  1. BelfastGuzzi once posted an interesting link: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16004 Does anybody know what happened to him (not to the link ofcourse)? Hubert
  2. Those Blackies are Beauties (motorcycle this time )! Everytime I see one I think so. Hubert Edit: reading the above the second time I think I should mention that the above should by no way imply that you're an ugly one
  3. I know a 1,95m guy who swears on Buell pegs. For him this works with original brake and shift levers even. It's described here already. Hubert
  4. Fuel pump?
  5. Sorry, Orson, didn't want to give you a chance to react offended. My fault. In fact I was just wondering who else here on this forum could claim to have seen, to have spoken even to Benito. Next time I'll try to find a matching sketch to avoid any chance of disinterpretation. Promissed. Hubert
  6. Come on, how old are you guys?
  7. Anal bound anyway... Hubert
  8. Ok, that's what they call it. The dictionary says the same, basically at least. I just still have the feeling, as I'm not an English native speaker perhaps, that a washer is something you put under a nut or a bolt's head. This part on my bike at least looks polished and hardened, so I guess it's rather what leo calls a "thrust ring" or "sealing washer". One could call down the whole thing as anal-talk, I nevertheless find two things (at least) worth to be mentioned: it's usually not a cheap 20 cents washer and, if you compare it with the pictures, the inner diameter has to be bigger than 25mm. This ring, the one shown as #33, is part of the bearing, sitting ON the inner race, not in front of it. It's not part of the swingarm or the axle. That's why I doubt that these rings are missing on certain bikes, unless the AO or often berated PO has lost it. Hubert
  9. What is shown as #33 in the diagramms is not a washer. It does not have a inner diameter of 25 and it is not 1.5mm thick. While changing from Pilot Road 2CT to BT 023 I took three photos to show how it looks on V11s especially built for the European market. Those built for this forum might look different, of course! As it looks assembled: The part you guys call washer: And the "gap" before tightening up the axle nut: Hubert
  10. In fact I wouldn't use a knife again for that, had to buy a new cap after that. Instead take a longer iron and gently push it out from the underside. Warming the cap up a bit wouldn't hurt either. Hubert
  11. Nicy nice, me Jaap. But, what will happen to all this here once you've got married? Hubert
  12. Docc, could you get this washer onto your bike in the meantime? How did it fit? Hubert
  13. Sigh...
  14. In fact I'd rather call it "boor dropings" Frost heaves are seldom, and then they fortunately don't pop up overnight. Last week was not that bad btw., could have been in spring even. Hubert
  15. Could you make a steel tank as well? Hubert
  16. Hm, it seems it was meant for the dealers, not for the owners  At least it looks as if they now have recognised a difference between a "dealer" and "mechanic" Hubert
  17. I'll better bring along enough of my own cigarettes next time we meet, Soren
  18. Tell us something about Mandello. How does the park look actually? Is it completely new? Have you seen light in the halls, Guzzis going out and in? ... Hubert
  19. Have you put it in already? As you describe the part I'd say they've sold you an US Only version, once again Hubert
  20. Could it be one of those: SNSH35,5X45X0,5 or SNSH35,5X47X0,5? You probably won't get them for -.75 and I'm not sure whether you really have lost them. Both of you. Hubert
  21. Before you go to hollidays/vacancies you should make one thing very clear next time: be sure your trip is without internet, without mom and dad, without any forums! That's an important part of the therapy: no net nor any double floor. Just sun, fun and the bike. Trust her. Hubert
  22. Thanks for the feedback, Guzziman. Hope you'll get some fun now out of the rest of the season. They say we should get a wonderfull October now .... Hubert
  23. Well, at over 35°C one might think winter were an option. Then, if I think of frozen nostrils I'd rather vote for the first scenario - just in case someone would ever ask me. Anyway, it's not the snow that actually calmes me down. It's the red marked bits which actually make the magic of fall for me, or better the magic of not to fall, especially when I commute early and late the day. These bits btw. are not the hooters of any slowly rising winter godness... Hubert
  24. Come on, they'd rather pay us - just for having been shown the bright path you're on on a real motorcycle In fact, some of us would never have brought a knee down on the tarmac in case they'd ridden something different ... Hubert
  25. These Suzuki girls, are they a fixed ingredient of the V11LeMans meetings now ? Hubert
