  1. Is the m/c reservoir full or nearly full? If so, suck out some fluid. I've seen that be the culprit once, on a Ballabio (not mine).
  2. I know where they are: Kentucky. What special prize do I win?
  3. Mine's never broken and now has 25,000 miles. I've been thinking I should change it out pre-emptively.
  4. We're starting to get some good humor in this thread. I guess there always was, but now it's intentional. I'd be happy if the Dow starts an upward rise fueled by Ratchet Industries. I'm pretty sure the tally is not going to last, sadly.
  5. Only 11 more pages to go and we'll hit the magic 40 . . . Anyone who thinks for himself will see that three options is only a partial selection among the possibilities.
  6. 6mm
  7. This is the first time in recorded history that Dave and Ratch have agreed on anything. I would submit that a rational look at the chance that they could both agree and both be right is infinitesimally small.
  8. Let's not give up before we've begun. I'd bet there's plenty of power to be had in that motor. If you want someone to put in some flow-bench and development time, send the sumbitch to me. I can't wait to try. For all the added tech in that motor, it oughta be putting out at least 110 at the rear wheel . . .
  9. I weighed a bare G1100 wheel and a bare front wheel from an RSV Mille 2007 the other day. The Griso wheel was lighter by over 2 pounds. It's not a bad wheel.
  10. It's settled, then. Send the ohlins to me, and send the shipping bill to Guzzimoto.
  11. Yes, even WD-40.
  12. RAM clutches seem hit or miss. SOme last 15,000 miles, but many seem to be worn out in 4,000-8,000 miles. All you can get now are the bronze plates, and these seem to wear out the quickest.
  13. Unless you insulate the brass temp sensor, it will act as a heat sink, as G2G said and as revealed in this post, back in '06: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...t=0&start=0
  14. Looks like a bass lure I used to have some success with . . .
  15. Good on ya, Silver. I hope you feel great satisfaction in figuring that one out all on your own.

When I'm flush, Basil Hayden. When not, or for the 3rd and 4th glass, JTS Brown.
  17. I use right-angle valve stems. Orient them to point to the right so they're easy to access with the bike on the sidestand.
  18. Moto Guzzi Classics will know someone who's experienced and can be trusted. Do you know Mark? Good guy.
  19. I will. I want to play with it some, first, though. I want to get the Eldo to 65 rwhp and the V11 to 90. I'm too loaded right now to do anything but wobble around.
  20. Personally, I would have no confidence in them. It looks like the problem may have been guides (or worn valves), but they replaced the seats. What will they do this time?
  21. Me, too. What brand makes your sensors the most sensitive? Right now I'mm higher than a U2 after brushing bedliner paint onto my newly home-made flow bench. That stuff is HARSH.
  22. Yes, I'd very much like to see pictures, to note whether it's just a fracture, or if there is some twisting evident on the splines.
  23. Yes. The caveat "is said to" by most of those things stated as fact. I've put those sensor holders on DOZENS of bikes myself and sold maybe 300 of them, I have one on my own bike and 24k miles experience with it, and the only complaint I've ever heard voiced is here, and on one bike. That doesn't mean the complaint is spurious, but it does suggest that it is exceedingly rare. Based on that, I believe the caveat is warranted.
  24. Unbelievable. Automated censoring software changed the common nickname for guys named Richard into symbols. Let's try some other ones: shit piss female private part :-) @#!#$#
  25. Karl: Call @#$$#! Guthrie, the WA MGNOC rep. I believe he has one form his son's Ballabio. Number should be at the front of the MGNOC News. If not, I'll get it for you.
