    Dual Headlights

akshully... they're only available for the Ducati ST. I really can't decide myself whether I like them or not... hence this thread I thought they might give a Le Mans a bit of a Ghezzi & Brian look to it the round headlight, in my opinion, is the one styling area on the V11 that falls short. I don't hate the round headlight...I just thinks it lacks a bit in the sex appeal department

    Dual Headlights

I kinda like the look of these dual headlights Whattya think? Do they clash too much with the Guzzi's old school style?

    Nice Tenni Trip

Thank ya...thank ya very mush (Elvis mode) That would be me I also posted it here in the Travel Section.
  4. I have to agree. Italians seem to have a way of unintentionally making objects sexy...they set out to make a toaster...and it comes out lookin' like a Lamborghini This looks like something "Made in the U.S.A." not that there's anything wrong with that it just don't look Italian
  5. My Tekno bags split at the zipper seam on my first trip with them. In my opinion, I didn't overload them. They weren't bulging or anything. Took them to a horse saddle shop and had them repaired. Since then, they've been fine. Yes, they do expand but they're not waterproof. Not a problem though. I just wrap my luggage in plastic bags.
  6. When I was at Moto Guareschi, they had just received 3 Norges. I asked how the Norge power compared to my V11. He scrunched up his face and said something about "Euro-3 standards" strangling it.
  7. I don't really know which is more advantageous. I would guess that renting would be way less hassle. Less red tape and all the insurance stuff would be taken care of. While renting a Multistrada would be cool...don't be put off by beemers. I rented an RT1150 and came away extremely impressed with its prowess in the twisties! You can definitley enjoy a curvey road on one despite its looks If you're going north, the Picos de Europa area is a fine motorcycling destination. Galicia in the northwest is nice too. If you like castles, follow the Duero River that runs east to west. It formed a natural defensive position and was the front line in the Moorish Wars for about a hundred years so, it has quite a few castles along its way.
  8. I would avoid the south coast of Andalusia around Malaga. A concrete jungle of overdevelopment. A real eyesore. The mountains above the coast have some nice motorcycling roads like the one to Ronda. By all means try to make it to the Alhambra in Granada. Positively beautiful.
  9. sorry I never thought to take a picture of it. I did walk by their pits. They were handing out posters and Moto Guzzi decals.
  10. I was fortunate enough to have attended the 2002 TT. I was at Rhencullen when the Tenni raced. It was pretty scary watching him wobble thru Rhencullen (not a place you would want to wobble) as the bike appeared to have a hinge in the middle. I later heard that he had snapped his steering dampner.

    Helmet Testing

There's been a bit of a controversy since the U.S. magazine Motorcyclist published a story saying that...essentially Snell helmets were too hard and jarred the brain inside its floating cavity inside the skull during an accident. Whereas softer Euro-spec helmets provided more of a cushion for the brain by not jarring it as badly... or something along those lines. The controversy is still ongoing...even the magazine's staff is divided on the issue.
  12. Too late...I'm already back Click here for trip report. Had a great time other than a spot of rain. Thanks anyways for the info

    Hi to everyone

Wow That tank would look great on a Tenni or an '02 red & gray Le Mans. Are they for sale?

    touring

A tall lanky guy will fit the bike better while a shorter person might have to stretch out more to reach the bars and place more weight on his hands. In that scenario, bar risers might help.
  15. very nice!
  16. Jaap, I saw lots of caravans with NL plates clogging up the roads and slowing me down maybe you were one of them? You need to put your foot down and tell her,"this year, we take the bike!"
  17. My Tenni will pop when stuck in city traffic. Out in the country it runs fine.
  18. Polegato is right I bought the bike from Moto Guareschi in Parma. Very nice people. They treat me like family. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to ride the bike. When I go to Guareschi, I tell them I am Canadian. Very much scratching of heads and talking in Italian continued I'm not sure how they do it but, I have 50,000 km now so, I am happy. Maybe the papers are in name of Guareschi?
  19. Now I'm past 52,500 km / 32,600 miles on the original spring why do I have this feeling of an anvil hanging overhead? maybe you lot just have steel toed boots with no feel whereas I have the supple touch of a Mike the Bike... Surely I've jinxed myself now
  20. I'd just like to make a correction regarding the shop in Shrewsbury...Pete Jones Motorcycles. I thought I'd read somewhere that they no longer carried Moto Guzzi. This turns out to be erroneous information as they still sell Moto Guzzis. I can't comment too much on the quality of their service as I only had a new rear tyre mounted. They seemed pleasant enough and had the tire mounted and balanced in a short period of time while I waited.
  21. The memory of following you through North Wales is still fresh in my head. Those fast, sweeping curves are custom made for v11s
  22. what he said... sexy styling that must make Japanese designers lie awake at night
  23. Ah well...I didn't want to include a description of bodily functions in my trip report
  24. I hope to get back and do Scotland properly...someday...maybe 2 or 3 years. Still haven't seen Ireland either.
  25. Going south on Highway 17 along the coast, I began hearing popping noises from my rear end. I've had rear wheel bearings fail on me twice before so I suspected it was another bearing. By some miracle, I came upon a Honda - Aprilia - Moto Guzzi shop in Namsos, Norway who had some bearings in stock. I had them installed and never heard the popping noises again. I now have 52,500 kilometers on the Tenni. The only problem being I'm on my 4th set of rear wheel bearings. On a more positive note, my transmission spring hasn't failed....yet
