  1. ok WAIT A TICK, when did BFG make moderator I should be scared and appalled, and when did he get his hands on a Tenni, I thought he had a scura
  2. that would be better on two accounts shipping would be outrageous and its better to support the local boys, no matter where that local is for you. As for me I met the guy who owns and makes Manic Salamanders at a coffee shop to buy my bar ends, he's local for me
  3. INTERESTED!!!! I usually use my Guzzi for the longer rides because it is so comfy if I had a way to move my legs from time to time it would be even better, sign me up lets get a group together for a run if we can

quite comfy actually, WAY more so than the 916/998 styles, similar to aprilia RSVR, I think 999 is a great bike and sometimes still wish I had gotten it but damn the price of maint. you know what I love about guzistas, we have a common love of a extremely outdated slow lump of a bike but we can appreciate all that the MC world has to offer we don't just stand on a box shouting Yamaha or HD till death, I don't get those ppl, I like them big I like them small I like them all

hmm, front end almost looks better that way than what they came up with.

the 999 was just way ahead of its time they should have done the 1098 styling first then gone to the 999 I think it would do better in that way, almost got a 999 before I got the aprilia, service fee's and average life expectancy of a duc made that dream go away, I plan to have a ducati some day either after a college course on MC repair or a promotion at work.
  7. yeah you need at least 10k for everything to be seated properly, then she's good for about 200,000
  8. hmm, I suspect mine was broken in properly and I always let it drain for a good few min, haven't had any trouble putting in 3.5ish in mine without smoking smelling or dripping, maybe something different with the years somehow I have no idea but my original tank was also over a half gallon larger close to a gallon in fact, figure that one out
  9. I want a JRL rotary, I bet its in the 100,000+ range easy tho totally a bike I would love to ride and accent to my larger than life persona
  10. HA thats nothing, Guzzi turn signals $28 each, EXACT SAME turn signal in EVERY Way made in the same factory, from buell about $4
  11. BFG, you must mean this http://www.bikernet.com/bikebarn/PageViewer.asp?PageID=912 a smaller more up to date version of this engine would be sweet, maybe not IN the wheel but could be used instead of the huge ones ppl try to use http://www.greyfalcon.us/Killinger%20and%2...0Motorcycle.htm out of the sopwith camel they say, impressive and yet sad it was that small and weak to fly an airplane??
  12. no, I believe the only actual running versions are like the one you show there, I did see one that was just a show piece but wasn't able to run for many reasons turned the other way, I would LOVE it if there was a way to have a smaller rotary, it would sound like pure porn star style sex on wheels, I don't know how you ride that monster tho, would melt your right thigh before you made it to the gas station to fill up, might want to live close by or just circle the gas station too,

yeah but I would be kept up at night worrying about the belts, valves and seals I wouldn't worry if the dealer service for them wasn't around $800 small $1600 big the aprilia is like $100 small $300 big, maybe $600 if I have them do the ohlins at the same time these are relative estimates and I rounded up for the ducs and down for the ape
  14. I got the manics, trust me, they're GRRRRREEEEEEAAAAAAT seriouslly vibes from a 7 to a 3
  15. yeah, well, we got better radio stations! lol, btw LOVE the hp2, wish it wasn't so DAMN expensive I'd buy that with slightly more road oriented tires in a heartbeat, great bike. lil pricey. although if I lived where you do I'd leave it and enjoy!!

are you reading my damn mind? I'm watching you basically ride the Guzzi on Fri-sat, commute on the aprilla and go for blasts on the guzzi, there has to be something wrong with me I would have gone ducati but I can't do my own work on the level of brianG, youre the perfect ducati owner, now just do that every winter and it might last. lol
  17. I don't see what he has to do with it almost 19000mi on an double ought and no problems, bikes on third set of relays tho.

    Weight

true, but its still lighter than the bmw I've test rode and the HD and the Victory and all the cruisers really, the V11 isn't a overly heavy bike at all and yes I was just stating my own experience with the weight and how it works for and against you the guzzi cruises well, the aprilia not so much, its a cafe cruiser she is no sport bike but I don't love it any less. also youre going to have to try harder than that if you want to catch up to the likes of me or BFG in post count
  19. HOW THE FUUUUUUUk? I see it but I still don't believe it, HOW? I couldn't imagine 3 ppl on my aprilia and its got way more room than that buell but less than the guzzi. damnnnnn. I couldn't imagine 4 on the guzzi either, maybe 3

dbl that sentiment, I've wanted a guzzi since I heard it in a cake song in high school and had to know what it was, then I had to have it upon finding it. I just don't like something because it is rare and/or odd, I wouldn't really care for a benelli or a laverda, guzzi speaks to me and I like what it says AND back on topic it really isn't that heavy but way to pick all the fat kids for you list pete, things always look thinner if you park them next to a fatty, with that said my Aprilia feels about TWICE as light, I try not to ride them on the same day as I throw the aprilia in too hard coming off the guzzi and I don't throw it around hard enough coming off the aprilia. they really are quite different and I likes it.
  21. too bad I already banned you before you could get a chance
  22. truer words have not been spoken, I speak from experience, look at my rides!!!
  23. its not all upgrades, how about the folks with the lovely front crossover, or exploding damper psh I think my 2000 is just great if only it didn't get a lil tank suck or ping somewhat on hott days. oh and buy a couple extra relays for you tool kit, they don't last forever for some reason.
  24. HA, so I was right while being wrong and it all came back around to go forward again, but wouldn't it make a better medium than oil?
  25. well I have the same problem actually, my 2007.5 Aprilia RSVR got in the way, its a lovely problem to have, it really really is. but in the future I need a more capable all day touring bike that can do more and not ache my knee's and arms like my current stable does after an hour+
