  1. Shouldn't the upper eye of the conrod be round? Is it all the same on Jap bikes? How come it's came that long?

tried several answers to your addi puzzle. No one went through so far. Could you please give me an additional hint?
  3. Well, I see the crows circling. Let one brake and they'll go down. Over here we had the same. Guzzi too stupid to design even the most simple spring (talking about Gepetto the spring bender), then thanks to one of the forum Gods who stood up and roled his own suddenly nearly everyone had at least 5 wonder spare ones laying around. Then something strange happened. The wonder springs started braking, the Guzzi ones stopped to do so. Lots of crow so to say. Nonetheless, with this double wound, thin wire spring you should be on the safe side.
  4. Welding - an underestimated art https://rocket-garage.blogspot.com/2016/04/10-segreti-per-costruire-una-special.html
  5. Combine Ed Milich's words with the fact that anything what needs sinking of the valves is crap and you'll see that not much is left what could be done. There's one expert in Germany who's selling or at least offering his own 'broad-band' cams. Brutal torque right at the bottom, yet wildly revving up to +9000. He obviously knows how Guzzi parts want to be sold.
  6. As a funny matter of fact this so poorly designed spring does not break if used in any short frame V11. On the other hand, in some later bikes it tends to brake on a nearly daily basis. Poorly designed, does that mean a certain lack of flexibility then? As mentioned earlier I fetched a bike from Italy on which one of the former owners did the 'Japanese Coil Spring Mod', alas the Italian way you could say. He just bore a hole through the cover resp. the lever, counter locked a bolt to the cover and hung in an equaly simple spring. He didn't even cut flush the bolt from the outside, being behind the starter anyway.
  7. He's giving you that old Hawaiian Peace Sign. Why that?
  8. The camshaft is splash lubed, so a Roper plate won't help here. Have you taken pics of the worn camshaft which you could show here?
  9. P51 - to modeller very much hepcats' 'Saints' https://goo.gl/images/bGKFSi
  10. Would you accept them without a guzzi? 'Flashback https://flashbak.com/cover-girls-of-model-airplane-magazines-of-the-1960s-1990s-373222/
  11. I've seen similar statements based on a comparison with one's Willy, don't show it around, don't hold it against children etc. Quite funny these quotes, the right thing for those who can't see a difference between populism and democracy.
  12. It's interesting enough that politics must be strictly avoided nowadays, otherwise all social relations would go tits up.
  13. Never was a fan of Silent-Hektik, his banner made me think twice. Why not buy a magic cable or two of him ...
  14. Was wurde denn aus ihnen?
  15. I recently had the pleasure of getting 3 rounds on the works track as co in one of the yet to come Mission E Porsches. Nothing to listen to, more like a Shuttle start beyond the sound barrier. Pilot was the actual Nordschleife record holder. Having no grand kids I share it here instead
  16. Google says he's been seen recently. He jobbed as a war photographer, so he's still in business so or so. Looking at the video I have the strong impression he started doing the war business after that video. He's been a nice chap obviously.
  17. As said above. The stock part definitely is the best possible compromise. It fits precisely and it gives that distinctive soft, dark growl that most people expect from a Guzzi. There are basically two types, Stucchi and Mistral. One is worse overall, the other one gives a remarkably improved top end. Please search the forum for details as I'm using none of them.
  18. Sorry for OT That was a good price. In case you stumble over a 350 Boss for that price, don't ask, just buy
  19. Thx for clarification
  20. You get it? I don't! Why a "Guzzi Fest"? With sumerian beer? If the sponsors were this Hipster Shop from Mandello, then maybe.
  21. No cam wheel. Too complicated in my eyes. Just place the lever plate near the electric motor and connect it with a piece of wire, then pull the lever. It's only one third of the speed though, but you'll win a week or two when you can start the test tomorrow, cutting out the 'somehow'.
  22. Are you sure that the failed part was an original one?
  23. Did you happen to see who bought the red TWN sidecar rig and how much it cost?
  24. Hi Biesel, long time not see Thx for the upload, and, yes, it's quite a sad story. Besides that it's most satisfying to see such a lovingly made report about the Le Mans. I still remember that more than stupid MOTORRAD article where that annoying dumbhead rode it into the sunset, in 4th at silent 2.5k probably, driveling nonsense about clunky starters and clunky gears. Such an arsehole.
