are you planning something? There allready exist 2 italian conevrsion sets, one from G&G http://www.gg2.it/ as used in the mandello racing team bike, http://www.guzzisti.it/saloni_eventi/C_I_S...oRacingTeam.htm and a 1420 cc conversion with watercooled heads. http://www.bigbore.it

I see that different, the taller you are, the longer your arms are. I'm 1.90 meter, and the v11 le mans stock feels quite comfortable to me. The Sp exists with different sort of bars, but roughly you can compare the sp with a balabio. I think the balabio wins in comfort, because the shocks are better, the comfort is better. Overal is it a much easier bike. The le mans with risers can be a choice if you want a real working fearing. You just have to drive them to get the feel.

Before spending any money on this, try out your idea!!, It might not work as you think.:-) You should study a bike from the side riding in the rain, so you know how the wheel sprays arround. The G&B thing is on the way, but to much cut away on the sides to realy work. Much cheaper is to use a flat piece carbon( or plastic/alu) just before the shock like I have. Size A4. When you mount a fixed part comming from the tail, it's closed complete. see picture @Søren: the australia is nothing better than a daytona, I've seen the bare frame, that's no smart enginering:-( It's just as heavy as a standard daytona, and geometry is also the same. So you can like it for the looks, but that's it.

well here it's a pretty white surrounding. But I have seen enough women of other races that make my heart go faster, when I only see the current bling bling videoclips...

so what's the point? this newsgroup is hate free for years.

It's not without risc Carl, you might want one:-)

antonio, read what he writes, he is talking about the wrench size, not axle diameter.

Jean Marc, I did a serch and found the topic for you: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4036 The stand is a bit modified sport 1100 stand as I can see. Looks a bit bend to compensate for the more lenght. In a picture that has a name like http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/uploads/po...91915_thumb.jpg The 1087 is the usernumber who posted it. And when you then do: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showuser=1087, you know who it posted. Then go to the "Find member's posts", and find the post

John, Anything that can go possibly wrong is discribed here in the forum. That also means there is an awnser to every problem. That doesn't mean it's a bad bike. It depends why you buy a bike, if the v11 is for you. Did you take one out on the road? I think most of the probelems people have are more or less production faults, so getting a used one that has done miles isn't a bad thing. I have a daytona( the grandfather of the v11), for 10 years, that has never let me standing beside the road. Only once when I was out of fuel:-) But you are not the first with this question, so read here in the forum.

DO I tell a secret that guzzi made a motorcycle with automatic gearbox? The v1000 convert.
-
yes if you look on my homepage, you can see one.( swallower) There is a dutch guy Eric Willemse, that made one for his guzzi racer years ago. He quit racing and there are now 2 replica's from his raceframe, with license! The first is build by someone else, in cooperation with Eric. The second will be Eric's that he is working on now. The other chainconversion was made by guzzi, when long ago bimota wanted to do something with a guzzi engine, the only wanted to do it with a chain, so the factory made one proto, that ended in a paris dakar enduro. And I got a spare 6 speed gearbox, that is now at Eric Willemse workshop, I hope in the ensd I have a chaindrive too, integrated in the 6 speed gearbox.

Your rack is original guzzi, it's on their homepage so it should look like this one?

more pictures here, a dutch motorforum went there. http://217.67.234.52/paul/Toverland/TL041222.htm The video: http://www.circuitgids.nl/movie/mmf-toverland.wmv

Because some people asked for it, (not here:-) ) I spend some time scanning the whole parts lists from the daytona. http://pauldaytona.spymac.net/
-
no antonio, there is a very secret filter build in :-) No this gives only the uploads that were big enough that the forum software has created an thumbnail for, and doesn't include the images from the old forum software that didn't create the thumbs. If I make a page of all images, it will take a lot of time to load. Plus the server then has to create thumbnails on the fly from thousands of images. Also all linked files aren't shown here.
-
There are a lot of images attached to messages, but you only see them if you view posts. So I thought it might be usefull to see all pictures on a page. I made a quick sample of what I mean. Look at this link: v11 le mans image page You find here all attached images from the forum that have a thumbnail. Is this usefull, and if yes, what else would be usefull to have with it? I can think of the name of the poster, and a link to the topic.

Well I get a pretty close map with it, from an engine with same tuning state. That map is procided in an big Excel file. Can be uploaded with a serial connection. There is an optimizer program with it, 2 lamda sondes. It can be had in one case like the picture, or more traditional look with rev and tacho split over 2 cases. In the one case type, you can choose tach big and rev counter small or the other way around. There is a digital display, that can give different things, switching between them can be done with an external pushbutton. Of with a magnet outside the case. I think it's a lot, but when you count marelli price & tacho's, that's also not cheap. Think around 1300 euro. + lamda sondes+ some cables. Well you can buy one:-) Zebulon has one:
-
his name is/was Charles Rice
-
Well this is a ecu topic, so I orderd a Moto Spezial injection. This one is build in the tacho housing. No external boxes, all in one. I'm going to make a new cableset to clean up guzzicable mess

Pete, are you telling between lines that you consider building such a bike???? The 4v will fit in the v11 chassis. For the frame the only mod is to change front engineframe triangle. then the tank has to be mounted higher, because of the heads. And find a place for the computer that is bigger, or use a cliff computer in small case. Get accident bikes to build one. Or a daytona with toast gearbox, with a crashed v11. Sell the remainders and it's not to expensive. On the above picture are no expensive parts used.
-
this is standard daytona. After the daytona, this was changed in a weld on piece on the spine, as still the v11 have. On this picture the font bolt isn't there, normaly this mounts a brace on he two to engine/gearbox bolts.
-
brian, I have that since 2 years. You need the whole rearend, gearbox, swingarm, reardrive, and a wheel with the brake. You also can use the daytona wheel, it fits!, only no reardrive. There are some small welding things to do on the frame. The whole process is documented with pictures on my website. Click on the logo in my signature. this is what you are after:

The plate is from my daytona, and was used Illegally to drive around with the scura. I never had a ghostrider assosiation:
