  1. Cliff, for the ecu to pull the pin 19 to ground, some conditions have to be tru, fi the +12v has to be > 1volts or something like that, is there a block diagram/schematic of the ecu where you can check what these conditions are?
  2. Al, you're having a problem for 3 weeks and just now tell us? :-( Are yopu shure it is pin 19 on the ecu? because if you ground that, the a relay comes up that gives + 12v to the coils, a good thing, but also to the fuel pump and injection coils. And you tell us the pump runs?? If they connect their wire to the ground, you hear a relay click? The coils need 12v on one side, that can be checked easy. Also if that's not there. IF it is pin 19 that doesn't contact to ground there is a reason for this, the ecu is missing a signal on an input, so it won't set the output free, or is defect.
  3. if that is the case, put the axle in the wheel, and measure from axle to the rim on each side. That should be the same. But if that's wrong, it isn't posible to dynamicaly balance the wheel. The wheel will wobble then. And 5mm out of line won't give a pleasant ride. A pitty that you don't live near. I love sorting out these things.
  4. you are shure that the spacer between bearing and bevelbox is in there? We are talking the right wheel bearing? Can you see if it fails because it get forces pushing the inside ring to the left or right? Picture of the metal flakes? There must be something in the chain of things not ok. And that's not the bearing.
  5. I think he calls his cat MR Ginger Baker.
  6. The earlier models have a spindle that screws in the oposite fork leg. So you're not missing a nut.
  7. Aftermarket parts? hardbags and luggagerack? trottlemeister and raised handlebars? More usefull would be the first to drop the bike so someone can make molds for light fairing and tank/tail. And for racing it's nice to have a second set of wheels, to do a easy swap with rain tyres. But I suppose that they can be ordered as spare part.
  8. he is from this shop, so you can send him an email http://www.hmb-guzzi.de HE got the warehouse of the Guzzi importer in germany
  9. then I should have one:-)
  10. I was wondering why you did not change the top triple tree on your bike to use a Scotts dampener or for that matter a Ducati mount onto the top triple tree.
  11. alex look: http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...7969522793&rd=1
  12. guzzi engines are smart made, but simple to work on. If your living in rome, CP racing is a good place for service, from what i've read from the guzzisti.it forum. Well I don't wish you luck, you have that when you have the bike, so I wish you a lot of happyness with the bike.
  13. I think it's ordinary constuction steel. If it was better quality, then it could have been lighter:-). Now it's stong enough to put 400 kg on. The problem with these seat exhaust thing in the default tail, is that you don't have so much hight to put them away. .
  14. The seat is long enough for 3 people, but no passenger footrests:-), Maybe I have to do the single seat option once to show how it should be.
  15. Hi guzzibun, I understand that you are the one from the UK who got the mgs01 licensed on the road? Can you short discribe what was needed for that? You don't have emission laws in the UK? Picture of the bike in street trim? And let us know how it is on the road. The paint problem, I don't think there is a way to realy solve it, I had such an engine, with only 2500 miles, It looked so bad, the readrive was grey, not black. I just took all paint of. That is easy.
  16. Ben, the special thing is the front. take a closer look. No diving when breaking, fully adjustable steering angles and so on. Alan Cathcart has been racing a bimota tesi years ago. I think there were stability problems with the design. Yamaha tried a similar thing with the 1000 gts.
  17. Well, I didn't find things in it last time, but if some engineparts come down, it might be a good thing. Pete Roper can tell you horrorstorys for shure.:-) Did you find an oilline solution?
  18. Well, besides albacete, the number is used with guzzi daytona's more often in the past. Coincidence?
  19. I suppose you have to ask your dealer about it. If they are sold. The links to the files are deleted by me.
  20. I've seen the vyrus last years in Assen, they were pretty quick. It's a naked tesi, build with what was left from bimota. Now bimota is back again, they do it themselves again. You don't want to know the price
  21. well jim he saved it enough to get 4th place: http://www.supertwins.it/classifica.php?sel_camp=stw
  22. there was also a duc 749 and 748, and the big bore(744) sv 650. see www.supertwins.it What I don't get, there seem to be more classes, as I see 3x ladies on the winner stage. for pictures: http://www.supertwins.it/foto1.php?sel_cam...ctory=images/g1
  23. The thing where the relays are on, is mounted on top of the subframe, cant you mount then from the downside, makes +/-15mm.
  24. So I heard from raceco, after he quit racing, where in the end he got some parts from guzzi, they insisted to get all parts back, or send him a bill. Including magnesium engine parts. He was pretty pissed about it. But after a lot of years, they adapted his solution for the change in piston height, with using longer con rods for the mgs01, and the breva 1100.
  25. Breva 1100 Brian?
