  1. "LaUERDA"? hubert
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR4vTk6UVNs Of course I do hope that besides the Virtual Guzzi World thingy his privat situation is as he likes it to be. Hubert
  3. I'd do the same I have an old Nuerburg test somewhere: 27PS(HP) at the wheel, 174 km/h with driver flat, chin on tank. Now the other push bike featured under this thread actually sports 48HP. That's the point. Because once the "genuine Guzzi" 750S/V7 Sport wonder weapon produced 52HP. Hubert PS: the one in the picture perhaps was a 500 even, I'm not definite about it.
  4. For that much you can get a lot from your trusted welder The basis could be an old X-over from ebay, the rest is rather straight forward then. Hubert
  5. No problem to get them - in case you have 900 Euros left over. They make top end a pain btw. Hubert
  6. You're right, why should he. It's been a 3,5 only. The only good thing with those is that they are so low, making it easy to put the feet down for pushing when you try to overtake someone on a motorcycle. Fortunately his manners allow him to ignore his dads education from time to time, the result being this time a sneak shot from the other side: Or those:
  7. A photo shooting on the Racer, no helmet allowed, thx! Those two modded V7 were, you might have guessed it, british by the way. Hubert
  8. Ha ha, felt it coming, somehow. Have you no principles? Anyway, remove some of the, I have to admit, faggy "accessoires" and it will make for a pretty basis. Haven't you seen this one yet? It seems there is some market for bikes like that. Probably not all of those wannabe Mean Fuckers youngsters have the cash to afford and maintain the old english classy crap. Yet they know if they buy plastic it should have a classic name on it leastwise. Hubert
  9. What exactly are you trying to say? You act like a horned hubby somehow Hubert
  10. Come on, the bike is not that bad. It isn't bad at all. My first Goose was a 750S, bought 82, not really a light part then and blessed with some really smashing 52PS. Flat out, me laying flat also, I remember to have reached a 200 on the clock once. It's all relative. No need to bash the new one every now and then. Looking at the second picture I'd even say the times haven't changed at all. The green one sports clip-ons, loud pipes, a small fairing. The black one behind is custom painted, using the one and only ever fresh color scheme a 750 should have. People buy them, take care of them, adjust them to their needs and, most of all, have fun with them. Hubert
  11. So it's taken from an early motorcycle, like a tankbadge for instance?
  12. Any hidden errors in these pictures or is just the good old "The Times They Are a-Changing" story? Taken in Collenberg this year by my 20 year old son, he found them worth a shot. Sensitive, isn't he Hubert
  13. I see not much difference between OCC and all I've seen so far from this ACE thingy. It's both a fake, commercially motivated from A to Z. Don't know what those Yuppies think if they see these ACE oldtimers (wannabes ?) holding their few left teeth at the camera, remembering the "Great Times". It's some strange reenactment, really. Don't get me wrong, I always like a nice old or nicely done new bike when I see one. Watch the preview again and watch how much bike and how much inking, silly grim faces, bitched-up girlies etc. they think a proper ACE related film should contain. Hopefully there will be a bit more of bikes once the broadcast has started. If you know the original of the coarse fake above then you might see what I mean, maybe. Hubert
  14. I've seen badges with typos even, what of course shall not make this example less interesting. The "V" rather belongs to the Southern Pride, if may throw this in. Could it be that it's been an after market product at its time already? Hubert
  15. In case you're of the type that wears jap jeans from 250$ upwards, then maybe. Hubert
  16. Get them to repair it or at least pay for the parts and then search another dealer. What they've done is not a minor fault. Hubert
  17. Nice Ponies?! Hubert
  18. I doubt whether this will trick. The can is opened ... Hubert
  19. The crank check is a clever idea. Not so clever an idea is to let the unit hang at the battery during winter time. At least it will give an alarm once it has sucked empty the battery. Hubert
  20. Good starting point for some longer discussion I'd say. The word in question is "bad". Alas, as I have my ears plugged nearly all the time I'm on the V11 I'll not be able to contribute too much to it This said I must admit that last year I nearly opened the engine, to renew all its sealings, look at the valve train, things like that. But then, during winter, it's cold outside, inside the shed as well. Fortunately the spare heads I have on the shell for two years now don't age. Hubert
  21. Mine lasts 120.000km so far. I can't say how long it will, should I guess I'd say forever. A bigger issue is probably its lengthening, uneven lengthening even. Under this aspect 120.000 is enough I think. Hubert
  22. #5, #5, #5...? It kost me some days to come behind what you meant. No, not Coco #5. Instead I put in a mouthfull of this stuff from time to time: Let the good times roll Hubert
  23. Fuel leftovers, water, things like that. The intakes are seldom dry. Could be oil as well, the valves aren't sealed, but what's the problem then? Does your engine need oil? How much? Hubert
  24. You confused us with the incontinentals I guess. Besides that it would mean a real pain to carry them to the next forum's meeting, in DK for instance. The meeting itself then would be worth some pictures, that's sure. "We're Briish, I say. We're the ARSE Team." Priceless if you could grab this onto a video. Hubert
  25. The given link was only 2 months old. That's what made me wondering. To prove you're the same you could describe a typical day from two months ago. As an aside, does anyone know whether someone's started a V11 blog so far? Twitter? Hubert
