  1. Your findings will be interesting, you know. I asked because I once ran into similar problems, but only at WOT, above 7800 and when trying to reach ARF 12.5, and, interesting enough, only with open race cans. In these regions those cans really make a difference. Compared to those my actual Ex-Box is delivering fuel Hubert
  2. What fueling issues did you ran into exactly? Was it at high loads/ high RPM? Probably, but then, have you already thought of rising the fuel pressure? Anyway, if you have to go this way this will not necessarily improve driveability for low load/transition conditions. Hubert
  3. Mind that, makes them sticky!
  4. At least me knows some that would not find it funny to be called stupid. Mine don't hear on me anyway. Hubert
  5. Most people, me included, say it's the one and only. Alas, the quality is far behind that. Hubert
  6. F~#k!

Einwandfrei, Ernst!
  8. Good craftmanship on both bikes and a twin carburetor on both bikes, that's all. Hubert
  9. I once asked to QD whether they sell any perfomance parts for the Ex-Box (outlet is much too restricted, means small) and they replied that there are no special parts available and that the Ex-Box was designed for better handling, not for best power. They sell a 2-2 for performance purposes. Visual performance is hardly to beat, in deed Hubert
  10. So will I On German forums you can read about that more often. Those people claim this mod would give a much better, softer transition, very useful in slow curves or in rain f.i. Hubert But what with Paolo? Hey, are you still out there? It's your thread ...

Ernst, could you compare these values to those shown in the Cam thread: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry136976 I think those aftermarket cams are open even longer, but of course this depends on the given measurement clearance. What values show the original cams at 0.5 mm? Hubert
  12. I have one my own, I can tell you you can't speak of a race or even performance version. It just gives a great look and an interesting sound, that's it. Anyway, performance is very acceptable up to 6000 rpm. Last year I was on the highway and couldn't push it over 180 km/h - downhill! The one on the picture looks either cut open or it is the catalyser hood. Belfast could know this. Maybe he's around? Hubert
  13. How many V11 owners and bikes do you know anyway But honestly, I've so far only read about it as well. Theory says it should be connected, those who have it so say it works better than without it. Hubert

Nevertheless this is the way everybody should do it! That's how it's described in the manual and that's how it makes sense. That's how I do it as well and this gives me perfect results. Doing it this way makes things easier as you've ever experienced on older carb bikes. Maybe only one particular improvement: after adjusting the right flap to the given value, synchronise the left one to it without having the rod attached. And let the bypass screws closed so far. Ernst hasn't mentioned it explicitely, but he probably would have if he wasn't so familiar with the whole procedure. The manual is the reference, not the internet. Hubert
  15. The pressure regulator is on the right side of the bike and not connected to the manifold. Connecting it to the right manifold will give you the one or other advantage concerning rideability, but most people don't think it's worth the effort. Hubert PS, one or two pics of what you are talking about might be helpful.
  16. Paul, no "Clip On", it's a classic, it's an almost original "Magura M-Lenker". Search the Dutch Zundapp or Sachs K50 scene, they still have them and pay really good prices for good ones. Hubert
  17. Of course Beuys had nothing to do with this bike. Beuys had the theory that every human being is an artist, able to creat art ad hoc. If not litterally using his own hands than at least with and in his mind, letting the things around him impress and force him to react on them. This little cutey obviously drove Ratchet to give his very best. Great, good and fast response, really. Hubert
  18. Fine, fine You've ever heard of Joseph Beuys? He'd sure had loved you. This bike's a masterpiece, thanks for you guys doing it the honours Hubert
  19. This here now is a more fun based approach, with perfect results under this aspect Hubert
  20. Cams requiring sinking of the valves are an improper solution. Sinking the valves spoiles most if not all of the effect that the extended lift should give. Just look how this changes the angles of the flow direction and how this influences the open area between seat and valve. What is left is stress and noise and reduced lifetime of the valve train. And some bucks for your "tuner", of course. Hubert
  21. I'd go back to the original one. Your cans will sound even deeper with it, less loud and top end will become better. Hubert
  22. To get the signal into the housing I use the now useless 3-pin flash or diagnostics connector. Now when you're in connect the responding pins with the three pins (or as much as you need of them) that Cliff has mentioned. Hubert

    My Le Mans is dead

In case you loose one inside the engine (as some forget scissors or spanners): are they degradable? Hubert

    My Le Mans is dead

...yes, dead, finally... In the end it was Antonio, with these gloves. I remember a guy who managed to mangle a couple of nylon stockings through his open Laverda. He'd put them over the intakes as some sort of filter. But gloves? Hubert
  25. Exactly that's the reason why most people tend not to believe that the cracks they see do go through already Hubert
