The damper was the first thing I checked. It had some oil leaking from it but not enough to account for all the mess. I thought it might have been the forks after that but their was no sign of leaks eather. That only left the engin. I took the gas tank off yesterday after work and thier was oil all over the front of the engin case and the front engin support fram. I've tracked it down to eather the oil supply line to the heads, or the big tube between the cylinders ( not sure what it is ) . ciao Z

Out for a small jont yesterday on the back roads of sicily. On the way back home I looked down and all over the in side of the fairing was oil. Got home and looked around. It didn't look like fork oil or brake or clutch oil. I'm going to look into it closer after work to day but anyone have any ideas? ciao Z

Looks like a nice place. I like stores that are owned by rides, makes you feel like they actually know what your saying to them. Kinda gives me that warm fuzzy feeling inside, like I just swallowed a cat. Sham that they sold that KZ440. My first bike was a KZ650.... really miss that bike . Had a lot a fun on it growing up. Z

Same here, I love the red/grey of the my bike . Now I just wish it was running.

And this just gets better and better I was just starting to get the spring in the right shap when about an inch of it snapped off I guess that only leaves me with ordering it. Are any of the after market springs mentined in the FAQ still avalible? Z
-
I've read the FAQ about reshaping the spring. The only hang-up I have is that I'm unable to get a measurement on the spring boss. I've been thinking it over and I think I've come up with a way to at least get a guess about it. Right now it's at 16mm. This is starting to become more and more of a rigged job Also the communication is a big problem here. Amarican in Sicily that speaks no Italian. Thanks everyone Z

Well it finaly happened (as much as I had hoped it wouldn't) I was on the north side of Mt Etna, (which by the way is some of the twistiest roads I've ever been on ) pulling out of Benzo (I think that's it) and the bike wouldn't shift out of 1st. I knew what the problem was as soon as it wouldn't shift. I told my buddies to keep going and I turned around and limped home, literaly, 55 miles to base doing 20mph the whole way. I parked at one base and took the bus to the other. It sucked let me tell you. Got the bike back to base after it had cooled down over night and took the side cover off to make sure it was "the spring". Sure enough, their it was just hanging there looking rather smug about it I might add. So the question is, anyone have an extra spring I could buy off them or do I need to wait on parts to be sent to me from the states? Ciao Z

I think the best way to discribe the Breva would be "standard" a word right now that, to me, seems to scare the crap out of most the companies that import to the US. Take kawies W650 for example, that lasted what? 1 maybe 2 years? I think triumphs the only one that still makes anything close to a standard in the US, which is actually a nice bike (some people would slap me for saying such things about triumphs ) I hope that the same fate doesn't fall on the Breva or if it does I'm really hopefull Guzzi will have something to fall back on.

ya, I think it was called an S3T. REALLY nice bike, sat on one when I was still dreaming of the day I could ride bikes. If I remember it was a little tall for a lot of people so the following year they put out a "low" version.

Just closed a deal on a 750NTX, guy was tranfering back to the states and couldn't figure out how to take it with him. I love these situations because it means that they'll do almost anything to get rid of it. (ya $550 ) Unfortunitly I've been looking around for a week now for info on them and can't find a thing. Anyone have any info on these bikes? I know they wern't inported to the states and that they're even uncommen here in europe. Anything will be helpfull guys. Ciao Z

Now if I'm not mistaken (and I'm still new to some of this) heat tape is ment to keep the pipes hot. Everything I've learned about themel dynamics states that heat will flow from hot to cold. Well hot pipes wraps in insolation attached to engine case in the wind, it would seem that it is increase your chance of "vapor lock". Just my Or maybe to many tonight Z

I've always used "romp" or "scoot" to describe my trips on the twins.
