yeah thats what I'm thinking I need a different bike for different occasions not 2 of a kind. I'm leaning towards 1200GS(had only read about it sitting on it opened my eyes) but the $5,000 over the Ulysses makes me think buell. both are tasty to me growing up on a farm and learning/thrashing on a dirt bike. ultimately the HP2 would be really awersome but NOT for $20,000. I sat on the sport 1000, and the paul smart. I liked the paul smart in person a lot more than I thought I would and the bars were so low it hurt my wrist just sitting on it. The most comfortable bike I sat on was actually the Breva 1100, and most uncomfortable was Ducati 749/999 how would you ride that for more than 10 miles I dunno Its obvious that Ducati only cares about one thing and I am sure they do it well, but it needs to be rideable to. The ural patrols were interesting to say the least I didn't know they were $10,000 abouts with 50 year old technology but 2wd doesn't hurt right? thinking about it the Guzzi is kinda in the same boat 50 year technology for about $12,000 the griso, was very heavy-from just getting off the R1 aniversary to the griso might have tainted my views. thats all from me.

I just got back from the Minneapolis show, I didn't like the griso so much, but I really liked the Breva for comfort and a little bit on the looks, I dunno why. but they paled in comparison to my liking of really two bikes it came down to in the end, The Buell Ulysses, and the BMW 1200GS I want something versatile and comfy. choices choices, If I was going to get a faster bike it came down to the Aprilla Tuono or the MV brutale 990, same price sweet looks who knows and the MV rep telling me they have no problems what-so-ever now its all been worked out to perfections, yeah! I believe that when I see it. and if I go more sporty I don't know what to do, I suppose some test rides are in order this summer. the GS has a slight edge over the buell, but the MV and the Tuono are like neck and neck in my head.

I dunno about that, the army is still a volunteer effort. no one is forced to join. at least not in awhile. but politicians suck I'll agree with you there. Its not just america we're just center stage right now.

I dunno war isn't always so bad, sometimes its good to "thin out the numbers" so to speak. I only wish the ones going into war weren't more often than not the more noble aspect of society, why can't we round up all the lobbyist, DMV employees, used car saleman, "got the world figured out" college students or all those ppl that talk on their cell phones while drving but obviously can't handle it. put some guns in thier hands send'em to the front of the line. sounded like a good idea in the hitchikers guide.

ahhhh youre not typical, AND youre talking 80's I'll give you early 90's tech on the VFR but then again its a honda, sport bikes today as in now, a GSXR or a R-series yama, I wouldn't go near'em to buy at 50k mi. I would still consider a VFR they are soild.

hey, I don't care about nato, if that is even still around. the EU is a good idea but to make parallels to communisim is a bit skechy to me, maybe I misread but in the context of my reply, no one cares about the EU- Its a Non issues and thats easy to see.
