  1. they're so backed up at the paintshop it might not be till june I'll try and rush them but I told them as long as I get it by june we could give it a go as I have my Aprilia and they're pretty reasonable and believe me, it'll look so good I'll probably change my mind on selling
  2. I like pauls solution, tho I wish I had half his money and/or dedication to pull it off. The man can tinker
  3. I'll bite, youre talking about 7 years later, A LOT can happen/change in I mean hell 7 years ago from today Guzzi was still Guzzi not Aprilia then Piaggio Guzzi and the lists are endless, now if you had said a year or two sure but that Guzzi V8 was rediculous and youre off by 2 years so really you're talking about a decade, in 10 years you could take a bone stock GSXR with some pipes on it and go back 10 years and race it in moto GP "The V8’s development was plagued with trouble at first. The V8 was first ridden at the 1954 Belgian Grand Prix by Aussie rider Ken Kavanagh but it soon suffered a crankshaft failure. The bike didn’t appear again until 1956 when Kev again rode the machine, this time at the Coppa d’Oro race. He soon retired with bearing trouble. Bill Lomas and Kev Kavanagh rode V8s at the Dutch Grand Prix in 1956 and after making the fastest lap they both retired. And so the sad story went on. Little things such as water hoses let the machine down." "V8 was able to achieve remarkable speeds for the technology of its time, reaching 187 mph at the MIRA test track in France. Whist still under development it was clocked at an incredible 178mph at the Belgian GP in 1957" I mean GOOD GOD my 2008 RSVR superbike can't go THAT fast and really thats on par with the top speed of say a gixxer or ninja and that was 53 years ago!!!!!!!
  4. I understand I love to tinker, add, subtract, so on so I get you AND yeah thats why all the green "bits" are at the painters to be turned matte black with new larger V11 logo's on the side minus the "sport" should look nice and slick and similar to if say a Scura and Rosso Mandello had a baby, you'll see it'll be hott and hell I still have all the stock silver body work sitting on a shelf, I could buy a rashed up V11 and have a second pristine bike in an hour
  5. psh, you should buy mine, it needs a loving home tho its a red framed sport not a lemans and hasn't been dropped(well knocked over by a asian(yes he was asian and no I'm not racist) in a parking lot that his insurance paid for fully) and has tons of upgrades, I'm just looking to give'r a good home and its in the forsale section with pics, body work is out for some paint right now thats not currently on the bike
  6. doode, jaap is going to keeel you
  7. yeah but unless you were a certified swiss watch maker I bet you couldn't ever keep it running
  8. Rich Maund all the way, he does a great job and it sure is comfy edit- your dog is just a pup, half the size of my 200lb lap dog for comparison thats a 500lb moto guzzi he's nearly the same size as
  9. ah, perectly normal really tho guzzi's sound to the liking if you were on any other bike it would be ready to blowup and die, only ducati's dry clutch comes close but then all the other noises of the valves and push rods it really is like someone chopped off 2 cyl off a old school V8 small block I love the quirks just make sure your oil is topped off and the oil light NEVER comes on, m ine did a few times under acceleration when new and found out it was eating the old pretty good back then, its leveled off and only sips the oil with no problems in the last 15k mi
  10. oh trust me, I bet that wont be the last time I use that pic on BFG
  11. how can I logically point up someone for their own quiz? it can't be done I tell you
  12. I KNOW, but it is a really good vintage bike I mean hell it hanst changed in 20 years 40 depending on what youre looking at (well the brand new ones are a bit more advanced but not a lot) we should get Jaap to spam the board like he did with the probation email anyone get the word out on squadra, wildguzzi and whatever else sites?
  13. we're all a bunch of damn cheaters, I love you guys I voted twice
  14. I like it too, if the MPG's are up there it would make a great townie bike that looks classic with new(ish) technology

    KICKED OFF

you probably got deleted in a round of "cleaning out the unused accounts" exercises that jaap has done, don't take offense, unless you did something offensive then take offense
  16. I've seen a few tails for sale, maybe you can get the rear subframe welded up good as new? I don't really see any other damage is it on the otherside? you could possibly have the seat redone by rich maund, ask him about it but I bet he could make it so you can't even tell it was damaged and add some nice gel with the cover of your liking, I think his service will run you about $300 on the highside if I'm not mistaken and a new tail shouldn't be more than $150, I like the M4's new style better but there is a lot of neat exhaust such as the Mivv's(they sound redonkulous) quat-d's, FBF, sharks, staintunes, whatever you like if the pipes are the same diameter really. I actually have a seat and tail I'm just not ready to part with them
  17. yeah, makes me want the stelvio even more
  18. what kind of mileage does this thing get? would it even make a practical commuter bike?
  19. Looks great I love your exhaust and the rear tail light option you've installed. Looks great on the otherhand I can't believe you don't have any barend weights, you must have huge forearms or at least very numb hands com'on put some nice looking weights on that beech, your arms will thank you JESUS CHRIST, anyone notice where he installed his pegs/controls??? we're all trying to figure out a lower option but wouldya look at that
  20. well what do you call it? I guess I would call it a motard or enduro, maybe not quite as purpose built as the qouta but it sure is a lot nicer looking, I think it'll do me great for my 90% on road 10% off I don't do any off road or dirt roads currently but I haven't the tool for it.
  21. god damn, we're onto sumptin
  22. how did you know I was left handed? I throw righty tho, strange that everything else is lefty
  23. some things are made for ebay some are not, this should really be in a specialist auction for race and rare race bikes. No bids with a day left on it but I don't think the people that would really want this hang out on ebay
