiono Marcellino. I heard it this summer at the trofeo rosso, on my website lots of pictures.
  15. I have a copy of the moto guzzi shop stand, only 3 inches less wide. With the bike on the stand it didn't feel that solid. Now I have put the wheels further apart. It's now very stable.
  16. He is not quick, so don't wait if you want to have something from him
  17. alu tank & tail? http://www.thetankshop.com/
  18. this was here before, looks like a griso/breva is made for it with it's alternator there. But if yoy realy want, there were 2 scandinavian projects featured here before that have a charger left or right of the engine.
  19. well Gary, that's why guzzi has a special stand for it.
  20. breaking the belts can make a mess, I know of people needing new heads to others that had no damage. Depends on the moment it breaks. Gears to the top is another option, but running dry? last option bevel drive? pre flight check, well: oils, nothing loose? Ask Arnold if the bike is ready to run. Extra battery
  21. NOT a 1100 sport!! But replacing the 1 plate with 2 plates, needs also the splinegear that's mounted on the gearbox. Because it's longer. But as long as you use a clutch that has the splines like the newer 2 plate clutches the one from v11 sport or le mans will fit.
  22. yes but a chain needs lubrification to last. Maybe a o ring chain from a jap bike? Then you need to make chainsprockets. But heavy, expensive. cheaper to replace belts every so years. Then better replace the timing wheels with a chain: lasts forever, is more quiet, and you do''t have to worry if the alu gears went in peices.
  23. so why that? I know a company where this is default.
  24. If it is a 1225, what I think it is, it has a 78mm crank. But easy to measure through the spark plughole. There are other points where you can attach an alternator, only the frame might be in the way. I have once seen a german guzzi that has a charger with a belt around the flywheel. But that one had a tonti frome, so the spine wasn't in the way.
  25. well carl, a 4v engine has 78mm stroke stock. And 1225 is nothing else as 100x78mm. What I know is that for 82mm, dynotec used a cosworth crank in his Guzzilla. And in the end, even that broke. 100x 82 gives a lot more cc's that the crank has to deal with. 82 sounds like fun, and a bit danger.
