  1. depends on where it ends how good the deal is. I think it's going to be to expensive to have fun with.
  2. the engine where the topic started with is a cali engine, look at the oilpan
  3. why would you replace one, because you beat it with a hammer to it get out? The cost isn't the problem of replacing two. The bottom one is the one doing the hard work.
  4. Well I looked in the parts list, it's not a seperate part you can order. Maybe becuase you can turn it, you can get it of and mount someting else on it. I have a aprilia rsv pump here there is such a thing screwd in. YpOur dealer might have an idea?
  5. No they are not. So you need the triple clamps with them, and make a steering stem for it. Also they are only 730mm long = 30 or 40mm less then the centauro forks. Depending on the year you also need other brake calipers. 4065mm fitting. So it can be made to work but nothing fits right away. And if it's the trouble worth for a showa??
  6. I think sporti 45mm, v11 40mm?
  7. Alex, It consists of a standard skf double row roller bearing, mounted on top. On the bottom, there is a conical inside bearing, the outside ring for that is special, it's selfmade with the center out of center. I had such a set for 40.000 km, then the bottom ring was at it's end. I can send you a picture if you like. I think it's worth it. You get one degree steeper headangle, and so also 15mm less wheelbase. I have, after 9 years opted for the dynotec frame mod, now I have two degrees steeper, and a wheelbase of 1430mm. That's 450 euro. But they are busy, so if you want that wait till the winter. Normal steering head bearings are 5 euro at the bearing shop. it's 52x25x 16.25 mm conical. Can't remember the number. So all options are here, only there is also the deas solution, but to expensive. And to make it complete, a triple clampset with shorther offset is nice. ( as the WP clamps I still have)
  8. if you want it free, take a piece of wood, cut the filter size in it, 2 holes for schrews and you are ready. Wood 18mm thick. I don't know how you call it, the wood with 6 layers, plywood??
  9. I think zebulon also has wp forks for sale.
  10. can be a cali 1100 engine. Smaller valves?
  11. No it wasn't. Same swingarm. Only the between engine and swingarm pivot there are extra braces with the newer models. The forks angle is indeed changed, and the frame is a bit extended to the front. I changed my daytona the opposite way. 24 degree head angle, 1430mm wheelbase. And still no problems on the road with stability.
  12. http://www.redmer.demon.nl/ledenonredmer.wmv on board movie http://www.moto-racer.nl/nl/mainframe1/cir...edenon-map.html height differencies, corners, it's all there. The grid was only in last days "race"
  13. Yes, the plan is to do it next year again. Safety briefings?: here is the circuit, and you can drive from 10 to 13 hour and from 14 to 17 hour : that's it. You are supposed to know what a red or yellow flag is. Outside that there were courses from 9-10 to find the line on the track.
  14. Gallery with more pics here: http://galerie.world-of-guzzi.de/categories.php?cat_id=67 Only the drivers hand was injured, nothing serious, only 3 times the size a hand normaly has:-)
  15. instead of spending so much internet time, the phone number is in ebay, so why doesn't someone call him to ask some questions?
  16. No the extended lenght from a shockabsorber doesn't change from changing the spring lenght.
  17. Mark. the weight gain isn't that much, but it looks half the weight. I milled it off the v11 reardrive on a rotating table. Just at the edge of the steel spacer. Guzzi even milled it further down, at one of the first msg01 prototyps
  18. That's why I use the guzzi center workshopstand, can use it with one person.
  19. here picture from sport 1100I/centauro/daytona RS workshop manual. The Ohlins aftermarket MG 127 shock for the v11 is 286 long, stroke 70mm, spring preload 15mm. The Wp unit has a 90Nm spring, if that is stiffer than the one on the v11 sachs, this will make a difference too.
  20. I suppose he is refering to the gearbox problems at the long distancerace in spain.
  21. fastest guzzi in laptimes. it's just this guy that trashes his bike arround like a madman. Only non stock exhaust and other cam in the carb sport with > 100.000 km. During last session before the race, the gearbox stuck in gear, we put new oil in, and it worked, sort of:-). In the race at some points he couldn't change gear, most painfull at the last corner, where Erminio was 10 meters behind him, and took the oportunity to win the guzzi battle. See Erminio 's bike in the picture. Fastest tracktime was arround 1.30 minute for a R1 in the 3 days, fastest guzzi 1.45. There was a 999R tested by a magazine there, 1.28,3 min
  22. I bet I can make a more classic looking guzzi out of a breva 1100. But so Guzzi can, if they feel the market is there.
  23. yes that's Jaap, and this is me. :-) And our fastest driver in ledenon: Superlouis
  24. jiffy= sidestand I din't make this picture, as i'm on my bike:-) Picture was made with analog camera. But there are pictures made with an expensive Nikon digital also, that look good. I make pictures with a sony p9, good if it doesn't move. Like this Jaap picture. Track pictures from Jaap are made too, but we don't have them yet
  25. slowness is relative :-) The Supercorsa tyres were used from side to side
