  1. Was it Rosso Puro maybe? www.rossopuroitalia.it Or the Rizoma TP016 / TP017? Look under "Universal". BTW, Rossopuro is crap. Their caps are unvented. Hubert
  2. Jens, no affront against you personally implied here, not really. We have never met. The argumentation is lame, that's it. Have fun with your new environment, thanks for the watch and all the best for you, too. Hubert
  3. You buy this kind of bike and simultanously lament that Guzzi has nothing sporty enough what would suite you? Not only that, you imply that Piaggio forced you to buy a different brand, to leave Guzzi behind you? Come on. Are you serious? I rather believe you were through with them so or so. But what makes you think you had to search such lame excuses for your decision? "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark" I'd quote. Hubert
  4. Do follow the link which Raz provided you. Good link, btw. Hubert
  5. I guess you'll be swapping relais still next year. Have you checked the phase sensor? Do you have a Guzzi shop in your next neighbourhood (speaking Guzzi 50 miles would be quite close ) Hubert
  6. Stradas don't make more than 5000 on my bike / my style. 5000 km! 10.000 miles is some word, really! The guys here actually are quite enthusiastic about Pilot Sport 2CT front and Pilot Road 2CT rear. This combo promises about 10.000 km, still far away from 10.000 miles. Hubert
  7. Google for Ohms Law. 75Ohm/2Watt might do. But be carefull, electronics is not my business. Hubert PS: don't buy the thermistor. The problem is the LED. Edit: on third and fourth thought I think it's more complicated even. A bulb is a thermistor/varistor itself, you can't replace it in this case by just putting in a standard resistor parallel to the LED.
  8. Put the bulb back in and it will work again. Or put in an apropriate resistor parallel to the led and it will work also. Basically this sensor works pretty much the same like an indicator relais. At least on my bike. It's an european version. Don't know what they sold into your part of the world Hubert
  9. Here you find the TPS and typical specs. And give me picture of what you guys think is an opened unsealed TPS. You won't find one. Hubert
  10. Well, that's one interesting approach Price it higher and next time I'll take two. But only if you cut the power output down to something reasonable. Godlike, thx .... Hubert
  11. Can anyone produce a pic from a genuine unsealed TPS? A pic of the one in question? Just curious, you know. Hubert Please, no picture out from a shop manual sketch/drawing
  12. Exactly, that's one of the downsides of this principle. The PC cannot address faulty or improper correction tables. It's been designed to tweak roadworthy screamers to racetrack use, not more. Hubert
  13. Discussions about the benefits of PCs for Guzzi engines are always led in an extremly controverse way. Guess why. Over here PCs are not used very often. They have so many downsides. Besides that, tuning an engine for a reasonable looking ARF curve may work up to a certain point, nevertheless that's not realy serious business. Hubert
  14. Don't listen to the above. Ratchet is talking bullshit again. They're closed, they're not designed to get opened and they're not designed to get cleaned. Hubert And of course something a bit cheaper than Fluke will do the job as well.
  15. Relais are a good start because they're relatively cheap and easy to swap, even for the natural butcher or baker. On the other hand, they are so simple and undemanding that it's most unlikely for them to fail every now and then. So, keep the actual relais and instead check the sockets resp. the contacting clamps. And get accustomed to the wiring diagramm. If the pump primes and the starter works and so on then why should it be the relais? Be aware that such symptoms could be caused also by a bad phase sensor. Hubert
  16. This starved brahman crap is ghastly, no doubt. I'd opt for Bull Terrier, or if it must be beef than an example like this one: And yes, you're right Greg, the 750S was one of the all time climax points in Guzzi history. Not the V7 Sport and not the LM1. 750S with orange stripes. Hubert
  17. Good idea. The GMG is down actually. As usual just a matter of precise timing. Throw in a bit enforced global warming and it could become a fixed event in Guzzi World. Hubert
  18. What a relief. Only a couple of cm. Not worth 3 pages of discussion. Hubert
  19. Ah ja. And then, why did they shorten the tanks then? That's what I'm asking meself since I've read your post. Hubert
  20. But then at 5000 the reserve should be nearly met I'd say. Hubert
  21. That's the point. A motorcycle factory is no romantic opera scenery. It's just money, money spent or money earned. And in fact all or at least most of the buildings were already sold years ago, guess for what reason. Why not move the manufacturing to Pontedera or Noale and keep some smaller things like a maybe expanded museum (remember the pic of McGuzzi) and a good merchandising shop in the front buildings with the big red door, put a dependance from the also sold Agostini or from Stucchi or both into the former race or test shops for instance and all would be good. Things like that. It's just a matter of having some proper marketing ideas if you want to keep Mandello/Guzzi alive and worth visiting. Hubert
  22. Roberto, you for sure have not been in Mandello the last 30 years or so. What you write is just not true, or you are blind? Mandello is a nice town, yes, but what you call a motorcycle factory is just a sad relict of maybe better years in the middle of the last century. Go there, the windows are broken, the roofs leak, the facilities stink and so on. There is nothing left but romantic memories. Memories of dreams we may have dreamed sometime. Hubert
  23. I too feel right now. THX for this posting. You do have style! Hubert
  24. Bike is onroad again. Hubert
