  1. Dan, What is your weight? I'm 83 kg = 182 pounds? , and I found the scura with standard springs pretty comfortable. Front softer than rear. I had the forrk seals replaced, while one wasn't 100%dry. The one who did it ( dutch ohlins importer) said these forks are the same as the road and tracks forks. Nothing cheap on these.
  2. Al, if you look at his history, you see he sold them once before for 951$,"buy now". So I suppose his reserve is near that. He had forks and these bottoms/brakes for sale, I offerd him 2000$ for the set he wanted 2700. Because I get shipping and tax on it, I didn't want to go higher. They are fitted outside, instead of the carillos :-) , he lives in Laguna Niguel, California, you can pick it up localy.
  3. Antonio, Jaap isn't there, but some sites don't like theire pictures linked. This is the picture
  4. I've looked on the moto spezial site, they just make 2 different types, 2v and 4v, I've seen v11 with them, so I think no problem here. They can be deliverd with an oil level glass, like on the gearbox. They cost 399 euro, or 416 euro with oil level window. www.moto-spezial.de So Pete for the windage tray, yours should fit.
  5. Well, I'm working in higher education, I'm responsible for the applications on 2500 computers, used by 15000 students and 2000 staff. You know I sell thousands of tails for the v11, :-)
  6. I just found out that ISR had desireable radial brakes. Only 650grams for a 6 pot caliper No end in modifying:-)
  7. Nothing bolt on here. These are 56/51mm mounting= new triple clamps. Not shure if I'm going to make them myself, designing on the computer is the easy part. Maybe even have to make new wheelcenters to get the disks inline. Are from aprilia rsv r 2003. Is the same as msg01 corsa But i"ve never had anything just bolt on. Or see it the other way: anything will fit.
  8. It was on ebay, I made him an offer first day. Much more $$ as the first one.
  9. The calipers are 225 eauch at http://www.yoyodyneti.com But you need road and track forks for this mounting. And they don't exist as drop in for the v11. I bought this one, with brakes today....
  10. If you fit a valeo starter, else don't. With valeo is a 8 or 9 gel battery is enough, at least is is for my daytona for years. So any 2v should do. Or you must have extreme tuned engine with high compression.
  11. the Ippogrifo has the engine as used in the spy aircraft engine. The question is: why didn't they use it for the breva right away?
  12. You know waranty claims can be a problem when the dealer didn't do the service?
  13. No that's no grease nipple, that's a place to get air out of the hydraulic clutch line. You're not going to solve the noise there. Is it not the clutch self?
  14. Carl, the front cover is from the convert, that had an oil pump there.
  15. rideability Al? My engine just rides like the original one, only it pulls a bit more :-) No top end power only, more cubic gives more torque, and that's what makes a twin fun. And with 200cc more= more fun. I have heard that dynotec has made some 60 engines like this until now. I haven't seen anyone complaining in forums about durability. But we don't know if makes the engines as good as Dynotec. Reason for the waiting in delivery seems that the factory is woried about durability. Maybe they didn't make em right. What the configuration from the legal version is, time will tell, if it ever exists. If you want one, buy a corsa and find a way to get it legal on the road. Depending on where you are that can be impossible. Then just look at it.
  16. well jm, then we get one, shure.

  18. Jaap, if you realy want redline, it seems the uk distribution delivers whole europe: http://www.redlineoil.co.uk http://www.redlineoil.co.uk/tandc.html
  19. Antonio, I have to find that road from lecco to milan next time, the only one I know is dull, with trafic lights. Which roadnumber? my advice for a road: go north to colico, then east sondrio, edolo, then at ponto di legno up the mountain to passo di gavia. passo di gavia: then bormio, passo di stelvio, zernez, st moritz, passo majola, chiavenna, back left side of the lake, to menagio, and over the lake by boat.
  20. Well, Göran called me a poser( twice!), and you, Gary had something about image. Sometimes others see you different then what's in your head. So maybe they have a point. And with the öhlins, now I've tasted it, I will do it again. Also when they were black:-).
  21. Poser? This forum is the only place where I'm called a poser, maybe it's true. If this means, that when I park my bike, and I enjoy seeing that people are looking at my bike, it's true. And when I had my 1000Sp, not so much people were looking. I put a lot of time in the daytona, and am very happy that I've been able to build my dream bike. A bike is for me not only a way to ride from a to b. I'm a technician, I like to work on a bike. I like technical solutions. And I love design, the italian way. The most "poser aware" parts came last on the bike, the forks and PVM wheels. The PVM wheels, were on my wishlist for 9 years, since I had the bike. The öhlins were a coincidence. But I must say, these parts were the only real changes this winter, transformd the bike in a great way. Much more as expected. The light wheels make the bike much easier to get of it's line. A nice thing in a corner. I realy have to get used to that, but it feels great. The forks are the first time I can notice any diference when I adjust a setting, With the marzochi it didn't matter how the dails were set. It is pretty soft, I think I go from 90 to 95 to get it right. But the almost absence of slip stick makes these forks do it's job so good. And ofcourse, if the price is worth it everyone has to decide for themselves. But for me if I had to choose one thing to upgrade the first would be the forks, because the riding fun from it. Not because the gold color. And If I had to pay full listprice I wouldn't have done it. Since I'm a poser, I put a picture of my bike in the Speedzilla forum, a place with no Guzzi content to see if they liked it. Look for yourself. Speedzilla
  22. I don't know what I should buy else, what was your bike then when you had more money? Guzzi's aren't that cheap that cheapness is the reason. Then I would have had a jap bike. You aren't refering to the american dream I hope? I will never buy such a bike because image created around it. And they are fugly
  23. well, the "in the frame" gastank was left after the first prototype. I don't change a gasstank, do you need to do that? Now the box has failed is everyone talking about that, easy. The 4V supertwin had problems on the track too, not? What is wrong is that they try it on the track after they made a series, they should have been to a supertwin or whatever raceseries early this year. Here a picture of the frame, no tank.
  24. The floaters from the v11 disks are to much to the outside, at least they are for the P4 calipers I have now. And the radials are the follow up on these, use the same pads. I didn't expect it too, when you have a narrow track caliper, you expect tht it just doestn't use the inside anymore. I don't know what his reserv is, I bid 950$, that is not enough to go above reserve. newprice calipers 225 $ each, fork bottoms 1100$
