OH fudge me, if I was younger without the family I would do it in a SECOND!!!! I would BEG, That would be a job of a lifetime if only for a year and enough pay to barely eat.

I am in the same boat, as far as I know there is NO reputable dealer for guzzi in my tri-state area, I could be wrong on this but certianly nothing in the metro to take my guzzi to, I would like more guzzi's in the future but think that dare I say their names BMW HD or maybe Victory will get my money in the future. I'm leaning BWM myself, I know never thought I'd say it. I'm still a big fan of triumph I can't forget about them either sad times for guzzi, I wonder if they can even make it into the next decade

The Financial Crisis
DeBenGuzzi replied to helicopterjim R.I.P.'s topic in Special place for banter and conversation
I'm just really pissed because I saw this coming and I'm no genius, I had looked at some of the numbers years ago but didn't understand them that how can one investment company own all these chuncks of other investment companies and why are all the guys on the board directors of other investment companies, I could see with my untrained eye it was a big fix, pryamid, scam of a national if not global scale. Ultimatly I'm happy they're falling hard I'm mad its hurting the little guys more but personally I knew I was paying about 40-50K too much for my house and did my best to not overpay but when I bought it 4 years ago I had no choice I needed a house and did my best a nice 1&half story 1600sq house in the burbs for 184K which two years prior the previous owners paid about 164 and 2 years before that paid about 124!!! and today is worth maybe 140. some of my friends told me I was crazy that the market wont bust or it will correct but way down the road and I was like, listen, I make good money for the middle class at 50k and I can BARELY f'n afford a 200k house, how the F! can you expect average joe america who makes less than me on average to afford a 200k house which was just about MIN on any house unless in the real bad parts just a few years ago, 200k is no starter house and I was scoffed at, look whos laughing now, alllll the way to the bank cause those friends of mine have 300k+ homes they can't afford that are worth about 200k or a little less. but I'm also mad at myself for not preparing for it more, its funny I started going to college for computers in 99 and within like fricken months the market crashed, I buy a house and well I got about 2 years but it was starting to faulter when I got this one, I have terrible luck in life but life can always be worse I have a good family 2 italian motorcycles and a pretty secure job in alcohol. Heidi also has to pay cash on delivery, state law -

the term racist feels correct to me racist to me is "Discrimination or prejudice based on race" Every color on the planet does it, the thing I see so many focusing on it even in a attempt to be positive, I will agree with ignorant as it seems mostly white soccer moms that wont shutup about it like they hate white ppl and I am taken back to the man himself "judge me not on the color of my skin, but the content of my character", maybe I didn't get it word for word but I say enough already and can't wait for the day when his words are truly universal, I hope I live to see it. I'm also sickened by all the people that think they don't have to goto work, find a job, pay taxes or bills cause Obama is in the white house he'll take care of everything, I'm not exaggerating it either, the next 2 years realistically will be the most trying because the economy is still tanking and all the effects have not been felt yet. -
I don't need nor want to open it but I did hear about it, darwin awards come into mind.

come'on guys, don't make us shut down another intellectual discussion because some ppl feel the need to turn it into a pissing match, we're all friends here, who can agree to disagree on the things we often agree on even when we don't agree, are we in agreement? -
Auto Crap Touted by Mags
DeBenGuzzi replied to tmcafe's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
great story, ever mag does the best of and half of it is horse manure, I would like to see these for everything, cigars, motorcycles, resorts, guns, night clubs, you name it all kinds of crap gets good reviews and best of's because they buy ads plain and simple. I try to get a good value and something that turns my crank, not some wanker reporter getting kickbacks for tarting up a polished turd. -
youre too picky, get that one sand it a little, add some red paint in the background and you got what you want, just takes a lil on your side, shouldn't you be familiar??? you do own a guzzi, owner side refienment is expected, I think its printed in the manual actually

I can't thank you enough for that link, I had never seen anything outside of blurbs about the man and his vision and now I know that he was not only 20 years ahead of his time he was at least 50 years ahead of his time, outside of small run hand built basically one off motorcycles they still don't build them like britten, there is maybe only one person on the whole planet that visonary each generation and he was cut down way before his time. I also can't help but laugh that he was cut down from his true cinderella story by two of the very few parts he didn't actually make. and he was drinking a budwesier, thats my man

I would ride it on the road like a forum member or two has done on here with a lights kit, but alas I can't afford it, wish I could its my dream bike more so than the D16RR, I would think parts not TOO impossible to come by but how many do you need if you don't drop it?

