I Hate it When Someone Else Worked On It Before!
luhbo replied to Mike Stewart's topic in Technical Topics
I thought maybe one of these pins (the fourth) shows wear or is bent even, something like that. Also you can adjust the neutral position of group 32 so that it will give a bit more throw towards upshifting and vice versa (now I think preselector is the wrong term for it, don't know how it came to me) Hubert -

Before you put it back into the bike I think you should check the preselector as well. The retainer should work with the shorter spring also, as it does it with the other gears, at least as long as the preselector rotates the drum to the position where it belongs for the fourth. I'm not saying you should keep the wrong spring, just check also the rest of the box. Hubert -
Yes. Screw them in so they look equally distanced and lock them. That's it. More is sometimes less. Hubert

Most of them are lucky that they can afford these I-things just so. How can he expect them to buy motorcycles, in quantities he does even? 4 Ducs!! Today's kids having real money actually quite often go for motorcycles. The whole Café Racer hype, Ace Reunion, Mean Fuckers, things like that. Who knows, some of them might become bikers after they're through with posing and self celebration.

Wonderful. Long distance Orgon Beamer doubled up with sparkling flashes reflected of a freshly and of course under rhythmical processes polished power chrome ball. Smashing! Alas, the full eso-economic potential of this will probably be developed elsewhere now, the step from teutonic seriousness to teutonic business bravery is just a small one. BTW, recently Larry Hagmann gave interviews to newspapers over here. Well, who's that 80+ year old Larry? But being not a duff one he mentioned in a sidenote he could well imagine that Jesus took drugs before he went into the dessert for 40 days. Great show, hit the nervs and brought him straight to page one and I guess also forced a lot of admins to update their no-no lists Hubert

Oh, I overlooked that. Thought the brake was the problem. Nonetheless, I have to pull in the clutch only when the bike stands still, for puting in the first. As soon as the bike moves a little 'airing' of the clutch is all it needs for shifting. You can't do even such small and easy movements now? The Aprilia Mana then might be the right thing. A friend had one while his stupid dealer was trying to sort out the recall isues on his Stevio. He really liked it - despite he already knew his new Stelvio then. Hubert

Heck, it's in Scotland, and it's winter. Hubert

No braking with the clutch. His idea was more like installing something like the old Guzzi Integral Brake system I think. It's quasi standard on newer bikes again. You only brake with the foot pedal which goes on one front disk and to the rear one. The clutch stays on the left and the brake lever then is for emergency only. Hubert

Oh, those Orgon Beamers are great stuff. They're part of today's standard equipement in nearly every post-progressive household. The best thing with them is: Gene orders and you needn't deliver even. Just point it in his (general) direction and shake the right balls (those tiny white ones I mean) while he's on air, too. They lost a bit of their aura now with the old CRTs vanishing, balancing them on the edge of an actual LCD instead just doesn't produce the same basic mood. Pity. Is that why you sell your's? Hubert

Another one 35/30 A (haven't checked the dims, but they should fit) After you've got new ones, open up one of the old ones. Being familiar with them won't hurt.

Looks as if you have a serious ground problem. Hubert

Good luck, indeed, the more as on a LeMans the fairing follows the tank outline quite closely. The Tankshop tank looks splendid, but what if it comes out 5mm wider or narrower? On the other hand, you probably could anytime resell it. Hubert

I can't imagine anyone wanting something different from what you show off. 'like it' The Alu-Tanks.de just is no photographer at all. And don't mention the exhaust. Hubert

Cool blue inside engine illumination Hubert

Who says he's stuck in Crete? The below could be another hint, this time leading to India: http://www.thefuelenergizer.com/ Even clicked on the 'Donate' button, too late obviously.

What do you ride that for?
luhbo replied to PeteTW's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
At least he felt that there is more behind doing it on an Guzzi than just moving another motorcycle. Hubert -
That was my thought, too. Is it really bent? The swing arm looks really weird and 'pre-bent', if you like, especially when you see it the first time naked. The mudguard on the other hand is probably very hard to break, being made of rather soft stuff. The bike would have been looking quite strange with a swingarm bent that much. Hubert

machine le mans from matt machine on Vimeo. There's probably no need to explain it, what he he does, to the people breed by the continent he lives in. For me this video seems to be the most "My Guzzi" one I've seen so far, actually at least. Maybe a bit more silence before and especially after the event. Hubert

Don't have the number, sorry, but how much shall it cost? Is it a similar thing as with the TPS (40 USD to 250 min.)? Hubert

Taken off already. But don't mind. Hubert

The flywheel should hold only the magnets... and the magnets should hold nothing else of what comes near to them Jaap, do you have a picture of the Centauro which you're going to sacrifice, only for your personal fun if I might add? Hubert
-
You could go one step further even if you consider how much faster the magnetos would cross the coils, and how many more coils could be placed around the rather big flywheel/magneto holder. On the other hand, you don't find such a system in cars actually. What are the downsides then? Hubert
-
I already noticed that new line in your profile. 1225cc is a word, in fact. Why dont you call it Berzerk instead? It's a pity that those new engines don't fit into the V11 frames (if Jaap is right at least). Anyway, have fun, both of you, with your projects. I wish I had a 4-valve, too. Hubert
