ohhh I should have a crap load of bodge points by now then but I'll try and earn them the right way.
-
Well you could add a gear box later and make that custom. As for cooling? Mount an Oscillating fan out front and let'r buck.
-
Well I am sorry for your plight and I don't know what the culprit could be I could see a Honda but Duke's can and sometimes do have just as many niggles as you ppl call them. And I imagine they are not made to go quite as far either. Tho I really would like a 999 or a 749dark or a 998 matrix....the list she goes on
-
yeaaaahhhhh but lets say youre not testing the limits of your tire tread I don't find them necessary Very nice looking in some regards. The replacements I got from joe look good(should have got the ones with the holes in'em) but I don't think they will protect much more than the stock ones did. if the prices was right come spring time I could possibly be persuaded to pick up some guzzitech ones if they had a smaller logo on them or an eagle some place.

for the Griso tho I like to see a set of trick anodized spark covers. Maybe in orange or green or blue who knows what accents I'd want to go for but changing out a bunch of the plastic would be the goal. I'm no fan of plastic on a bike unless its extremely nessicary.

Roll on for stability about 5-10mph pull the clutch wind'r up to 5-6K and let'r go. works on most things I hear
-
oh yeah well I aint sellin. PS that isn't really me. but it sure is saaaweeeeeet.
-
I don't exactly know what I'm looking at. I think I should but I don't. clutch? part of the drive shaft? I'm lost.
-
I just wonder how youre going to fit an air filter on there???? I say don't do it.
-
HAHA Sweeeet. I haven't done the velocity stacks but I like the look of only stacks on some custom choppers and what not. But obviously they don't intend to ever ride them
-
Hmmm I think youre onto something. Maybe they came in sacked everyone THEN said alright how do we do this now?
-
Oh I can warsh it with soap but whats a good oil to use? something synthetic? something light? something heavy? anyone? anyone? I plan to wash'em up and get the oil changed in all parts of the bike (except forks I know thats good) and find a way to grease the grease nipples.
-
I find it funny the damn things run better WITHOUT anything in the way of the TB's.... makes me wonder Hmmmm. just put a fluted Velocity stack on there and install a mesh screen baddabing youre done. Cause honestly I don't know how any craps gonna get in there and I don't think it will shave more than a few miles off the end of the life of the bike. I mean come on smoke up it only kills you in the end right?
-
I have maybe a stupid question.... how do you clean a K&N pod filter?
-
yeah but you probably have a 2000 frame on a 2001 bike or they stopped halfway through 2001 when they ran out? Things are crazy like that they rank most things in half years now my buddy works for Audi and they have a lot of half year models for them and volkswagon
-
I don't mind the can I would just like it better if it didn't have that stupid rubber-looking mid section give me a solid can to work worth. But I don't count I even kinda like the YamaWarrior bohemouth.
-
Thats awesome. I think at some point Jaap might want to make this a Full spectrum Guzzi site since we seem to be getting so many crossovers anyway. Well actually I bet he could just keep adding offshoots like the Tenni bungs. ANYWAY how the hell is the ride on that griso let me know mang!@!@!@!!!!!!

ooOOOooo Orange CRG's thats trick baby thats trick. I went silver I'm lame
-
I just like it for the looks and the sound it gives me. Who gives a shite about anything else. Look at all the old bikes that don't even have air filters I don't think dust particles are going to make my baby blow b4 I make it happen.
-
Well they did a test on a Dyno for one of the engines I Think Al or Jaap know which one Might have been for the new breva motor(but its very similar) Correct me if I'm wrong here but it went 60,000 miles at almost full throttle b4 it failed which they estimate for normal riding to be around 200,000mi. Coupled with the Fact that they are very easy to work on and replace compared to new bikes so you could buy a few spares and effectivly have the bike the rest of your natural life I talked to many ppl on here there everywhere b4 I purchased mine. Relays aside the biggest complaint I found was the Exhaust not holding up after or well after 50,000mi more as in a cracked header or rusted crossover So a few minor niggles aside (that this bike probably has sorted out considering the upgrades) you should have No problems for a long....long time. THAT IS unless you fancy riding around the globe 3 times on it. Then you might need a few sets of tires a new clutch afterward and lots of saddle sav but thats over 100k right there. c'mon I dare you Guzzi's name would be so huge.

As far as Mufflers go I did sooooo mchh research and annoying questions asked and for the money+performace+sound I'd go with in order If you want Ti 1)MG ti-kit 2)Leo Vince(no longer made) 3)Mistral If you want CF 1)FBF* 2)Mistral 3)M4 If you want Super Shiny/polished go with the Staitunes or M4's If you want to be unique *Trick* go with the Quat-D race (no need for x-over save $$$) I didn't list Alum rankings the bike comes with Alum and most want something different but if you want alum Cheapest set into new pipes would be Mistral Alum Rounds high $300's ovals were 5something? Anything else is good they just get to be so expensive I can't see them worth it without a deal found. *Only # 1 for the price ratio I've seen a little nicer looking CF or a little better build quality but really its so hard to tell unless you have better ones right next to them.

I have the FBF carbon cans and FBF X-over Stucchi and FBF are BOTH X-overs now FBF abandoned the H about year and a half ago. The maps I've downloaded for it are Stucchi maps but I still need to get a personal map made so its perfect. Also the dealer installed my pipes and had to 'Bodge' one of the brackets to make them fit correctly and one pipe sits a little higher than the other So apparently FBF really did COPY stucchi. As far as Build quality the pipe is the same material if not a little heavier than what the Exhaust is already made out of. Sounds great Runs great its great. great great great.

yeah I thought it over I'd have to make up a new e-mail address to consider it. I bet once he had mine he wouldn't let go like a rabbid dog or something. OR better yet I could give him soneone on here's e-mail address if I have any laying around. I could say I really need help keep talking to me no matter how many times I Say stop. Thats also a good thing to do to a buddy with a religious helpline say you have a drug problem and you need someone to call you 5 times a day no matter how angry I get. Then give them your best buds personal name & number.

or how about french ppl never will say 1) Man, I really need to take a shower. 2) I really need to shave 3) This american wine is really good! 4) nope we don't need any help with the germans either 5) We won! I could go on but I live in a Single trailer and CAN reach the fridge from the bedroom so I'm totally gone.