Is that YOU on pg. 60?
DeBenGuzzi replied to savagehenry's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
I second that, I've never seen a lemans on the road and only 2 other sports and 1 centauro, and a couple cruisers in ALL my years riding, which is about 10 on the road. -
HOLY CRAP 1.38 to the POUND, I can finally start buying some crap from overseas again!!!!! it was over 2.00 last time I looked, admittedly awhile ago but I can't belive my freakin eyes.

I concur, nothing drastic will change, at least not right away or maybe even after awhile. I also don't see the hype of him being black, to me that has little to do with the chief socio-economic and political job he has been elected to, and if thats all some ppl point out, first black president, which is cool and good we've come that far yes, but no matter your own color, if its all you see then you sir are a racist, we're all ppl not colors. the OTHER thing is Rome wasn't built in a day, but it was ransacked and burnt to the ground in one, he has his work cut out for him to right the ship in whatever programs those turn out to be we shall see. I'm not trying to be pesimistic, I just like to keep as much of a realist approach to things as I can and nothing moves quickly when youre talking about the government -

imagine how awesome it would be in either a RC 65 corvette or in a kids gocart made to look like a real corvette, that would be friggin awesome. I wonder where you would get new oil filters for it lol -

old confederates are basically harley clones and having trouble with a harley WELLLLLLL thats a little different I meant modern confederates are hand built in that they are hand fabricated, they make or have most of their parts made not just bought out of a cateloge like those lame ass orange county chopper guys that are really more of a bolt on and paint it operation so I could just imagine the costs invovled of having a problem(similar to how guzzi or aprilia used to be maybe?), where as harley has everything you need on the shelf of every cycle shop on every corner. that has to be taken into account. I wonder if Indian will make it, I hope so I really like the looks and the heritage, its also not just another harley clone even though a case could be made, they did come first but these guys aren't the original but then either is harley *cough bowling pins -

DeBenGuzzi replied to DeBenGuzzi's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
uhhhhh, what confederate can you buy for $35? the hellcat is like $65, I mean I WISH my other dream machine for a street bike is the Ecosse, beautiful machine, gobs of money the new version is $140k The indian is at least in the obtainable realm, I did see a used older hellcat for around 30k but I've also read they have tons of problems being all hand built doesn't mean best quality, just ask any 999R owner -
I would buy one of these tomorrow if I had the cash, or was going to come into some money, This is a cruiser I would be proud to ride, I hope it isn't shite this time around, maybe I can find one down the road for a more affordable price and well sorted, but again if I had the money, but damn for this much I could buy a tricked out Big dog motorcycle AND a stelvio basically, if only, and call me crazy but I've always liked the simple yet elegant looks and its not just another HD, and I live in the very flat straight roaded midwest USA Indian is back(again) but this time looks like a real showing unlike the half hearted previous attempts with harley clones. made in North Carolina

Buone Feste Natalizie
DeBenGuzzi replied to Van's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
ummm, this be an italian motorcycle forum so I'm going to go ahead and adjust the threads title Buone Feste Natalizie -
One of my best mates is the guy the adjusters call to ask for their money, he issues the checks so he deals with adjusters and clients on their bills, if there are any questions youre unsure of or want to ask but youre scared of the answer because you might give up too much asking it for example let me know and I'll ask him the best course of action for you or what you need to ask the insurance ppl for the best solutions, not saying you have any questions maybe you don't but if you do shoot me a pm or something and I'll ask him about anything, we're also riding buddies and a few ppl commented on his black Triumph 675 and just looked past my sweet silver RSVR in the picture like it was chopped liver.
