Why don't they just put in Racing Triple plate clutches then you can just dump it all day long and not worry an iota (for a long while anyway) Makes as much sence as having Ohlins on these while nice truly is overkill.

It 'bugs' the hell out of me(couldn't resist) But anyway it really urks me that it looks like it would be so easy to remove the glass and repaint the needles and get any dust out of there but I hear that it really isn't. I wish the glass just screwed off. But if I had wishes I wouldn't waste them on something that mondane.

Anyone know what color to get from Color Rite for touch up on the Guzzi silver? I'd like a bottle of touch up fo ra few things to last till I get a whole new paint job, Next year or so.

I wouldn't doubt you can redline it or at least go faster in 6th with an open exhaust and airbox mine feels faster on the freeway and I've done just this I can't prove it yet but another Seat of the Pants observation. And I haven't gotten the bike over 110 yet Its me not the bike.

how much do these thigns cost and where can you get them in nessicary? thanks any help here I like them more than the stock ones No more fading no more jumping whats not to like , ... the price I imagine

I'll check with my dealer about getting them but they jacked the price up realllly high, Told me $1200 they are doing an insurance job I hope goes through without any problems but even if I get them to put in the Ti's instead of the OEM muffler on the one side is $550, So I would have to pay $650-$750 which isn't all bad if I wasn't buying a house in 3 weeks. I'll figure something out I don't want to half-ass it I know how that works you like it for a little while then you regret it for the rest of the time you have it unless you change it or sell it.

Anyway to replace the dials with an LCD of anykind for a possible future mod, or are we talking wayyy to much work?

My bikes don't have to be loud they just have to rumble. I love the stock harley note but its no excuse to sell my car and my bike in order to afford one. I wish the Goose rumbled a little better like it does with No pipes. if they could make a pipe that growls like nothing else or straights in the low revs and gets quiet like stock as you climb the counter I'd be on those like a fat kid on a cupcake.

I got good news(maybe) and I got bad news, The insurance company he uses took me all day to track down they don't do much auto writing so I had to call CA then NY then I got ahold of what its called in MN epic I think, The Damage estimate is going to be well over a grand I will look to see if I can get larger engine guards(tho I hope to NEVER have it dropped again) Also one of the mufflers is all scratched up and One OEM muffler is $550 So I'm going to have them get me the FBF Carbons and pay the $100 extraish. Other than that they are getting me a new footpeg, barend,both signals, brake lever, engine guard. I already talked to them about swapping parts and me paying the difference so it should be cool. I have a claim number and the dealership and the Insur Comp should be in contact now if not tomorrow. Who knows how long it will all take is the bad news. I like my dealer but they are Ass slow. Thanks for the Support I'm just glad its not totalled any other bike I would have prayed for it to be trashed so I could get a new one. But honestly I don't want a different one. I just want ANOTHER one.

If he has no insurance I'm going to get new plugs and wires and a new brake lever then just get LED turn signals buff out the straches as best as possible on the guard and barend and call it a day. The turn signals work and could be repaired I suppose I could just get new clear covers and amber bulbs too. Its not a worst case senario yet but its the worst experience in recollection.

SOOOooooooo I decided to go out for a ride usualy wednesday is go fishing day but The guy I fish with is working on his brothers wedding So I went for a ride. Went well put on 50 miles or more then went downtown. I was going to bettys bikes and buns but saw a chipotle and thought I would stop. So I get a steak burrito I have 3 bites left and 2 little asian guys walk right by my bike get in thier little red honda civic and procceed to BACK OVER MY BIKE and they gunned it I about thought it was a hate crime they hit my bike so hard I yelled at them as what the hell and in broken english he said "they were talking and didn't notice the bike they said it was low, too low" the car hit right in front of my eyes on the front left turn signal area broke that signal tipped it over kilter and it smacked hard on the concrete Completely broke off the Brake lever at the brake lever piston and smashed the Other turn signal, Scraped up my engine guard and my nice manic salamander ber end weight Also it bent my spark plug but I didn't know that at the time. I got his info and hopefully I won't have to pay anything I was only about 2 miles maybe less from my dealership I regained my composuer finished the last 3 bites of my burrito and rode to the dealership keeping the revs up and my foot on the back brake so I could engine & back brake together when needed. Drove slow and with lots of distance then once I got about 3 blocks from the dealership it started to run really rough is when I looked it over better and noticed the spark plug was indeed bent. I SWEAR TO GOD I've put way too much sweat tears and moula $$$ into this bike to let her go its like a second child I almost cried it better not be totalled I'll track him down and strangle him. Nah you can jump right in it depends on what you've done b4 I grew up with a 125 motorcross and 2 minibikes so I should have got the guzzi in the begining but I went for a smaller bike and basically wasted my money. Go for the gusto better to get what you want and be happy then get what you need and want.

Does this Affect every model year? am I affected with my 2000? I don't really know anything about valves and guides I'm fine wi th small engines and RC cars but I haven't done much with real 4 stroke engines I'm ignorant. Soooo if I have to get the dealer to replace the valves I don't want to know the price.
