we had this before, but again: the blue covers are from police bikes leftover, they are used in the factory until the final stage of assembling, so the ones you get with your bike are undamaged.

I love those laws, as they have the lemon law in the usa (in some states). Is that used a lot to get things paid, or are the legal costs to get your money so high that noone does it?
-
The point for guzzi is that one way or the other, a part of the clutches weren't claimed as warranty. And as long as they aren't claimed, Guzzi doesn't know of a problem and has no problem. They have a bigger problem with the calli clutches and valve things

it's also for sale at corsa italiana for 6000 pound. 2kg lighter crank, not much left then?
-
this one has been on ebay, but 8500 wasn't enough to lift it oevr reserv. So a nice offer might make you the owner.

you've to little sleep last days I think, look at the picture from Jihem and your bike, what wheel does he have in front? The first sets G&B has been offering seperate were with 3 spoke wheels. The only time I've seen one was from the italian with daytona RS and alu tank.

Al, my MR thingies need 34Nm torque on the M8 screws. But yours can be different. I just did it by hand.

Now the most difficult part to get is on ebay, the gold fork legs. Painting your v11 in green shouldn't be to difficult. So who makes his Tenni replica? http://cgi.ebay.nl/Marzocchi-Nitrided-Fork...1QQcmdZViewItem

If you need crash parts, ebay is a good source, A complete le mans fairing was there this week. Further I know a german guy who took a balabio in parts , he might have all you need. That happens a lot here, bikes are taken apart and sold in parts on ebay. RSV Aprilias are a victim often, because of parts prices from aprilia. Why don't you do that in the USA?? If I see some very low new prices from overstock in the USA, Why doesn't someone take a few of those bikes and sell in pieces? There seems to be a demand. I just remember there is a le mans sold in parts from a mgnoc guy, look at ebay. this is one of his items, mail him? http://cgi.ebay.nl/Moto-Guzzi-2002-V11-LeM...1QQcmdZViewItem

So how many ways are there that it fits toghether:-) The le mans won't loose stability until you raise the forks a foot.

Goffredo, I hope they know that Norge is a make of fridge in the usa, so no high level name for them, more a houshold item like Zanussi. As far as I know there is a french motomagazine with real norge pictures in it?
-
Al, you don't need instructions for mounting handlebars, come on!
-
engine revs faster.
-
well jim, Is this the real thing? asking 60000 and only showing one picture, no history or other info. A new Marcellino copy:-)
-
front ones are easy to fit. ducati size is most easy, because the brakedisc mounting is the same.

Jaap has the rims, but if you want then, don't wait, I heard they stopped makeing them, so what's left is what you can buy. The lighter frontwheel makes steering faster, most at speed. It's much easyer to change lines in a corner at speed. The perimeter brakes, i don't get it. bringing a lot of mass to the outside of the wheel, makes the rotating force much bigger, so at speed the wheel won't steer easy.

looks like this inside. To build a short bike wasn't the main design goal with the Breva. It could have been shorther. What they did right, was to give it a long swingarm, since I have a long swingarm, I'm convinced that it works much better that way.

The v11 gearboxes have gone trough a number of changes from 1999> 2004 The breva1100/griso box is completly different from the v11 one. The v11 box has split the gears in2 , so 3 gears on one, and 3 on the other. the story is that this makes the box shorter. Now with the breva 1100 box, it seems that they got 6 gears in a row, and still not to long. If lenght is so important, in the clutch area there are some cm to be found. That was so in the old 5 speed box and still is. Once Moto Bel from france showed how much could be gained there in a daytona, I think at least 2 cm, maybe more. The breva alternator didn't have to be moved on top of the engine because of the lenght, but they needed a stronger alternaltor, to power abs and police communication gear. The brevas front wheel is far from the engine. The old alternator would fit.

This was more fun than the ghostrider 4 movie I just have seen.

john, were the bolts in the center still tight or not at all? The idea is that slowly these centerbolts come a bit loose, and then the end is near. I think this is at least nr 10 I know, but I lost count a bit.

well, I didn't disasemble the valve, so I don't know if all oil goes trough the cooler when valve is open. When it also could take the bypass, why should it flow through the cooler? So just closing the holes, will give no oil when engine is warm. I suppose, who wants to try? But don't complain I told you to do that.
-
for an educational note, I riped of the centauro engine it have, the oilwizzard. This shows how wrong things can go. See all the screws ( 7) in the picture. How much working hours does such a thing cost? The screws are only to close holes. Not to mention the weight. The whole oilpan including this weighs 4kg. I'm shure my V pan is less. But the oil goes like cold: pickup>pump>filter>valve>engine hot: pickup>pump>filter>valve>cooler>engine as a note picture is upside down. I would like to see if the Breva pan is better, looks better anyway. Ghezzi had it mounted on the mgs01 too.

I think the next years it won't depreciate anymore. keeping a guzzi 20 years is the best thing. I'm in the 11th year. I paid a lot, and sold 1 or 2 years later would have cost me a lot. But if the circumstances have changed, then you might have a problem. On the other hand you only need one that buys your bike, no more, so ask more, polish it good, who knows.
