  1. That's the only culprit. Compared to what they cost this makes them rather useless. For me at least. Nevertheless, sound and look are the real thing. If you buy them, be very carefull with those most cheapish mounting clamps coming with the kit. If you aren't they will bite their way through the cans faster than you can look. Hubert
  2. now that's one interesting idea. How does that work? hubert

check out NGK. They offer similar cables, I think. Those that you have (OEM) are one piece things, no separate caps. hubert
  5. Naw, they're in love. The picture proofes it. hubert

Sitting here, reading your posting while Ian Anderson's Heavy Horses runs in the background - why did I think your writing from England Have fun with your V11 Sport. It's the real one, the more as you have a real exhaust on it now. hubert
  7. No Superglue here, it's much too brittle and also not very fuel resistant. Get yourself a 2-component epoxy glue (over here I prefer Uhu Plus 300), preferably a slow curing one, and it will bring you through more than just one raceday. Heat makes them cure pretty fast and also improves their strength. HaydnR's find looks like a real hack, btw. hubert
  8. No problem here. PM me if I can help. hubert

    Good deal?

This shop seems to be worth a visit anyway: I wouldn't know which one I'd prefer
  11. Not in a previous one. They then wouldn't have mounted him on Italian bikes in his actual one.
  12. THX. It's 16 colors what makes this effect.
  13. The Lambda probe, should you have one, says that removing the snorkels reduces airflow. Or, in other words, reduces power output. Holes in the airbox cover on my bike had no influence at all, besides that the box was onerously loud. Basically it depends on your acception of the bike. If you find it better pulling or performing with those modifications then they are good for you and the bike. Otherwise go back to OEM configuration. It's not a bad one either. hubert

...come on, something with apples might be, but obviously soure I'd say for the rest I'm with KB, the old wings were more oldstyle, or classy if you like. With the new one one could sell bling as well.

The picture itself is not the problem, not the face and not the general look. The beer is the offense. hubert
  16. The light is rather senseless anyway. today, in heavy rain, and probably for the next few days, it was on 'till 3000. Never mind, voltage is ok nevertheless. A nailed 14.1. Others are coming without that light right from the drawing board. hubert
  17. Try the screw marked green and make sure the bushing marked red hasn't come loose, too loose. hubert
  18. Try this link: Belfast's pics
  19. Easy. Careful observation. We do this with dull bread, and somehow each time the bread comes out nearly as crisp as it was the day before. Works with regulators, too. At least in case you're lucky.
  20. Take the regulator and keep it in your (wife's) oven at 100/120°C for at least 1 hour. It worked for mine, once. Alas the gen. light still works only after it's own rules BTW, a regulator like your's (17V) will ruin not only the bulbs on your bike but also the not so cheap battery. You better check for any incontinencies inside the tray, below the battery. Hubert
  21. Should you really try to check the readings of your TPS (after having sorted all possible mechanical issues) you should: - not use a digital unit. It's useless. You cannot interpret running digits, but you could at least hope to interpret a waving hand/pointer - not measure resistance. The signal is voltage, and sticking to the correct signal eliminates other possible faults in your work - not give too much on the results you achieve by "slowly turning the wrist". A worn TPS can give readings being only a few degrees behind the correct values, causing lean conditions. You can indentify a "dead" TPS this way, no problem, but normaly such fatal faults are well beyond "compromising the driveability". Hubert
  22. The TPS is of cheap quality. Mine quit at around 50.000km, with the above mentioned effects. Get a new one from HD/Buell for about 40 Euros and try it out. If it's not the reason you could easily resell it here. To me for instance as I have another 70.000 on mine in the meantime. Hubert
  23. Isn't that the bit where you have to take care of little o-rings? Hubert
  24. Great fun, your pics, as always. Hubert
